  1. Hornady TAP out of an M4 will have muzzle flash .
  2. The M80 was listed under PRODUCTS > Tactical Products > Picatinny Rail Forends earlier this year and up until I contacted SureFire regarding the issues which ailed it.
  3. General rule of thumb is to use the spring with the greatest amount of tension down to the last round. You may opt to go with a Sure Cycle stainless steel spring. Or you can purchase and use the full length factory spring as I have. Though of carbon steel and not stainless, the full length factory spring in a full length magazine tube has spring tension equivalent to that of standard length spring in standard length magazine tube for reliable cycling down to the last round. Another viable option - and one I would choose over the standard factory spring in a full length magazine tube - would be a Wolff 40-inch carbon steel magazine spring. Factory part numbers for the full and standard length magazine springs: Benelli M4 Magazine Spring (Standard): P/N 70053 (~28.5") Benelli M4 Magazine Spring (Full Length): P/N 70052 (~35.0") Brownells does not list the 70052 in their online catalog (as of 2008-05-30). You must contact them directly to place the order.

  5. Or Mann & Son Sporting Goods @ 618-357-2911 (CDT).
  6. It does appear that the M80 has been pulled from their website catalog. Depending on how you look at it, this may be a good thing (prospective buyers can look forwards to a product with outstanding issues addressed), or bad (current owners may have a defective product installed).
  7. The full length spring is longer, which in a full length magazine tube equates to spring tension equivalent to that of a standard length spring in standard length magazine tube. Part numbers (P/N) as follows: Benelli M4 Magazine Spring (Standard): P/N 70053 Benelli M4 Magazine Spring (Full Length): P/N 70052
  8. Brownells @ 800-741-0015 (CDT) is always a good place to start.

  10. See M4 Spare Parts List & Manuals.
  11. Be sure to ask for all of the choke tubes and the choke wrench. Download the online manual and read it. Then read it again. Or download and review the simplied version from M4 Spare Parts List & Manuals. Download the M4 Spare Parts List package from the link above. Review it. Then review it again. Download the M4 Operator's Manual - United States Marine Corps. Read it. Then read it again. Disassemble the firearm upon inspection, looking for tell-tale signs of use and wear along the barrel-breach, bolt and receiver rails and the bolt head. Examine the bore with a reflector, or flashlight. Account for all of the seven major assembly groups of the M4. Assemble the firearm and perform a function check. Cycle a few snap caps, or dummy rounds through the magazine > shell carrier > chamber > extraction.
  12. So an extra $100.00 for a bandolier over your previous price: Benelli pre-ban M1 super 90 tactical: good deal? ?
  13. LarryK 1000W Black Hawk Locator Image Notes 1. Minimal unsharp masking (T=75) applied to offset image resizing blur. 2. Brightness levels increased in order to reveal over and underexposed details. 3. PNG was used as a compromise between maximum artifact and file size reduction.
  14. Offhand, not much you can do short of ensuring that bared metal is properly treated with a corrosion inhibitor such as CorrosionX, or CorrosionX HD. If your firearm is operated in a more temperate, dry environment, simply keep the exposed areas lightly lubricated with a non-chlorinated lubricant of your choosing. Else, you can opt to touch up areas of concern with a Birchwood Casey touch-up pen.
  15. Any authorized Benelli dealer can order one for you. Make sure you specify the full length spring as the part number is different than the standard 11707 spring. You should be fine with both, you will be fine with the factory full length spring. Different part numbers and different lengths are offered for a reason.
  16. Correct. But you will want to examine and verify that the choke tube you choose does not protrude past the barrel choke entry. The barrel choke entry is the recessed area inside the barrel opposite the choke threads. If your choke tube protrudes past the choke entry into the barrel, you will wind up with myriad of concerns.
  17. A skeletonized with an adjustable cast and cheek pad would be nice .

  19. I would consider that a good deal if the transfer fee is included as part of the shipping cost. Otherwise, it is a fair deal.

  21. Additional forum quirks: 1. The standard forum template resolves hyperlinks in gray. This can be difficult to see, particularly for the sight impaired, or the color blind. Hyperlinks should be resolved in a more accessible color, such as the web standard blue, or purple. Although user CSS can be employed, accessibilty starts on the server side. 2. Forum filters are too aggressive, rendering useful words such as m o b i l e and t r i p o d into ****** and tr****, respectively. Create a whitelist of such terms to improve the user experience. 3. Minimum word length for searches should be increased to five characters as a number of acronyms and search terms are four characters in length. A four character minimum word length is particularly limiting and should only be employed if the search function is resulting in excessive load on the back end.
  22. A pre-ban M1S90 typically has a full length magazine tube. The AWB as it related to the MS190 was primarily directed towards reducing fixed magazine capacity in order to prevent pistol gripped variants from being defined as assault weapons.
  23. You will want to look at the Benelli specific chokes. Which choke, or chokes to choose is entirely up to you, your decision should be based upon factory choke pattern satisfaction and intended usages of the firearm. There is no need to tap into your M4 receiver in order to accomodate the SureShell as the sidesaddle utilizes that taps of the factory accessory mounting rail. If you are comfortable with the tension of the factory five round magazine spring and have not experienced cycling issues related to the spring itself, then no. I tend to err on the side of caution and have followed the way of caution with a factory full length spring. MidwayUSA should be stocking them shortly.

  25. My pre-ban M1S90 has no such magazine extension, but a factory full length tube .
