  1. Yes, it will hold up to "normal" use. Mine did 2,250shells in Argentina in 3 days.Had to wear a leather glove on my left hand(heat),and athletic tape on my trigger finger and thumb(all that loading)!
  2. Asking people in an open forum labeled Big Game Hunting and Turkey Hunting questions about what type of calls they use, or if they have heard of a certain kind of call is hardly spamming, it's having a conversation about things we have in common.I tried to have a conversation about where people were from and what they enjoyed doing with their favorite shotgun, and it ended up in a cluster about hot dog carts and shooting innocent turtles. I agree with using knowledge to help others,I have access to some of the best info in the hunting industry and for that I am fortunate.I simply am trying to help others by sharing that info. It's there at their fingertips, and that is sharing the wealth, not spamming. The people who PM me don't seem to have a problem with it,so I'll just take that as a sign. Sorry I struck a nerve.
  3. Don't be a hater, tuck. I'm just sharing the wealth. Not everyone who uses this forum needs gun repair advice from pros such as yourself. Some people actually HUNT,and would like to be kept up to date with what's new in the U.S.A. If you or your followers don't like it,remember what those three letters stand for.I'm not 5 and neither are you, so let's move forward like civilized adults.
  4. The Beretta has the LEAST amount of recoil on the list, not the most! (OOPs)there are too many differences between models to determine which has the most. There are lightweight versions of the A-5 that will kick harder than the standard one, because they weigh a lb less.Compare the weights of said guns, then it will become clearer. Anyone else???
  5. Yes, make your own choice. You can't expect to go on a manufacturer's forum without a hint of bias sprinkled in there,or can you....?
  6. Buy the best that you can afford, and you'll never have regrets.
  7. 870 HAS A TON MORE HOP UP PARTS AVAILABLE,IF THAT' S WHAT YOU'RE INTO,cOLAPSING STOCKS,SIDE MOUNT SHELL HOLDERS,ETC.tHE SUPERNOVA HAS A COOL FACTOR AND POTENTIAL.iN THIS SITUATION ONLY,I'D GO WITH THE 870.TALK TO SOME POLICE OFFICERS IN YOUR AREA AND SEE WHAT IS MOUNTED IN THE MAJORITY OF THEIR PATROL CARS. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION,WEIGH IT IN WITH THE OTHERS ON HERE AND THAT OF THOSE WHOSE LIVES DEPEND ON THEIR WEAPONS. GOOD LUCK
  8. That's awesome.Keep me posted if you get one.Show us the pics of that big buck!lol
  9. I'll stay out of this one because people will think I'm biased.I'm a fan of all turkey calls custom and mass produced.I just love the sound of turkeys!
  10. Let us know what you come up with!
  11. Split the difference between long and short, get a 26". "don't kill the middle man."
  12. Message me like the other guys do.It's to confusing on a thread to explain something, because someone says something totally different on the reply. The next person after them disagrees and puts their 2 cents in, and you still don't have an answer to your question. This is a very simple fix with your finish issue, but it will be made more complex here.
  13. That tells me exactly what I needed to know. More advertising.
  14. Check out Mack's Prairie Wings catalog or look them up online, they are THE waterfowl place.Chokes for days in there!Their Prostaff is also very helpful. Also look at some different shell options like WingmasterHD or Hevishot, they can split the difference with range/knockdown power.
  15. What type of finish does it have on it?
  16. I fell in love with Hevi13.That stuff is NASTY in all the guns I've tested,in a good way!I might buy a GA licence, and shoot turkeys from down here in Florida with it( LOL).All kidding aside, keep trying new things and have fun!I have as much fun getting ready as I do on the hunt.
  17. You'll get 10 different answers from 10 different people. There is no choke you "should" use except the one that patterns best in YOUR gun.Experimentation is the key, start with the most open choke you have and work your way down.Pay attention to the warnings on the side of your tubes, make sure they say "steel ok" before trying steel shot.If you can go shoot some clay targets with your dove loads with an Ic and mod choke. Be safe, and have fun!
  18. That does bring up a good question,if the 3in shells shoot perfect, why do you want the added shoulder beatdown and cost of 3 1/2" loads?
  19. Are all your tubes ported? I had a similar problem until I switched to an un-ported tube.
  20. What type of M1s90 is it? Camo, wood stock, defense? My gun is a camo model, the magazine cap screws on and at the dead center of the cap,is a swivel stud that sticks out.nothing on mine goes "over the barrel" have any pics?
  21. Hey everyone, Tell us something about yourselves.Where do you live, what do you do with your Benelli(s),etc. We're all friends here!
  22. Guns America .com Google it $800 is on the high side in my area for a used one. $850 is the going rate for a new in box model in FL. You could save for a while more and buy an M2.Run that by your friend.Make sure your friend isn't going to run out and buy an M2 with the mark up they got off of you!LOL
  23. Great choice! As long as it turns 360 degrees only. That is normal. It gives the gun some freedom on your shoulder. If you point the gun straight up,barrel towards the sky the swivel should "spin" around like the lid of a soda bottle that wont come off. That's the best I can explain it.Anyone else?......
  24. F,IC,MOD,and cyl.
  25. Has anyone seen or tried the new Quaker Boy Squeezin' Bleat call?
