  1. Here in Illinois shotgun (and bow) deer hunting is the most common way to take deer. Out of thoughs shotgun hunters I bet less than 10% use a rifled barrel. Do you even have a 150 yard shot? Most hunters around here average 50-80 yards. A good slug/choke combo is the cheapest and for short ranges the best.
  2. There is differences between the two. The Supernova: 1. adjustable shimsfor pitch and cast 2. comforttect stock 3. bigger trigger guard 4. two piece receiver The nova doesn't have these things. The comfortect system doesn't make a difference for me and the bigger trigger guard doesn't ether.
  3. I have 2 novas (one 12 one 20 gauge). I also have a Supernova. Love all three. It really is a ''do all gun''. The only reason I have three because I wanted a 20 for doves and my Supernova is set up for turkeys and yotes. Can I do everything with 1. Yes. Good luck with your choice. I would buy the Nova or supernova over the 870 or 535.
  4. There hard to find. None of the gun sites have them. Good luck.
  5. Its a blue highlighter.
  6. unless you forgot to screw it on.
  7. See 50%. I thought I saw you working at Cabelas.
  8. Even still, I don't think I would buy if I shot 15 turkeys every year. I could buy a bunch of guns for that. But hey, if its your favor, Sweet!.
  9. I have a Modified choke you can have. PM me with your address and its yours. I think the old SBE's use the Beretta/Benelli mobil chokes. If it does....
  10. i don't know what its worth but remember cabelas won't give you more than 50%.
  11. I can pop a Tom at 50+ yards with my stock Nova. I thought the new SBE II was pretty cool til I saw the price tag. 2729.00 MSRP. The MSRP for a camo SBEII is 1759.00 Thats almost 1000.00 bucks more!! And what do you get? Steadygrip- Once a year there is a rebate for these= free barrel porting- Briley says 95.00 bucks+shipping= 120.00 extended turkey choke- most high priced choke= 100.00 burris fastfire- =200.00 = 320.00 and thats pushin it. Even if you add in the steadygrip. 150.00 bucks. Still half what there selling it for. I'll pass.
  12. For hunting I use 1-4 power scopes. 95% of the time there on 1 power. The eye relief is better for fast shots and at 1 power I can shoot with both eyes open. The only expection is my yote gun which has a 4-12. Once again, 95% of the time is on 4-6 power. The best scopes I've looked through are fixed power scopes. For what your using it for, a 4 power scope would be great. Fixed power scopes are more clear due to they don't have as many lenses to look through. Just my favor. Novaking
  13. 1.My cousin has one that is pretty old. Looks new. 2. Yes, just wipe it down when your done hunting or shooting. 3. Both models use the Crio chokes now.
  14. I have both. Recoil= about the same Feel= almost the same Price= the super is about 100 buck more Is it worth it? I don't know. The shims are nice on the super but I don't have a POA problem with my Nova. The bigger trigger guard is nice but I've never had a problem getting my finger is the guard. The comb adjustment is cool but I don't use it. The one thing I do use on the super is the optional steadygrip because I use it for turkey hunting. So is worth it?
  15. If you need a Modified or full. PM me with your address and I'll send you one.
  16. I have a Nova and a Supernova and I can tell much differance between and comforttech and the standard stock.
  17. I like carlson's. They look and feel well built and they pattern great.
  18. The Cordoba's here are selling for 1495.00. The gun is ported which add money to the pot. Haven't seen or felt the Vinci yet. On gunbroker there going for 1295.00ish. Maybe cheaper to make.
  19. The "new" 870 express is a rust bucket. Thats what he is most likely talking about.
  20. Yep, same price. You have to buy a new gun. You will have better luck finding someone with a cracked stock and you can sell them yours.
