  1. It must truly suck to not be able to use a rifle for deer. Congrats on making the best of a bad situation.

    Benelli M1-121

Help him if you can. He doesn't know much about Benelli firearms. Mostly, he's got Mossbergs
  3. I tried one for a few hours of frustration when duck hunting a couple of years ago. Ended up ripping it off the barrel and tossing it into the lake. As soon as I did that, I began hitting birds again. I think it's a good tool for people with eye dominance problems or those who can't keep their head down on the stock properly. I was on limbsaver's site yesterday and I noticed that they have some new fiber optic sights there as well.
  4. Newer models of sporting guns will not allow a "floater" by default, but this is easily fixed with a little epoxy or tig welder.
  5. Just a technique. Load her up as usual (7+1). Ease the bolt back enough to get the chambered shell clear of the chamber. Then push that one down onto the carrier. Slip another above it and drop it into the chamber. Make sure the carrier is all the way down and let the bolt close.
  6. Anything, including a wooden dowel cut to length will work. A dowel will need to be inserted inside the magazine tube, below the rataining cap. You can get the original type on ebay for about $15 or Numrich for $22.
  7. Twice barrels are also ambixtrous. A nice short coach gun will get their attention, and there's no semi-auto or pump action to get wrong.
  8. Browning BPS High Capacity It's ambidextrous - bottom eject/tang safety
  9. It's not the number of words, but the length of those words. Every word must be four characters or more. Kind of a DUMB rule considering Benelli makes M2, M3, M1, SBE, and so on.
  10. A good gunsmith can install anything you want. Limbsavers what come with mounting plates work well in synthetic and hollow stocks. The mounting plate can be epoxied inside the cut stock and then the pad is attacked in the traditional manner with screws. I had a 700 PSS rifle that was shortened and a limbsaver was installed. An aluminum plate is fitted inside the end of the synthetic stock and the pad is screwed to that. Here's how it looked when it was finished.

Look at the proof codes and compare to this chart.
  12. sold Sold
  13. You mean like this? https://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=113661603
  14. Ha! The flood of Spammers has them blocking any words containing i-p-o-d. Brilliant. Our resident experts on the M1014 will be along to help you shortly; as soon as they're back in from a day of Zombie hunting.
  15. It could be doing that. That's something I have suspected the Stoegers are doing, thus leading to FTF's. Like I said, pull it back about two inches and let it go. As IdahoDucker indicated, give it at least three or four boxes of heavy field loads before you call CS about it.
  16. Cutting the Comfortech stock is not a great idea. Getting a standard stock and having a gunsmith cut it down and installing a limbsaver is a better option. Explain to the gunsmith that you still need to access the retaining nut, so he can leave a hole in the middle of the plate.
  17. No. I think you just need to get used to the ways of a Benelli. Check the bolt and ejector position when the bolt is fully closed and get used to how it looks. If it isn't fully closed and rotated, pull it back about two inches and let it go. Either that or tap the handle with the heel of your hand and use it as a forward assist.
  18. Was the primer struck? Are you easing the bolt closed or letting the release go and allowing it shut with force? The only Benelli click I'm aware of occurs when the bolt isn't fully into battery.
  19. OK - Let's try it for $1,050 shipped - $1025 FTF
  20. I was looking around for scope mount options for my new Savage muzzleloader when I came across these one-piece ring/base combination mounts. They also have mounts for Benelli shotguns and rifles. Worth mentioning. http://www.dnzproducts.com/index.php
  21. snicker, snicker
  22. I thought you had to have a special permit in Mass. just to look at the pictures
  23. Maybe call Numrich and ask them. As I said, it's listed to fit the M2. If their oversize will fit it, then Dave's probably will as well.
  24. What model is your 20 ga. Numrich lists one part number for the oversize safety to fit M1 and M2 without reference to gauge.
  25. No takers? Show me where you can get a better deal There's even a perfect match pistol grip stock on Ebay for it.
