  1. This is the most active forum of all the mfg. The quality of conversation is high, and there is a sense of community in the Benelli family.Besides guns that go bang everytime(mostly!) there is the cutting edge innovation that this company brings. We may not see eye to eye on everything, but at the end of the day we all have one thing in common, for one reason or another we love these guns! I get a special feeling everytime I look down the barrel.I hope you do too.
  2. Of all the choices on the market, why did you choose Benelli,Franchi,or Stoeger?
  3. I LOVE mine. These guns are the Dark Horse of Benelli's,they were the foundation that the future was built around. The best features of the M2 can be retrofitted onto the M1 with a little ingenuity and $$,if you so desire. The cost is offset by the great deals that can be found on M1's. enjoy!
  4. Extremely sorry for your loss.
  5. The longer you wait, the more you appreciate! Good luck
  6. JUST BUY THE SBEII! You will thank us later. If you start at the top, you find the climb much easier.
  7. I've seen a prototype of a "comfortech steadygrip" the bugs have not been worked out yet,but I hope to test one in Jan.
  8. Sorry to hear about your friend. These things are freak occurences that open peoples eyes too late. Here in Fl mosquitos are the state bird and everyone has to live with them most of the year.A couple of things that people can do is 1. make sure your property is clear of old tires and any other junk that can collect water after rain,as little standing watter build ups are prime mosquito breeding grounds. 2. limit outdoor activities around dawn and dusk(good luck hunters!) as this is when the bugs are most actively feeding. 3. If you must be out during these times consider a unit such as a ThermaCELL bug repellent system,as these protect large areas and are not offensive, oder wise as sprays are. sometimes the best defense is a good offense! check with your DNR for other tips. Be Safe.
  9. Is your local gunsmith a hack? or are you afraid to alter factory beauty?
  10. That's funny! You aren't too far away from Grice's after all!I was joking about them. They seem to always have "special" guns that no one else in the world has.I swore that they had dudes in the back mixing and matching,to come up with some of this stuff!
  11. I LOVE the Ithaca 37! I have a 12 and a 16 and no matter what fancy gun I buy, those two always get their share of blast time. They are the smoothest, fastest pumps I have ever encountered. There are some deals around on them;if you can find one,and the safety can be switched around in 30 min. to have a lefty special.
  12. No problem. Glad I could help!Hit my myspace sometime it's pretty cool.Guns, deer, turkeys it's all there!
  13. He only mentioned guns with 24" or 28" barrels.26" would be the median in his choices mentioned.
  14. I knew an answer would be found in here! I may have to send my PA. henchmen out to get one,I'll give you 1st pick(finders fee)! What town/store are they in?
  15. If someone was using some old swolen, corroded head shells, that might be a longshot possibility, but that situation would happen in almost any pump shot gun.The loose forearm is questionable too, as the fit and finish on Benelli's is on par with the best of 'em.Have you thought about a Stoeger p350? It is almost the exact same gun for alot less $$$.Check it out and get back to us on the forum. You can't make a bad choice on these three. Go to the top of the page ang click on the Stoeger logo and look up the P350
  16. Are you sure their SBE2's? The only non Comfortech version of that gun that I know of is the wood stocked version and the Steadygrip one.I could be wrong though, anyone else??? You aren't shopping at Grice's gunshop are you?
  17. I use an Ithica 37 16ga for grouse and woodcock, when the hike will be long. The Cordoba is an awesome rig, though.I'm sure someone around here will answer you about it.I'll stick with turkey talk with the Benelli's.Hit me up when that strikes your fancy. Good luck this Fall
  18. Have you considered an Ultralight? I just wondered if many hard core upland guys thought about using that fine machine.
  19. Go to your nearest Benelli dealer and compare the two side by side.Handle them and ask questions with an open mind.Deer dogging is fast and furious, and the gun you choose has to be rugged, reliable, and quick pointing,Both guns will fit the bill. We are interested in these"glitches" you speak of,though. Please tell what you've heard, and everyone here will shoot you straight. Good Luck this fall!
  20. What is the sale price on the non c/t sbe2? just curious.
  21. Birddog,I hope your real name is Bill Gates, the thought of the price of that gun and the shells to feed it makes my wallet shrivel up in my pocket! LOL
  22. Yeah, that pad on the S/G is a little rough on the shoulder. It feels like an axe blade when shooting magnum loads.
  23. Buy the best that you can afford, and you'll never be dissapointed.Welcome to the Benelli family!
  24. Who here lives in a "shotgun only" area for deer hunting?Do you wish you could use centerfire rifles,or are you content with using slugs/buckshot?
  25. Do you folks use/like Steadygrip stocks for turkeys?
