  1. Well, I finally am ordering one monday. I hope it doesn't take half a year to get here like my AR-15 did. I am also ordering the 7-shot mag tube from E-guns as well. I really wish I had a way of getting my Q5 CREE upgraded Surefire P6 on there, but from what I see, it is a $200 rail or nothing
  2. I presume they are now using the 2-port barrels again then? Sounds like you got a great weapon! (I have had lots very high-end stuff take a dump on me before, sorry for my paranoia.)
  3. I have a few M3 questions for ya. Is the trigger guard plastic or metal? Is the barrel/bolt-head chrome-lined? Does the fire-end "rattle" like the Nova, or is it SOLID? Fixed choke, right? IC? (Does this mean there is no choke and no threads, just a barrel contoured to IC dimensions and chrome-lined? Do you have the rifle or pistol-grip stock? Sorry for sidetracking, but I have been thinking about the M4 and overlooked the M3, which I think may be a viable alternative as I would enjoy being able to fire low recoil buckshot and whatnot. http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=23213&title=SHOTGUN%20MAGAZINE%20TUBE%20EXTENSION%20KIT Part Number 100-003-176 2-shot extension kit. ^redemption for my sidetracking
  4. Just looking for some parts on Brownells (Aluminum mag follower) and found that the M4 has "Gas plug O-rings". I thought Benelli got rid of all the O-rings and other items? Apparently not. Should I get some spare O-rings for the gas-plugs? How hard are they to replace? How many are on each gas-plug? Also, where does this "gas plug" O-ring go? Does it just seal the gas-plug on, or is it part of a reciprocating assy. (the piston)? Any pix clarifying this would be GREAT! Any other O-rings or other items in the M4 that I should stock as replacement parts? Did a search on here and found that the 4-port barrels were causing lots of issues. On the newer M4's (one I would order now), the 2-port system is fine and all the old ones are out of the pipeline, right? What is the current status of this issue? Are 2-port barrels in production again? (all the posts I found were circa '05) Will they feed the cheap birdshot okay? Did Benelli change port-size to allow this? Educate me. ETA: Is there a common hardware store stocked O-ring that could be substituted in a pinch for the Benelli ones? If so, does anyone know it's size?
  5. Awesome. I was shooting 3/4oz 20ga at 1600fps. How will 1oz at 1700fps feel comparatively from the heavier M4? About like the difference I found today in 20ga from going from 1/2oz At 1800 to 3/4oz at 1600, or will it be greater? I did not find the 3/4 at 1600 to be troublesome at all. I assume since you never missed a pin (and those are 3-4" wide IIRC or so) then 5" groups at 25 yards should be cake. What choke were you using? Would MOD be okay?
  6. Just shot some Remington "SLUGGER" slugs (foster style) from my 20ga IMP fixed cylinder Win 1500 At 15 yards a 5-shot group was 4-6" (didn't measure). It was high 6-8" and left 3-4". With the M4's adjustable sights, can I expect the same kind of performance (maybe better as all the winchester had was a bead) only centered? At 25 yards what kind of groups should I get with just cheap Remington slugs? Will it cycle the 1oz@16-1700fps slugs?
  7. Resolution?
  8. That's not good. All I could find were 3/4 and 1oz slugs in 12ga. at Bass Pro. Does this mean that it will not function with normal slugs, or is the increased velocity (1500+fps) enough to make up for the lesser weight? Basically, from what you are saying, the ARGO gas-system is pretty finicky?
  9. I know that the Benelli Inertia system requires the use of decently stiff loads (no reduced recoil). How is the ARGO on the M4? Can I fire WIN Ranger reduced recoil Buckshot 8-pellet loads? How about the Wal-mart cheap-stuff in #7 shot just for pests/fun? Will the ARGO cycle these lower recoil loads?
  10. Will try the factory tube first. M4's come with 3 tubes (F/M/I) right? What should a 50-yard 00 buck pattern look like from an M choked M4? Is a 24x24 target likely to contain all the shot or not? Also, how accurate are the Wal-mart remington Foster style slugs from an M4? 10" at 100 yards possible?
  11. What tube does it use? Regular M2 choke-tubes, or the older-style pre-Cryo tubes? Would a Terror .700 tube be good for 00 Buck? I am searching for something that will give me a usable 00 pattern at 50 yards on something like a coyote size target. I am aware of the Flite Control, but I want something that will tighten up the cheap stuff for practice/informal situations. I also like the exposed, gnarled area on the Terror tubes from SRM as they would allow me to change them easily without a wrench. Do the SRM Terror tubes have a good reputation for fit/finish/not coming loose from shooting, ect? Would someone recommend a different choke (or constriction) for best achieving my goals? Thankyou!
