  1. These shells are 1 1/4oz shot and 4 dram. I gave it not a thorough cleaning after raining in the field and put a few drops on the inside of the receiver (rails). I have had some times where it hasnt jammed on these shells in the field. A few days ago I did a good cleaning/lube. on the bolt itself I made sure to lube the parts that have wear on them (the bottom corners and where they slide inside the received) I use nitrile glove and rub a light coat of CLP on then whipe it off only leaving a light coat. I fired two rounds that day without any problems.....CLP doesnt freeze does it and tucker should I put a few drops of clp on the ejector slide?
  2. I have been having intermittant problems with my SBII in the field. Seems to be Federal Wing Shok 1500fps 2 3/4" #5 shot. ONLY the first shot on occasion seems to stovepipe or fail to eject. I have cleaned and lubed the entire gun and recoil tube. The gun seems to like a diecent amount of lube. Do you guys lube your ejector slide inside the barell?
  3. I've used a Full Crio Choke on my last deer hunt with success. Is there any other chokes that perform good at long distances with 00 buck?

    SBII Sling

I have a butler creek comfort stretch shotgun sling that I used with uncle mikes 1" swivels. Sometimes the swivel rubs against barell and makes marks how can I stop this? Also what other slings are available for this gun anything like a three point sling where I can basically not have to hold the weight of the weapon but still have it ready for use in the field while hunting?
  5. The bolt rails may have been a little dry from taking it on several hunts and not cleaning it. I put a drop of CLP on eat bolt rail inside the receiver and let it drip down then worked the action back and forth a few times. I fired 9 shots on the field today without any jams!
  6. This is annoying when people make ads without pictures.
  7. The gun has at least 1k rounds through many of which is high brass. I did have issues before with it jammin on the first round even with high brass. I have cleaned and lubricated the recoil tube. These two times it jammed I questioned if I shouldered it tight enough so I waited 30 or 60 mins in the field and fired another round making sure it was tight. It fired fine. Im not going to spend $200 or whatever on a surecycle system when you drop 1400 on a shotgun you shouldnt have to do anything! I probably was just anxious to shoot the pheasant and wasnt tight against shoulder.
  8. I had two jams in the field with my SBII. I was using Federal wing shok 1500fps #5 birdshot. 1 1/4oz shot 4 dram. I beleive at the time I wasnt shouldering the weapon tight enough. One of the rounds stovepiped, the other was still inside the reveiver but the bolt was almost all the way open. I had to pull back on the handle and reach in and remove. My question is if your not shouldering it properly and it jams is that what you would typically see?
  9. +1 also make sure you put a few drops of clp in the recoil tube (inside of stuck) I just use a screwdriver or something and press it down, drop the clp in and work it up and down. I had issues with my first round stovepiping but after I completely broke the gun down and cleaned it, it was fine.
  10. You can put a pistol grip on a SBII...M4 comes with it though. Cylinder choke for home defense.
  11. Why would you even bother telling them what DRAM shells your using? What shells are you using
  12. Dude you shouldnt be "thrusting" anything with this, its for weapons!
  13. depends on how many home intrusions im subject to hahaha
  14. I use CLP on all my guns ever since I tried it. It cleans great lubes great and protects great! I use it on my SBII with no problems. The manual suggests using a high quality synthetic oil. Funny because the gun comes with some kind of "benelli oil" but yet you cant buy it anywhere. What are you guys using and why is CLP not recommended by benelli?
  15. Ill tell you what, I thought it was the load also. I removed trigger troup and cleaned/lubed as well as heating up the screw on the end of the recoil tube and removed the spring and plunger, I then used a 20gauge soft brush to clean out the tube. 6 drops of clp and reassembled. I also made sure to put 1 or 2 drops of CLP inside where the bolt rides and lubed the bolt face that rotates and rails. I went pheasant hunting saturday and today with a total of 6 rounds fired with the same federal ammo with no problem. Beleive me I was close to sending the gun back, I think it just needed the things that I did.
  16. This is an SBII if the cap stud is on top of the magazine cap if thats the correct word lol.

    M4 chokes?

My thoughts are they are making it versatile so it could be used for a field gun. Its better that you have the availability to use different chokes if you wanted to. Why do you care? If you wanna use cylinder, use cylinder.

    SBE2/M2

guys complaining about 3.5's with SBII must be tiny dudes =)
  19. Are you seeing a dimple in the primers? Maybe you need new springs?
  20. I bought a butler creek comfort stretch shotgun sling that didnt come with swivels. I have uncle mikes swivels that I put on it. The top part still has a loop and the bottom part I cut it off to attach swivel. Not sure if you guys are familiar with this type of sling but I think these loops can be placed around the barell so you dont need slings. Long story short it looks like the swivel is sometimes rubbing against the barell what should I do?
