  3. I am a lefty, and I already have a SBEII. The M2 is now officially for sale. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16874
  4. Thanks! That's too good of a deal. I already spent most of the proceeds today on a new smokeless powder Savage muzzleloader.
  5. I've decided to sell the new M2 that I won at the Ducks Unlimited dinner the other night. This is a brand new unfired M2 in Max-4 camo 26" barrel Sale includes all chokes (5) Shims Choke wrench Benelli Oil All factory manuals and papers Benelli Hard Case I have researched pricing online and the best price I see is around $1150 plus shipping. I am asking $1125 shipped to your or $1100 face-to-face to another VA resident. If you can show me the same gun in stock somewhere else for a better price, I will match that price. Interested parties may contact me via PM.
  6. Picked it up this morning.
  7. I saw similar reports on another site yesterday. Nearest one to me is 75 miles.
  8. Reminds me of one of my favorite jokes. A baby seal walks into a club....
  9. Didn't get a chance to pick it up today. It's a bit ridiculous that I had my hands on it last night, yet I now have to drive 65 miles one way to seal the deal. I'll go for it tomorrow.
  10. It takes a big shutter to make Sgt. Cathy shudder
  11. No. This is a waist.
  12. My condolences DU = Ducks Unlimited To be honest, I'm more of a Delta supporter, but it was two free tickets and there was nothing on TV, except some game show where the contestants were asked questions and then had to talk about something completely unrelated .
  13. DU Dinner earlier tonight. I think it's an M2 Field in camo. Not sure which pattern. I'll go and pick it up maybe on Thursday. There was free alcohol, so I'll know more when I see it again. Might go for a trade for a LH model.
  14. Mudhen, When are we going to see some California birds on this thread?

Yes, I believe that's what he meant. That's a common twist rate for that cartridge.
  16. A couple of the woodie drakes got considered for mounts, but I decided to not spend the $$$ right now.

  18. You could try shooting with that finger extended. Since you have large paws, that should still leave you with ample grip from the others. A better solution may be to wrap either the finger or the rear of the guard with some tape or something to cushion the blow.
  19. And here are some of them served up for Sunday supper!
  20. Good job! Nice rig.

You can find more information and more Franchi fans on the Shotgun World Forums in the "I Love My Franchi" section.

The Dick's Sporting Goods O/U's are made by Franchi. They are less glitzy than the Franchi branded shotguns, but they are functionally the same. Think in terms of Toyota & Lexus. I had a Franchi Veloce O/U and loved it. Wish I hadn't sold it, but I did. They are well-built quality Italian shotguns. They are reliable and hold their value or appreciate slightly if kept in good condition. Beretta is the parent company. They are one of the largest companies in Italy. Under the corporate umbrella of Beretta Holdings Group, Benelli, Franchi, Stoeger, Uberti all co-exist.

Benelli does not produce O/U shotguns. Franchi, Stoeger, and of course Beretta are all Beretta companies which all offer O/U models.
