  1. So, it went from this: To this:
  2. Thanks man. As for symmetrical - yeah, it isn't 100%, but it's not too bad. It should go down the track anyway. Thanks again for the pics.
  3. Junior - I need one more pic if you please. I need a shot from the top down so I can see the lines on the ducks back to be able to duplicate the wings just a little bit. Thanks man.

    for mudhen

LOL!! Oh man, that was a classic!
  5. That's funny right there, I don't care who you are.
  6. Pinewood Derby is usually Cub Scout stuff, but we're doing it at a church activity. We're having a bbq that night (husbands and wives) and the guys are racing their cars afterwards.
  7. Technicality.
  8. Except a beetle isn't an animal. But yes, that would be cool.
  9. Pinewood Derby car. We're supposed to do a car that is shaped like an animal and I had been considering doing some decoy carving anyway and thought it would be fun to try a duck for the car.
  10. This is it after the first cut: And now I'm down to this:
  11. Started out with a block of wood:
  12. Very impressive. My congratulations to the both of them, and to the proud father.
  13. Ha ha ha - I knew that was coming.
  14. Maybe if I get "really" ambitious I'll try it on my 20 guage Nova.
  15. I have probably 60 rounds of 3-1/2" shells through it and maybe 25 rounds of 3", and maybe a 100 rounds of 2-3/4" shells?
  16. And does it shoot the 2-3/4" shells now? You'll still need to break it in with approximately 200 rounds. And as stated also, I would put 30-50 rounds of 3-1/2" shells through it. That'll help the break-in process. Then clean it. You can follow Tuckers instructions on how to do that by downloading this PDF file: click HERE. Follow the instructions on that page (click NEXT PAGE three times and then DOWNLOAD SBE cleanup.pdf) to get the easy to follow instructions for cleaning your SBE II. Return and report.
  17. Were those actual prairie dogs or just ground squirrels? I've only seen PD's while traveling, but we still hunt GS when we get the chance.
  18. Dude, I am SO not painting my X2. No - way. I will however be happy to paint yours with this method. Just buy one and send it to me.
  19. Was reading in another forum and saw this and it looked awesome: Click Here.
  20. Cool - thanks guys!
  21. Yeah, I searched through that and didn't find what I needed. I need a picture directly from the side, as if the decoy were laying on its belly and you were eye-level to it.
  22. Cool - thanks man.
  23. Gis? ..........
  24. You bought that deadfowl trainer for your pup and if I can, I need to get a picture of that from you. We're doing a Pinewood Derby and the theme for it is to do an animal shaped car, and so I'm going to do a duck. I have a top-down shot: So what I need now is a profile shot, so could I have you lay your dokken trainer on a flat surface (maybe the side of a table or workbench?) and take a couple pictures of it from the side? I need to get that so I can figure out the shape of it from the side. Thanks man.
  25. Except that spur length tends to vary from species to species, due to what type of terrain they live in as spurs will get worn down on birds that live in area's that are more rocky. In certain area's it probably is a fairly good indicator for age of a bird, just not everywhere.
