I removed mine by using a small punch (I think the poster above me has the correct size) and pounding gently until the pin cleared the extractor. The punch bent. It seems that this was necessary. Why are you removing the extractor? Also, be VERY careful with this, you don't want to ding up the end of the roll-pin or things will suck.

I heard of some guy putting his reciever/tube in the oven, but that's not very good. Just spend the $15 and get a heatgun. You don't need an IR thermometer if you use common sense.
-
Opinions differ, but I don't think semi-auto shotguns jam NEARLY as much as you opine as long as they are cleaned properly (not white-glove, that isn't necessary, just a sensible cleaning), and run with good ammunition. Training with ANY weapon is necessary.

I don't understand why it would matter because the compressed spring coils are longer than the follower anyways. The follower is not going to limit capacity provided the spring is seated at the same "depth" in it.

Sounds like normal pricing on the 20's to me. As to the 30's, buy PMAG's for cheaper, they work better. NHMTG makes Colt's mags, just buy NHMTG unless the logo matters to you.

Ironically, where I live there was a huge debate a while back about the Confederate flag being flown outside one of the legal buildings down town. I think it was in front of the court house, but don't recall. My GF at the time worked at city hall and told me about it. What happened was that certain people felt that the Confederate flag was a "white power" or "hate" symbol, and wanted it taken down. Didn't want it displayed in front of whatever public building it was. So, complaints were filed. Anyways, what it boiled down to was this: The Daughters of the Confederacy own the small plot of land upon which that flag is erected. It is privately owned, despite its location. The flag stayed.

KAC is another option I think. Get out your wallet though...I priced their T1 mount a while back. $200+

Well it looks like you can't spell worth a damn either. At least I didn't wrongly spell a word that is on my computer screen right in front of my face. What do we take this to mean? I am an idiot because I did not spell "delegable" correctly, yet you have "Benelli" on the screen (jeez, it's in the name of the very forum you are posting on!) and you can't even copy it? I know first graders who can copy a word down correctly.
-
Apparently they also lead to a good bit of developmental regression. Once again, bedpan emptying is a very delegatable task

The world is exactly as it seems, imho. Follow the money, and you find the prize (or prize hog)--every time. As far as the news goes, the only news I usually see is something someone links. Like you noted, all of the big networks just put up what we are supposed to see.
-
That wrongly placed sense of entitlement is the last gasp of someone trying to feel valuable to a society that has retired them.
-
Politically, yes, but you know I was referring to the draft. Bookmarked, will read when I have more time to focus solely on that.
-
I LOL'ed. A retiree calling someone who is entering one of the most in-demand professions in the country a zero. Sorry, but you aren't going to get me to go all apeshit like you did earlier, Bighat. They teach us self-control where I'm from.
-
Do you think this 'Nam? You keep referring to this like there was some sort of draft. 'Nam is over, BIGHAT. People like me who wanted an education after highschool got it. People who wanted to go to Iraq got that. Get over it. Also, the highschool insults...really? 26 years in the USMC and "fag internet Rambo" is all you have? That lack of creativity alone makes me question your story, lol. My former roommate only spent 4 years in and I heard a lot better out of him.
-
It's called delegation
-
*sigh* Just because you were a marine does not make you a badass. Get over it. It doesn't mean you can out-shoot or out-fight or out-anything any civilian. I can and will say I have been there, done that, with my former roommate that was honorably discharged from the USMC. The only thing it means is that for 4 years (or 26) you were a government employee. You should be proud of it, well and good, but thumping your chest over it just looks dumb and those of us who know better laugh. Well and good, and I might do that. However, I don't see where saying BIGHAT worked for a group determined to spread communism makes this any better. Had the contract stated that the flag-pole was unacceptable, I would agree, but the flag-pole is not the issue, and I cannot see a MOH awardee flying the flag unacceptably. THe issue is the aesthetics of the flag, which I do not understand how fault can be found with. It implies that other residents fly non-American flags and it works out fine. What flag SHOULD he fly according to them, if the American flag is not aesthetically pleasing?
-
Regardless of what you think war is about, the man took an oath to support the right of his fellow Americans to state their beliefs freely. If we follow the train of thought you started, one could then state that BIGHAT worked for 26 years to destroy the American Dream in favor of communism, or at least FOR those whose dream this was. Again, that is not my view, but it is what your train of logic suggests.
-
Hrmmm...I wonder...what if I were to hold the same views of you? You know you are going to rely on people like me one day to take care of you. Give you your medication, etc. etc. It's a very good thing I can get over myself isn't it? What irony. I hope one day you are a patient in my hospital. I will use that as a time of personal growth for myself.
-
That is the first line of the Oath of Enlistment that you took in the USMC. That line references a document, the Constitution of the United States. It was YOUR duty to defend that document AND SUPPORT it. Outlined in that document is my right to express my opinion, with no descimination between the value of my right to do so, and that of a combat veteran. I suggest that you re-examine your beliefs about what I do and don't deserve to do. Perhapse that oath meant nothing to you. Did you make an Oath to the USMC, and your country in vain, or did you mean it? If you meant it, act like it, if not, then I would dare say you are more of a poser than anyone else you have called out. You have certainly behaved like one on this forum. *underline, bold, and italics added for emphasis

Combat veterans went to war for the SOLE REASON of preserving my right to participate in civil affairs. That's why they call it the SERVICE. Because you are SERVING your country, and being a citizen, I AM an integral part of your country. You don't even know the pretenses under which you served. *Me owning an M4 doesn't make me macho any more than your alleged service record makes you macho. It's a tool. Dependant solely upon its user. Much like your reputation is dependant solely on your conduct.

