I did one of the same thing when I was shooting skeet. I when from shooting my O/U to my Nova and couldn't figure out why I kept missing the second target. DA, pump the action.

For skeet, sporting clays, and upland game, Light modifed would be great for an all around choke. I'm not sure about waterfowl, but I would do some patterning first before you try.

Where did you read 1000 rounds? He shoots skeet with me. 100 rounds every week. In bought the gun the day it came out. The Spr I have is a russia made O/U (imported my Remington). Its cheaper than the mossberg. Really. My point is, she will shoot it for a few years and upgrade like almost everyone else. I started on a Charles daly ( 190.00 bucks) and upgraded to the nova a year later.

Huh, My friend has one with thousands of rounds through it from skeet shooting. I have a Remington spr-310 O/U (regular shooting gun.) and I put about 100 rounds a week through it. Have for 3 years now.

For skeet, I would get a O/U. 20 gauge in fine. I've heard good thing about the mossberg.

I've had not problems with winchester at all.

I have 2 novas and a supernova. My first nova has about 8000 rounds through it with zero problems. I don't have many rounds through my others but they also have no problems. Your mossberg has a shorter action than your nova which is why you (most likely than) be able to pump it faster.

Now with a show of hands, how many people have shot someone in there home with a m2 or m4? WOW. Zero. p.s. with a show of hands, how many m4's are in service in the military compared to mossberg 500's. Yes, the m4 will win.

Indoor ranges kind of suck anyway. Find a good sportmans club.

I just don't know about the "newer" 870's. They feel like toys compared to Novas and the ''older'' 870's. I know lots of people have them and they don't have any internal trouble. But when I bought my first nova, I looked at the super mag. Just didn't feel right to me. It was the same price at the nova and mine came with 3 chokes instead of 1. I don't know, its all what you like.

An m4 won't cycle that. Thats the stuff the m2's I saw cycled all day.

I don't like the 870 because it doesn't fit me well. I don't like the top safety and a don't like how the rib connects to my eye. But i've heard nothing bad about how it cycles. Parts are a big plus but I don't thing my Nova's are going to break any time soon.

Why do people make fun of people that have different taste in guns and how to use them? Why do people care if someone bought an m2 instead of a m4?
