  1. Good deal Be sure to show us a photo of that rope dragg'in long beard when you thump him.
  2. I'll be sure to post up a review once I get it all set up I’ll do my best not only to review the set up and function of it but how it looks, feels on the gun and the over all quality of it. The one thing I find really found appealing about the pull assist is that's not a permanent thing. I’ve had my Remington’s worked on before and actually had a hard time finding a gunsmith willing to do them. With this if it fits my other guns; all I’ll have to do it take it off, put it on another gun and adjust it. Sounds like you could do a trigger job in about 10 minutes on any of you guns. Good Luck & Hunt Safe
  3. Just got off the phone from ordereing my sight. I asked them about their design and how TruGlo is now designed liked their sights. He told me that TruGlo orders bases from them. He didn't know how much of the Williams parts they order but they are getting the bases directly from Williams. So we're all using the same quality sights
  4. Thanks td I love my set up and think that a lot of gobblers with be getting rolled for years to come with it. I'm looking to add an EZ Pull Trigger Assist soon. Ordered it last night and I hope it make my turkey thumper even sweeter! I'm not trying to stir your pot by this but it you look back several years ago, TruGlo sight were designed different and actually had plastic ramp parts. That's when I used them and that's when the rear ramp just fell off my gun. They since then changed their design to what you see now and like you mentioned, they are pretty identical to the Williams Sight. I strongly believe that's why they changed their sight mount to Williams design. The William sights mounts rock solid! I'll be ordering another set for my Benelli 20ga today. TruGlo has defiantly build a better sight since the day they first put out the turkey sights and I feel they would defiantly work well. I personally can not bring myself to trusting them again. For those that use them, I'm glad they're happy and hope they never have an issue like I did Good Luck & Hunt Safe! Tooky
  5. I bought a pack of 100 of these puppies Because of the size of the targets, you really get a great look at the whole shot pattern, I feel they're the best ones on the market today. If you ever have any input them QBP, you should suggest making the target 10" all around bigger to even get a better look at the whole shot pattern.
  6. Limit to two photos so here's the site
  7. I set my SBE II with Williams Fire sights. Tried the TruGlo in the past and had them fall off in the middle of a hunt. I feel their good but I’ll never trust them on any of my guns again. Not to mention the Williams are built solid and even cost a little less than the TruGlo sights. Here’s a photo of them and even a couple of my pattern from a Rhino / Nitro set up I patterned today
  8. Here's something I posted on my forums on gun patterning from the Nitro catalog when I got my ammo. I can't really back up what all they say but I liked it and thought it was good information. Especially coming from a company that makes their living loading shotgun shells & test patterns. Hope it helps and that maybe someone that knows more about it can chime in on their thoughts TESTING LOADS: It is very important to clean your barrel before starting and testing. Today there are many modern plastic wads that leave a build up of plastic in all barrels. The bore must be cleaned with a solvent that will dissolve plastic. This is a must for maximum potential of your shotgun shell. While testing, run a dry patch down the barrel between shots to keep clean any powder residue, oil or solvent that way be left in the bore. This combination can interfere with your pattern and could jump the wad. After shooting 10 to 15 shot, clean barrel with solvent for plastic residue as when you started. Let the solvent soak for at least I hour to dissolve all the plastic. Loads should be tested in the same weather conditions. Make sure the humidity and temperature are the same when testing loads on different days. Low humidity is always best for testing loads with the temperature of 50 to 60 degrees and no wind. Weather plays an important part in patterning. When hunting in the rain, the moisture in the air will open your pattern. Therefore, your maximum range in the rain would be 10 yards less than normal. Loads should be shot onto a large piece of paper, at least newspaper size. You will be able to get a view of where you gun is shooting. If you do not do this, you are wasting your time and money. Your gun may be shooting to the right or to the left. You need to know if you have to adjust your sights or compensate on a bead sight. Sometimes sight do not adjust from left to right and in these instances, we recommend using adjustable rifle sights or a scope. WE DO NOT recommend lengthening forcing cones. Our testing finds that lengthening the forcing cone hinders the pattern instead of helping it. We highly recommend polishing the barrel and forcing cone – NOT LENGTHENING!!!! It is not so much what you want to shoot, but rather what your shotgun WILL shoot. Your gun could take small or large shot, Hevi-shot, copper or nickel shot. The harmonics of each individual varies, just like a rifle. We recommend longer barrels for optimum performance. An ideal barrel length would be 26” for faster velocities and better patterns.