No. I'm not going to just walk away from this now that you understand how much of an idiot you made of yourself. You walked right out of nowhere and insulted me on page 3 with no provocation and this resulted in you coming off looking like a complete tool. I indeed have given a 100 lvl assessment of what is probably a 400 lvl problem, which is why I encouraged you to seek someone who can address it on a 400 lvl basis, considering that psychology is not the main focus of my program. No arguments there, my understanding of psychology and psychiatric illness/care is a bit past the 100 level, but not by a whole lot. As to your assessment of my intelligence, well, I have nothing for you. I don't care what you think of my level of intellect. It doesn't matter, and I will make my money and live my life just fine without validating it by presenting you with IQ scores and standardized testing and whatnot. That would be a true waste of time. My reference to the PS90 thread was because I figured you had a more deeply rooted issue with me than that one post on page 3, so I tried to figure out what it is. Since you mentioned Rambo and movies and junk, I figured you must have been thinking about a PS90, so my mind was drawn to that thread. Instead I think what it is is that my post got several kudos, and was patriotic. You know I have not served in the armed forces and you felt that me being complimented on a sense of patriotism while people disagreed with your opinion after your years of service wasn't right, so you tried to cut me down to size, as it were. I think THAT is the problem. Some kind of sense of entitlement that your service has given you. It's going to get you in trouble in the civilian world. Perhapse this thread would have turned out better if you had pondered the issue instead of instantly attacking me.
-
See, the funny thing is, I never made any "rambo" claims. You just got upset way back when we disagreed over terminal ballistics involving the PS90, the use of birdhshot, and other items of interest and I cited data that backed my position. You had nothing because there was nothing other than a list of agencies you posted in the PS90 thread. I posted the work of those who studied it in detail, not some bean-counter who OK'ed it for agency use. Another few questions I would pose to you: Do you feel that your conduct in this thread is befitting or in-line with the expected maturity level of a retired USMC Col? Do you feel that making false statements about what someone claims, baiting them into a debate online, and then looking like a fool in that debate has improved your image? You clearly had a fight to pick, you picked it, and you come off as a petulant child with a point to prove. Please re-visit my theory that you are struggling with some sort of developmental crisis and probably have been since your late teens/early 20's. Because I aspired to the medical profession instead of military/law enforcement my opinion doesn't count. I see. Once again, you validate yourself through what you did. Since you are retired, you are worthless, as you are not doing this valuable thing. That is the logic-string here. Maybe you AREN'T stuck at a stage, maybe you got bored after retiring, you are starting to feel unneeded, and you are regressing. Who knows. Many theories, but I do know that you have some sort of issue. Work on it. Me providing factual information to this forum does not make me macho. It makes me an information source. You picking fights with me over it, and calling me a poser when I never claimed anything, well, it makes you look like an uninformed idiot.
-
Please find a post of mine claiming military service, or any statement that I did anything of the sort. Point me to this "poser" claim.
-
You remind me of the washed up private my upstrairs neighbor dated. I still remember him beating on his chest (literally) and exclaiming (with regards to Iraq) "We were the LAW over there!" He based his entire worth on his short stint in the armed forces. Granted yours was a longer stint, which means that you are all the more impressed with yourself over it. In fact, you are a man in his 50's or somewhere near there, who is a has-been, and is currently arguing his worth with a 23 year old who has enough common sense to just be amused by it than to get all worked up. True, I do not have military experience, but I listen to those who learned something from theirs. Not some vietnam 'vet re-living his glory days on the Benelli forum. I would wager, based on your other posts that my knowledge regarding what is discussed here (terminal ballistics, Benelli M4's, PS90's, etc.) is in excess of yours. You seem to disregard people who know what they are talking about (Dr. Roberts, etc. etc.). This alone tells me that your ego out grew your capacity to "adapt and overcome" a long time ago. I question if you really are around 50+ years old. If I had to take a guess, either you are not the age your claimed service record indicates, or you have not developed as a person. Most likely I think that you have not developed as a person. Did you know that at the time someone forms an addiction, their development stops? I would wager that you took up some form of addiction in your late teens to early 20's. Could be anything from work to drugs to alcohol, but you definitely fit the profile for arrested development and that is a likely cause. Before you argue this, do you really think at your age baiting and then engauging me on an internet forum making wild suppositions about my sexuality and manhood is indicative of normal behavior for a retired USMC (whatever rank you were)? I would say it is more in line with being a bored college student, but hey, just a little honest "look in the mirror time" for you. I think you are stuck. I think AA or some other 12-step program could help.
-
Well, I would need a PS90 like you have to truly play soldier boy. Further, while you are attempting to hide behind the flag here, so to speak, it isn't going to work. I don't have to degrade the entire USMC to say that there are a few idiots in it who think military service is the only way one can serve their country. Few rotten eggs in each batch. Much like you admire the MOH winner's service, I applaud yours, but you are a person, not a service record, and the fact that you hide behind it is amusing. It helps me to understand that I am conversing with someone who feels that they have outlived their usefulness to society (presuming you are no-longer active duty). I am thankful I don't share your narrow-minded viewpoint of what makes this country great. I would further suggest that at your age, mixing it up with guys in their mid 20's on the internet serves the same purpose you think flying the Flag serves this 90 year old. Something to do during a late mid-life crisis to prove to yourself that you are still full of piss and vinegar or some such nonsense. Another logical question, if my assessement isn't worth a damn to you, then what makes you think yours is worth anything to me? We all know you like to whine about my posts and any chance you have you take a swing at them, so this is nothing new, and I am not suprised by it. However, I have nothing better to do right now than swing back at you *Keep in mind that I pay for the M4's that those guys use over there. Without the professional at home paying taxes, the combatant in the field withers and dies without supplies. Their fates are inexorably intertwined and to suggest that one is more important than the other is ignorance.
