  1. Nice. Now they just need eotechs.
  2. What car do you have that gets 4-5 mpg? That's atrocious.
  3. Integrate it into the quad rail system and I'll buy one
  4. 2.89 in Albany. You must be real downstate to be paying that much. [ 04-19-2006, 06:12 PM: Message edited by: Duggan ]
  5. Haha! Everyone thinks they have to remove the recoil pad and that suspicious looking nut their first time handling the gun ... So don't feel bad. Luckily, it's a lot easier. The pistol grip should screw right on, then for the buttstock piece, tilt it to the left and hold the button in up to the third line. It should then tilt over to the right, and will move up and down from there to the 3 possible positions.
  6. Sweet. Now start selling them
  7. Hoho. I paid 230 for one a week ago just because I wanted it fast and secure. 155 is a good price.
  8. I 2nd the Nodakspud link. I have one, and it works perfectly.
  9. Got mine today. The tube goes on/comes off tilted left. It collapses and moves tilted right. From what I can see, you definitely have your buttstock way too far forward. Your recoil tube isn't milled to allow this. To get it to tilt straight, back it up (tilted left, button in) until the faint line in the metal is right at the front of the buttstock. Then it should click into place. Those lines are there to tell you where to move the stock to before it will rotate into place. I'm 99% sure if you move it back to that line, it will click into place perfectly.
  10. I will see what I can find out in a few days when my collapsible stock gets here.
  11. Load up your mag tube. Empty shell carrier, empty chamber. Rack it back, and allow it to come forward enough that the shell carrier pops up. Move the bolt forward a few more milimeters, so that it is beyond the shell carrier pop up point. Now push the shell carrier down with your finger, while holding the bolt in that position. If you work it right, you can fit a shell, rimmed end first, through the side of the reciever and onto the shell carrier. Keep the bolt in place to prevent it from popping out. Once its in, the bolt above it keeps it from coming up. You should still have a few inches left before the bolt closes. Fit a shell into the chamber, and close the bolt. You've now floated a shell. Now, for some reason I haven't really looked into yet, it won't load the floated shell like, 1 out of 20 times I'd say. When this happens, after the first shot, the bolt flies back into lockback, and does not come back forward to chamber the floated round. When this happens, you have to just hit the bolt release button, and blast away. I don't know if this is just me, or the light 9 shot target ammo I've been using, or the position I put my shell in, but it happens once in awhile. For this reason, if your life is on the line, I wouldn't reccomend floating a shell. Oh, and I always keep my hand near the bolt release button when floating shells, so I can recover quickly if it does fail to chamber the round I floated. But most times it works flawlessly. Maybe someone else will know why this happens, but I'm not sure. [ 04-13-2006, 01:42 PM: Message edited by: Duggan ]
  12. I will be buying one of these the day they become available. Any rough range on cost yet? If it has any relation to AR rails, should be in the 250-300 range for a precision machined rail.
  13. What is that rubber looking thing at the end of your gun between the barrel and the mag tube? It looks like something that would eliminate play/rattle, or maybe a bootleg nylon sling mount, but probably not. What is that thing?

  15. Uhh... The recoil tube you use is the recoil tube that is attached to the gun. That's what seperates the 11707 from the others ... our recoil tubes have notches on them, while the others are smooth. and no idea on the fake stocks. [ 04-06-2006, 06:33 PM: Message edited by: Duggan ]
  16. Nodakspud is top quality, almost better than the factory benelli. It's lathed perfectly. Can't say for the other one, as I've never used it. And yes, the factory spring works fine for me. [ 04-06-2006, 06:27 PM: Message edited by: Duggan ]
  17. You twist the stock off. Grab the upper receiver in one hand, the piston grip in the other, and twist couterclockwise. As far as the other stuff, that is all as it's supposed to be, you just need to get used to how it works. If the hammer is cocked back, the bolt will not stay locked back after the inital release. You can slide it forward and back as much as you want without it locking, as the hammer is already back. Starting with an empty gun, in the bolt locked back position (the position your gun would be in if you had just fired your last shot from a previous round), drop a round directly into the chamber from the side. Make sure the safety is on when you first start doing this. Press the bolt release button. This will slam the bolt forward, giving you a hot weapon, and allowing you to load 5 more rounds into the mag. To fire, just hit the safety and blast away. As far as shooting without doing that, semi-auto benellis act that way. If you are not shooting, the bolt acts kind of independant from the magazine, different from most guns. It has no detachable magazine to strip a round out of, so it will just slide forward and back as you want it to, without really doing anything. Only when you release a shell from the mag onto the carrier will it chamber a round. In short, unless there is a shell in the chamber being shot, the movement of the bolt alone will not chamber a round. This is an awesome feature, beleive it or not, as it allows you do a lot of things, ie change the round in the chamber, float rounds, etc. Just shoot some more and you'll get used to the system. Don't make any judgements concerning reliability or jamming or anything until you have put about 100 rounds through it. The bolt and surrounding chamber will wear into each other, making the action considerably smoother and more natural feeling.

