  1. I got a letter in the mail stating 45 days. However, service told me 2 weeks or so. In reality, it was 14 days door-to-door counting shipping and weekends. Benelli had my barrel in-hand on a Monday and shipped the replacement on a thursday or friday of that same week IIRC. They are excellent!
  2. It sounds to me like extractor tension or geometry is out of spec. I was reticent to offer a solution though because we already have one forum member that has been chasing a problem himself for 3 years instead of sending the shotgun in to Benelli.
  3. Gun's fault. Send it in.
  4. I have had this problem as well on here. E-mailing sometimes doesn't work. Anyways, rest easy knowing that Cody6.0's M2 is in flawless condition. It took an act of God for him to even consider installing a mag-tube on his M4.
  5. I bought a Wilson Combat Tactical Supergrade that gave me nothing but trouble. In the end, Wilson refunded. It was a beautiful pistol though. That being said, I have some grips I bought for it that I have no need for. They are identical to the Black G10 starburst grips offered by wilson. Full-size, beveled bases, take-down pin cut-out and mag-release thumb relief. Just like OEM. Made by Larry Davidson who makes them for wilson. I got them b/c I don't like logos, these have no logo. Also, no ambi safety cut. Let me know if you are interested.
  6. I have no clue why, but it works.
  7. If you only DEMAND that 5-6 rounds be available, then I see no problem leaving it loaded. With Kip's new spring I can load 7 Remignton slugs in the tube though, also took 7 rounds of Federal Flitecontrol (which tend to be kinda long). Our of morbid curiosity, has that M4 ever been fired to resolve an issue? *As you may have guessed, I scrapped my awesome AR build in favor of a nice 1911, which when it didn't run, I returned it and came back to the Benelli camp and show no signs of leaving again!
  8. True enough, unless there is a logo involved

Nono, you have it all wrong. The liberals have gotten to you. It's: ...and a case of Hexolit 32 shells to maintain that peace and good will.
  10. How have you been? The scientific answer is that cycling the spring causes it to weaken, not leaving it compressed. However, I have seen tests that suggest otherwise. Kip's spring is made with better materials than factory springs though, and it will not take a set nearly as fast as the OEM spring will. I don't think there is a hard and fast answer here. The best thing I can say is that I would probably treat it like you do your Glock or whatever your side-arm is. If you feel comfortable leaving that loaded, then do so. If not, then don't. In a worst-case scenario I think that you would only be cheated out of the last round. Is this good? No. But at least you know that it will go bang a good many times, as you already know, with a shotgun if you aren't shooting it, you are loading it. BTW, Kip has revised the design of the spring in the last couple of months and if yours is giving you grief over getting 7 rounds in, the new one won't. He kept the wire the same and the length the same but removed a few coils. SLIGHTLY less tension, but in my testing it has been flawless.

I looked at how the slug is made as well as talked with the company reps via e-mail. I am confident that this slug is safe.

Yes, I have shot a vehicle door with a foster slug. It did okay, but I felt that it could have done better. Lots of foster slugs fragment in plain water jugs, especially the hollowpoints (The first time I shot water jugs with a slug it penetrated 2 and small fragments nicked the 3rd. Disentegrated). Fosters tend to flatten and donut and come apart when they encounter things. Here is a picture of some foster style (hollowpoint) slugs taken from deer by a meat processor on another forum: This is what many fosters I have shot into water jugs or trees looked like. My point is yes, it will go through the door, and yes it will probably still be nasty, but a solid steel slug will be nastier, and better is well...better.
  13. Last I heard the Bolt Charging Handle, the Rail, and the Brakes will come out in January 2010. This is not a confirmation, but a supposed ETA.
  14. Oddly, the adjustment for this shotgun is very fine. You would probably not be able to adjust it on target the way you are shooting. It is a 5MOA weapon with 1/2 MOA weapon sights, lol.

Traditional foster slugs are soft, deform easily, and do poorly against hog's gristle plates and hard barriers like car doors, etc compared to what I think this solid steel will do.

Monolit 28 – 450 m/s (1480 fps) Monolit 32 – 430 m/s (1410 fps) Hexolit 32 - 430 m/s (1410 fps) Dupo28 – 425 m/s (1400 fps) Barrel length: 70 cm Should be a pretty soft-shooting slug! Made of steel, the diameter will not change/mushroom (regarding the monolits), so I figure if a Foster slug gives 15-18" penetration in gel expanding out to 1" or larger, these ought to at LEAST match it. That large, flat meplat will be nasty!
  17. Are you aiming it correctly? You do NOT! line up the dots. You put the tip of the post in the center of the halo and the target is bisected by the tip of the post and this is the POI, just like with an AR type rifle. Disregard the dots completely. It sounds like you are lining up the dots to me. My bet is that no-matter how much you tweaked on it it still shot high if this is what was happening.
  18. I don't share your condition, but the FBC's seem to be a lot less harsh, especially to my sense of smell. Try it and see. They work very well.
  19. How are you guys lubing the weapon? The rails the carrier rides on should be well-lubed. I lube my Benelli M4 like I do my ARs. The best, slickest lube I have found, hands down is LaRue's MG Lube. CLP will work well though in its stead.
  20. Eh, I dunno, did not read the part that the mag-spring didn't fix it. I guess you should have called Benelli when it was new instead of waiting 3 years to decide you didn't like it malfunctioning. Sounds like if the new elevator and spring don't work, this may be a real pain to track down.
  21. Mag spring. Inertia works to help cycle the gun just as well as it works to keep the shells from coming out of the magazine.
  22. If you run the field stock, you can add a mag-tube without even a technical bobble over 922r. Tom Knapp has never had a problem with his...

I can't help myself, I am going to buy some of the solid Monolit 32g slugs. I just have a feeling they might be totally wicked and totally taken off the market by liberals as soon as they become more "known" and they find out about them.
  25. Buy one. They are cheap and have many uses!