  9. I was liking that gun too! If I had seen it before buying mine I probably would have bought one like yours Tucker. How did you get buy it like that? Was it a special order?
  10. Either I didn't realize you wanted to try them or my memory is fried! It’s probably just fried A two year old all day will do that to ya! Anyways, I'm sorry to keep you waiting bud! Just shoot me over your address on your board or on here and get a few out to ya ASAP. I'll probably put together a call packages for your turkey contest! How about three packages with 4 calls and a call case?
  11. Oh yeah!! I've got a box of 25 in my office right now. I still need to pattern it with the other ammo I told you about but the Nitro will be the main load going through him.
  12. I forget the county but the furthest south we've hunted was in the Petersburg or closer yet, the Dolly Sods area. We would head down to the Smoke Hole area trout fishing on the Potomac from Jan up to turkey season. Only in your area once for white water rafting with the River Men guide service. That was back when Chevy dropped the blazer off the New River bridge. Well again, welcome to the forum
  13. That's a tough one! Can we break it down to different type of calls? I love my mouth calls and finish just about all my hunts with mouth calls but I also wouldn't want to pass up my Kaiser Kall....the copper one
  14. What part of WV are you in dg? My buddy has a camp just north or Morgantown. Been going there for the last 12 years or so chasing turkeys.
  15. Scout, I plan on getting the Rhino for my Big Ben. I'll still have the jellyhead for when we the TRC pro staff get together for the Benelli sight in We need to get on Ken to make that purchase RobinVT just bought a Benelli 20ga! I'm selling him my 20ga jellyhead tube seeing I already just picked up the Rhino 20ga tube.
  16. LOL Yeah but there many things that Benelli can't do that I'd rather not get into
  17. If anyone hears or sees a Rhino choke tube for sale for a SBE II, could you please let me know. Between buying a box of 25 Nitro loads, my Benelli 20ga, a Rhino tube for the 20ga and now Nitro loads for the 20! I’m running out of way to explain things to my wife. If I can buy something and save money, I might get back to the good ole eye roll and some yelling which I can handle. Right now, I’m getting the eye roll and silent stare which is something I don’t want to see from her
  18. LOL... AdamsCounty (where I was raised and where my family still lives) is one of the worst for turkeys in PA. Last summer I got permission on a 300 acre farm right on the Mason Dixon Line for bow hunting. I saw a few turkeys while hunting this fall so I'd like to try there. If my brother doesn't hear or roost any before I leave, my next spot was the Pocono’s! I lived in Stroudsburg for 4 years after high school and still have a lot of family from Stroudsburg all the way up to Scranton. I'm leaving today for PA/WV rabbit hunting! On my way back Sunday, I'm was planning on hitting the Harrisburg Show and then up to the Stroudsburg to check out a few old hunting spots. My cousin tells me a few have been developed
  19. I am very lucky! And to think I was pretty upset that this leap year was cutting my WV hunt short. I'll be doing my best to get as many hunts as I can with friends and their kids around NH. Only if my season opener goes like it has in the last 9 years. The list of people wanting me to call for them or take them hunting grew in the past few years. I get a real kick out of helping someone else tag their bird! Most of the time I think I'm more excited about it than they are.
  20. I just ordered a Rhino .575 for my Monte 20GA I've got a Jelly Head for my SBE II but probably will be buying the Rhino for it as well. I hate shocking my wife as at once..I like to the drag them out over the next few months.
  21. .....state? The season is just around the corner and my fever is already starting to get to me. I've got until May 26 before I can hit the woods carrying "Big Ben" or "Natalie" and it's killing me I'm planning on hitting PA opener then onto WV for three days. After WV I'll be leaving for NY for two days of turkey chasing before I head back here to NH for our opener. My VT hunting will come on the weekends or whenever I can get out for the month of May. All this state hoping should give me a great chance at winning something nice in my NHW&W hunting forums spring contest. What state or states is everyone else planning on hunting?
  22. Nope, I never tried it or know anyone else that has. But now that you've mentioned it, I'll have to try it out next time I get a goose. I wonder if you could use a turkey wing bone? I'm not sure who it was but I did hear of a guy that was using turkey wing bones as striker tips.
  23. Yes it did. I guess I'll be making a phone call here soon to Rhino to order up the turkey tube for her. Thanks for the tip on the Mobil Chokes ; )