  12. It is a non-lethal compliance tool. In layman's terms, you can poke the SOB into someone's chest and they will be more inclined to do what you tell them. Worse comes to worse, the holes will bleed off most of the gasses if you end up pulling the trigger in such a situation. A lot of muzzle-devices are compliance tools, esp. with the AR-15 series weapons.
  13. How often should this spring be replaced?

    Wad Wizard?

Would I notice much of a difference between the Wad Wizard choke tube and a regular Benelli Mod. tube when shooting buckshot? Will the Wad Wizard fit in an M4? I want OO to pattern tight enough to be "useful" out to 50 yards or so. Recommendations?
  15. IMHO it is an investment. One I will not be making though.
  16. Was this issue ever resolved to the 2 posters with issues?
  17. If he lives in a place like I used to live in there isn't a problem in the world with it unless we are talking 90* angles here
  18. Remove with wrench, clean, CLP, finger-tight, snug down a tad with the wrench (like you would an oil-filter on a car), and done. Gotcha : ) How hard is it to remove the stock mag tube? I have read of several methods, which do you recommend?
  19. Sounds good, I have just 2 more questions that I can think of right now. Both rather noob, sorry. The M4 I can get will have a removable choke tube. All of my shotguns now are fixed (older Wingmaster and Winchester 1500). I have heard that choke-tubes can get stuck/frozen up, and on the flip side that they back out often and must be checked every 10-20 rounds. What is the truth here? My method is going to be to apply CLP to the threads and then crank it down with the wrench tightly (not rediculous, but not finger-tight either. What is a good tightness? Like I would tighten an oil filter-finger tight+1/4 turn--or like I would tighten an oil-pan bolt---or what?) Also...how much should I pay for this M4? I see them online for $15xx+FFL fee. I would like to buy local though, would $1600 (MSRP) INCLUDING tax be a fair deal for me as well as my dealer, or is that not workable due to Benelli's profit margins?
  20. Could CLP/Gun Scrubber be blasted into the recoil-spring tube? Or is it completely sealed off? Can these "snap-ring pliars" be procured at Home Depot?
  21. Is the M1014 a 6 or 7-shot equipped weapon? I want as close to the M1014 as I can get without forking over $$$ for the telescping stock. Also, is the recoil spring assy stainless? Is it designed in such a way that gun-scrubber and spray-CLP can be used to clean and maintain it without removing it from the weapon? A pic of the snapring would be great, or will that be covered in the manual the weapon comes with? I assume I just buy the full-length spring from Numrich and it should feed reliably? I would also like to add a metal follower, or is that necessary? What does the M1014 come with? Does the Numrich 7-shot tube look identical to the pictures I have seen of the M1014 in action across the pond? Basically I want to avoid the tube passing the muzzle or anything.
  22. What are my options for a full-length tube. All I know of is the one I posted and the one that the guy on this forum is selling. How does the recoil spring remove, just out of curiosity? Up through the reciever after the bolt/linkage are out? Is the trigger-group metal or polymer like the regular M2?
  23. I am planning to buy an M4, but have a few questions before I do. How does one clean the recoil spring in the stock? How does the stock remove? (the reason I ask is I fondled an M4 the other day and saw only 2 SMALL holes in the rear of the stock and have heard of nightmares removing the recoil tube assy. I assume that the spring is easto remove? Please explain? I want to be able to clean the thing top-to-bottom. Is this easy, or do you have to remove this recoil tube assy to replace/clean the recoil spring? How many rounds is good to replace the spring by? With handguns it seems to be 3-5K depending on caliber, is a Benelli the same way? Another item: The Numrich 6 round magazine from e-gunparts. I also wish to purchase this. How hard is it to install? I assume that a heat-gun is required and some elbow grease. Is this an in-stock item? I see posts saying it was out of stock and never coming back in '06 or something, but then I see VERY recent posts from people who "just bought one". Then again, we have a guy on here selling the same thing for $200. I am confused, is something amiss here? Any other questions I should be asking that I am not? Also, what choke tube(s) come with the Benelli M4? Is the REAL M4 a fixed or interchangeable system like the commercial version? Does it take regular Benelli tubes or are the specific to the M4?
