  1. That's the very choke Nitro suggested for my 1300 three years ago as well. Nitro's and Rhino's go together extremely well. You won't be disappointed!! Check out this pattern target from three seasons ago. There's an honest 316 pellets inside that 10" circle at 40 yards!! Yep, the Nitro/Rhino combo is a well matched couple!!
  2. I use their 3" load #H378 with 1 7/8oz of 4X5X7 plated hevishot. These are the real deal!!
  3. Awesome bird MudHen!! WTG!!!
  4. I've seen it on their web site, but I don't know of anyone who has one as yet. I've been using the Leupold 1X4 shotgun scope on my gun since 92', and love that extra thick reticle.
  5. Hunting in NY mostly. Like to try PA and Ohio sometime though.
  6. The gas auto's have their reliability problems with grit and debris in the action just due to the "combustion gases" cycling the action. Now it seems that Benelli's have a "potential" problem with dirty recoil springs? What gives????
  7. I'm seriously thinking of picking up a SBE II for next springs season here in NY, and I hear you on the "open" sights!! I currently use a scope, and while it works great, I can see the benefits of not having anything blocking your view!! [ 05-22-2006, 12:21 PM: Message edited by: dblcluck ]
  8. Hey Mudhen, just curious, are you using a scope or Red Dot site, or are your just using the twin beads that come on your gun?
  9. Be sure to check out the Aimpoint line of Red Dot opticle sights!! They are rated #1!! http://www.aimpoint.com/
  10. I may be getting the SBE II in the near by future, it's good to know what works in this gun!! Thanks!!
  11. How did your new gun and choke combo work?

    Choke

Turkey chokes normally are used with #4, #5, and #6 size shot. I would think that Buckshot would damage your choke because of the larger pellet size.
  13. All calls sound great: Box, pot, push-pull, mouth call, etc. The deadliest call by far is the mouth call, mainly because you can have your face up against the stock while keeping both hands on your gun while making your calls. I prefer a slate/glass call as well as mouth calls.
  14. I went with a Rhino choke for my Winchester 1300, and I'm assuming that they would also make a choke for the Benelli line as well. I would check with Rhino to see what size choke restriction they suggest for the Benelli.
  15. Doesn't Benelli's reciever's come already drilled and tapped right from the factory? I think all you need is one of their scope bases. Anyone else have an opinion on this?
  16. I personally have no need for a 3 1/2" gun, so the M1 would suit me fine. But if you like the 3 1/2" chamber, the Super Black Eagle would be your choice.
  17. I'd go for the Benelli M1 over the Mossberg 935 anyday. Sure it'll cost you more money up front, but the quality is there with the Benelli!!! So it'll last you many more years of trouble free service!!
  18. You already have the best choke out there in my opinion. Now all you have to do it try some Nitro hevishot turkey loads out of it!! Start with there H378 3" 1 7/8oz load of 4X5X7 at 1,200fps. I think you'll be absolutely shocked at your patterns!! Click onto the link below for Nitro. http://www.nitrocompany.com/
  19. I finally was able to actually handle one at the NWTF Convention last month in Columbus, Ohio. Most Sporting goods store around me don't have one in stock? I have to say, I was somewhat skepticle about them until I held one in my hands. For a designated "turkey" gun, I think they have merit!! Just curious, I was wondering if they intend to make these guns in the matt Black finish or another camo choice (Mossy Oak Break-up)????
