  1. I think I got a heck-of-a-deal on a Legacy 28ga. Just picked up a "Used" one (if you can call it that) no residue in the bolt assembly & gun looks like a new one for $1450. Went through 2 boxes last night just before dark & functioned flawlessly. Always wanted a 28 to go with my 20's but the Remingtons never appealed. Glad I waited on the Benelli. ONLY complaint is the 2+1 capacity, but otherwise....a freakin' awesome gun. Great point, easy to get on target, smooth swing & the lightest Benelli I have ever handled. Being a Legacy...it's obviously a sweet looking shotgun too
  2. You won't be disappointed with the Monte! Honestly, just having the "option" for the 4+1 would be the only "plus" over the ultra light. Otherewise, IMO they are pretty much equal
  3. My point exactly. It's not about being a better shot, I looked at it from the standpoint of flushing more than 1 bird
  4. Can't go wrong with an ultra light 20! They are sweet shooting & the recoil is similiar to a monty. Just remember the ultra light will only hold 2 +1 while the monty will give you an extra couple of shells.

    VINCI

I'll second that. I'm not too impressed (at least right now), especially with all the hype they were giving the Vinci. Couldn't imagine it would be "THAT" much better than the M2 or SBE that already incorporates all those features (minus the inline-inertia )
  6. Kinda like comparing Toyota to Lexus. Even though they are both owned by the same people & Toyota's are great dependable vehicles a Lexus is just a bit more refined
  7. Waterfowler, Kinda stinks it happened, but thank goodness it was only a $300 mossberg & not a $1K Benelli
  8. Neither, the M2 takes crio tubes
  9. Pdave, Honestly, you won't go wrong with any of the 3. With that said, the M2 comes w/ the comfortech, synthetic stock which will take some field abuse & not show it as much as the Monty or the Ultralight. The ultralight stock has had a "weather tech" finish applied to the wood which helps it shed water more easily, but slight dings & scapes will show up just like on a high-gloss finish gun. If you are in a state that does not have a shell limit, I'd go with either the Monty (if you prefer wood) or the M2 (synthetic, camo). But either of the 3 make for an awesome bird gun!
  10. PDave, 1 big difference is the # of rounds each gun will hold. The Ultralight will hold 2+1 while the Monte will go 4+1....how good of a shot are you?
  11. Sorry for your misfortune. I remember on checking for a new forearm for my Legacy awhile back & to order another one would cost $200-$300 .
  12. Inertia vs Gas.......most on here will go with the Benelli
  13. Sasquatch has so far been pretty elusive to the slug
  14. Trailcover.....I still have a pair of coveralls that look great!
  15. Hey guys....I didn't even get a chance to anwer on this one...Oh well, I guess I'll be waiting for Class IV

    Hello

Enjoy the SBE II. It's a true machine. You'll never want to shoot another semi-auto again! Let us know how you like it once you shoot it!
  17. Can't go wrong with a 20ga Super Sport or 20ga Sport II. Both weigh the same, are fast & won't kick her to death.
  18. Another difference is that a SBE II will retail for $1300-$1600 depending on options while the M2 wil sell generally in the $1100-$1200 range:)
  19. Mallard.....thanks for the 20ga tubes you sent me awhile back. They are getting a good work-out! Enjoy your new Cordoba, whenever it comes in
  20. 1 - Don't alter the Raffaello (too nice & too much $$ to alter. IMO) 2- I'm sure if you can afford a Rafaello, you could afford to just get a new Benelli Sport II, which will have all the features you have listed except a mag extension, which you could purchase anyway.
  21. Either way.....you won't be disappointed!
  22. This thread may be more appropriate on a Mossberg forum.....then again is there such a thing???
  23. THawk, I'm curious about how good your reasonable price opportunity is....if you don't mind sharing. You don't have to tell us where. The best price I've seen for a Legacy Elite pair is $4200
  24. M1014....this one is a stumper....
  25. M1014......sorry buddy I honestly don't know what the "V" stands for other than maybe "Vent Rib". The Model SL 121 (slug gun) had rear sights with a front "ramp" style sight, as would be appropriate for a slug gun. Who cares about the verbage anyway.....lets get to the next set of photos!