  19. Wow. I guess I completely overlooked the end of the box. I was very happy to see those 5 numbers on the little tag. Now comes the issue of whether it is legal to have a collapsible stock in NY ... but it is being ordered either way, if I can ever find a place that has them in stock. 20. How can I tell if my gun is that model? What are the differences I should look for? That's my box, if it helps. I see no model number on it. [ 04-01-2006, 02:52 PM: Message edited by: Duggan ]
  21. Hey guys, I've been coming here for awhile, getting info and such, but I finally decided to make an account and join the community. I currently have an M4 and a custom AR I mostly built myself. I'm in the process of doing massive amounts of work to both of them. That's the AR. Pretty sick setup, and only getting more custom as more stuff comes out. Between the ridiculously heavy Hart match barrel, hydraulic buffer, tangodown grip and LMT trigger, this thing shoots flat as can be. You can shoot rapid fire, tracking targets with almost no recoil whatsoever. It will only get better when I replace the A2 flash suppressor with a brake/comp of some type, be it a JP, troy or phantom. You should see the look NY police get on their face when they come investigating reports of automatic gunfire, only to find myself and 4 friends with similar weapons in our massive sandpits. They look pissed as heck at first, then sort of in awe as they "check" our weapons, then they kind of get quiet as they realize just how much we have them outgunned. They usually apologize about hassling us, and high tail it out. The super sensitive anti-gun public truly does not appreciate silencers nearly enough, which are impossible to own in NY, ironically. But anyways, still coming is the Troy front/rear BUIS set, which is pretty sick. I'm looking into building multiple uppers and lowers, for various setups and calibers, as well as an optical system based on larue mounts, for a truly modular weapon system. Being able to go from a 6.5 grendel, IOR 3-18x, magpul PRS setup to LMT MRP 14.5, ACOG, Crane stock setup is very attractive. Just me though. That's the m4 in pieces on my table. I'm not sure exactly what "number" model it is, if someone can tell me what to look for/get pictures of, I can give more information. The only things I have done so to it is a nodakspud extension, which is top notch, an EoTech 512 with a larue mount, also awesome, and a blackhawk assault sling. I bought the gun, eotech, sling, case, box, 3 chokes, etc, from a friend of mine a few days after he bought it. I added the LaRue mount. He paid 1600 for the whole setup, and loved it, but it was not what he was looking for. He wanted a bird gun, and the m4 is decidedly not a bird gun. He offered it to me for 1150, which I took up on the spot. So I got a killer deal on a killer gun, in practically new condition. He had put about 100 rounds through the gun when I bought it from him. After the first 30 rounds he put through it, neither of us has ever had it jam, misfire, or do anything unordinary. I have put probably 500 rounds through it, ranging from 9 shot light target shells to 3 inch OOO buck. It flys through everything, regardless of what it is. So those are my 2 tactical guns. I have a few others, but not really anything worth talking about. I've done a lot of shooting with a lot of guns, so I have a pretty good idea of what is out there. With that in mind, I know a heck of a lot more about AR's than I do about benelli's, which is why I'm here. Hopefully I can help some people out, as well as learn from some of you guys. -Greg Duggan
  22. Will the collapsible stock fit on my m4? I saw in another post you said your tube needed notches. Is this what you are talking about? I don't know what else they would be for. Also, is there any other requirement in order for the stock to fit? [ 04-01-2006, 01:30 PM: Message edited by: Duggan ]
