  1. If you look in the catalog, there is a page with stocks and forearms in the Benelli section, there you will find the pistol grip stock that fits the M1 and the original Super Black Eagle. It is the same part and # for both. It fits perfect. take care, and enjoy.
  2. BruceW, here's a long one for you. Doug is "My wife's boss's cousin's husband" I don't know him real well, but he is around for all of the NWTF functions and such in the area.I hope you had a good time in our little town.In W.W. dove hunting IS business!lol As long as you don't stuff mud and dirt down your barrel, you aren't going to damage your gun with 3.5 shells. Just make sure that the choke tubes you use say "steel o.k." on the side if you are going to use steel shot.
  3. Would you be able to trade your 2000 in for a Nova at a dealer near you,or for a S/Nova with some cash on top?
  4. I'm pretty impressed with the Golden Pheasant load from Fioc. in my 16ga Ithaca 37. It gives that little beast some fire to spew down field. We had a Bobwhite Quail population decline here in Fl. You used to trip over them everywhere, but many factors put them in jeapordy here, predators, development, etc.
  5. I shoot them all the time.Do your friends have any other "malfunctions" that they warned you about? This place is where you'll find the truth. The people in here put thousands of shells through their guns.
  6. The mod will get the job done in most cases. What shells are you using? What type of environment will you be hunting in,swamp, lake, etc?
  7. I love hunting them as well. What is the daily limit where you hunt?Where I hunt in Pa. it's two.Luckily, ducks, woodcock, and grouse are in at the same time.Sometimes the first bush you hit contains two suicidal birds, hellbent on ending your day!lol
  8. That gun is very beautiful. The lines on the reciever make it look fast sitting still!
  9. LOL!Now that is wishful thinking!
  10. What item(s) would you like Santa to bring you to use in the Spring?
  11. This is a little off topic, but I just want to say that the new Remington Nitro Pheasant shells are AWESOME. They put birds feet up before they even hit the ground!I used them a couple weeks ago on late season birds.Recoil is there, but not aweful, especially in late season, with more layers of clothes on.
  12. Supernova all the way. The availability of aftermarket parts is not great, but at least there are some options.Comfortech stock,SteadyGrip,Comb inserts, etc. and as you mentioned, the ability to shoot 3.5 shells. Good luck on your choice, its a great problem to have!
  13. Indeed they are good. There is no "Off Season" at Q.B.,Everyone is running around getting ready for big things in Spring. Dick has chilled out a little and let his son Chris handle the day to day, that gives him more time to do other, more enjoyable things! Turkeys are my #1 passion, and Waterfowl are starting to get up there.Pa deer hunting has changed a lot in the last few years. You used to not be able to get me off of a set of tracks till dark, now most evenings saw me sitting next to a bend in the creek, shooting at greenheads! Thanks for the support, and take care.
  14. Welcome. I just got back from 2 weeks in the Pocono's hunting deer and waterfowl. My family lives there,so I always have a blast,(pun intended!) Your gun should get a workout, the way the Canada's are flying the Delaware! Take care
  15. I stopped at Cabela's in Pa. on my way back yesterday, and went into the Bargain Cave at the back of the store.Man!There were choke tubes in every size and mfg. in there being sold at crazy cheap prices.I got a MadMaxII for $9.99 and a rifled Ben/Ber tube for the same. They had a SBEII/M2 Comfortech recoil pad that lists for$69.99 for $10.00 in a sandwich bag!If you have a store near you,run don't walk!
  16. The Supernova is an awesome choice for the task at hand. The amount of goodies you could buy with the money you save is quite large.Go to your gunshop with plenty of time on your hands, and stare at both Benelli's until one of them speaks to you. That will be your partner for life! You will win either way.
  17. I have one on a Remington 870,and I love it.They can be had for very cheap in the Cabela's shooting catalog.
  18. I know a guy that uses a Boyd's laminated "Sterling" thumbhole stock to shoot trap with, and he loves it.I'm glad to see that you have found something that helps you enjoy your time outdoors!
  19. True to that! I keep one inside my vest to put between my back and the tree.I have not found a vest yet with provided back padding that won't let you down in the heat of battle, aka when a gang of hens is giving you the staredown for 5 min while the big boy chills behind them! That tree seems to poke you in the back on purpose, just to get you to flinch!
  20. I love the Energizer head light, that is available at "The Marts" It has red and blue LED's,and it keeps my hands free in case I wake up a groggy boar in the palmettos,on my way in.My two hands are free.It is the most useful gadget around the house too.
  21. Does anyone remember "Diamondback" camo from Spider Oak outfitters? It looked like snake skin with some brush on top of it.What about Kelly Cooper's Tru-Leaf,from the late '90s?
  22. I have an old Advantage Classic "ninja"headband that I only bring out when it's Go TIME.I'm very superstitious about what I use and when, and when this baby comes out,the feathers start to fly!
  23. Good question! I use whatever works best for where I am hunting.I am on the Field Staff for Realtree,so I use their stuff most of the time.Turkey Season finds me in Hardwoods greenHD,APG,and Advantage Timber.Sometimes when I feel like throwin' down old school,I rock Advantage classic.Next week I'll be in PA. for deer, and I'll be wearing lots of Woolrich"Camwoolflauge".If the sharp observer looks through my pics, they might even see some Mossy Oak original Break-up in there!I take my selection very serious, and I haul two sets of each with me,wherever I go.
  24. There's always a good reason to buy a Benelli,if you think hard enough!Like, for instance, when I told my wife that I was tired of switching between the Steadygrip stock and the field stock,so I needed another one so I could have one of each ready at all times. We won't get into how that one ended;)
  25. I come from a very loyal Remington family.I was called a communist and a pinko for buying Benelli! I just love how they feel and look. Now if I could just convince them to build a pump rifle based on the R1.......
