The monty is a great gun for the money. That sounds like a good price. My gun shop has them for $1075.00 right now. My cousin as a Monty and it cycles 1 oz loads all day long. There is something different between the Monty and the m2 but I can't figure it out. They just feel different with the sight plane. I like the Monty better than the M2 but the M2 as the tougher finish. hope this helps Novaking

The supermags are junk. They don't cycle 2 3/4 shells very well unless there hotter. From what I hear, the 3 inch 1187 will cycle better.

You would have better luck trading barrels. Your barrel would go for 250-300 bucks. A field barrel would be about 325 Good luck

the 11-87 supermag is junk, The benelli is not. the 11-87 supermag is gas, the benelli is not. the 11-87 supermag is easy to find parts for, the benelli is not. the 11-87 supermag shoots 3 1/2, those to benelli's do not.

Cycle the action back and forth about 200 times. If it still continues or gets worse, stop and disassemble and try again. Come to think of it, you might want to disassemble it first to make sure assembled correct. I have 2 novas and and Supernova and none of them have had that problem. I hope a little breakin does the trick.

There has been a sighting of a wolf at the top of Illinois. Its a little crazy to me.

I have before for dove season. The state park puts on a dove hunt but you have to use steel. It was about the same as lead. 1 oz loads.
