gander mountain does the whole gun for 220. I don't know what just the barrel would be. Deer do care what your barrel looks like don't they?
-
I have a 24 inch barrel on my "pistol grip" supernova. Looks and shoots good.
-
Benelli was a motorcycle company before they started making shotguns. Pretty cool. Just like GM used to make guns to. Maybe they should start again. Oh wait. Obama owns GM.
-
Yep. The more weight in the gun or behind the gun the better. You also want to lean forward a bit to also help with the recoil which helps with followup shots
-
Welcome First, you got a great deal. For home defense a 24 inch barrel maybe a bit to long but for skeet/sporting clays it would be great. As far as adding stuff to it, its your gun. Do with what you want. Congrats on your purchase.

I would like to call the nova a machine. But machines break. The nova doesn't. I've left my nova for 4 days wet. Zero rust. My nova's will eat anything I give it with no problems. As for the reoil pad. It's just bad azz.
-
hmm. 30 bucks for a limbsavers pad. 125 buck difference between the nova and supernova. I have both and I think the nova is a better gun. I know there almost the same , but something about the orginal nova's that are better. As far as the recoil reducer. I had one and sold it. You can put a few rolls of pennys in the butt stock and it does the same thing. Add weight.

Shorts and a t-shirt. It's 29 here. Looks like a bunch of fun. Happy thanksgiving

I have them on all of my novas and love them.

First time for everything:cool:

If you buy a new gun then you have two guns. One for HD and deer hunting and one for clays, bird hunting, whatever. Or send it to me, I'll pay the shipping.
-
Thats why I have one on my O/U. It doesn't fit me and this helps me keep my head down.
-
I have one of those ez hit optics on my O/U. Its a great sight.
-
They are different chokes. You can use IC chokes for slugs though.
-
Its not true until we see pictures.

For rabbits and pheasants I use Federal Max dram,1 1/4, 5 shot 2 3/4 inch shells. For dove size game I shoot 1 1/8 6 shot. For turkeys I shoot Hevi-shot 3 1/2 #5's For Coyotes I use 3 or 3 1/2 T-shot For Skeet or clay bird shooting I use 1oz 7 1/2, 8's, or 9's Congrats on your new gun.
-
Do you keep anything?
-
Saying there is no use for 3 1/2 is saying there is no use for 3's. 2 3/4 inch shells killed everything before both came along. My friend shoot everything he hunts with a 20 gauge. He says there is no reason for a 12 gauge.

Price to cut down a barrel. http://www.briley.com/2009/shotgungunsmithingpricing.html Doesn't include shipping

When you press the trigger, The elevator will go down under recoil. You only have to slide the action back 1/4 inch for the elevator to move.
-
If you don't want to spend 100 bucks on a choke, try going with the jellyhead choke. Indian creek chokes are great but there are good chokes out there for less. Other chokes: carlson briley comp-n-choke all will get the job done.

Having over 2 pages worth of posts on this thread alone and not what the **** your talking about makes you look like an idiot. I believe I retracted my statement early in the Thread. I'm sorry for starting the thread, but I retracted my statement. There is something wrong with the man.

I'm selling a few reloading tools I don't use anymore. 1. This is a RCBS Power trim mate. It has been used for about 400 brass. As you can see, it also comes with the small primer pocket uniformer. $60.00 + shipping ( looks like medium flat rate box) $11.00 2. This is a Lyman case trimmer. This as seen less use that the trim mate. $30.00 + shipping (also looks like medium rate box) $11.00 I will sell both together for $75.00 +shipping. Will combine in large flat rate box. $14.00. Money order or check is fine. (will not send until check clears) Thanks, Novaking
