Yeah you can use an extended choke on your SBE 2. Just make sure you buy the choke that is made for Benelli's. What are you gonna be using your shotgun for?

I'll trade you right now lol. This California weather is too damn hot, its almost the end of duck season by the time we finally get any storms down here. Jump shootin is tough, I've tried it a few times. Im big into standing in bush or sitting in ground blinds and calling ducks in and watchin them work. Do you guys shoot your limits up there alot or no?

Check out your chokes before you shoot them because the full choke might say "Lead Only". Be carefull, you dont want to ruin that brand new shotgun.

wow i wish we had that weather down here because although it might be terrible, I've noticed that if you stick it out in that kind of weather your gonna kill alot more birds. www.ducks.org If you go on the Ducks Unlimited website and you clock on the "hunting" tab at the top, it gives you some great tips on hunting ponds that are frozen over. If you can break some ice in the area and set a few floater decoys in the water and have some shell decoys on the ice your gonna have a lot more birds come in because that may be the only open water in that area. Duck hunting is addicting im just warning you haha

Yeah my buddy was lookin like an idiot too because he was practically drowning but he was holding his new Extrema 2 up in the air cause he didnt want to get it wet. My dad had to grab his ass by the waders and pull him up.

That sounds like one of my buddys stories where he fell into the pond sending my mojo duck to the bottom and filling his waders half full with water but he didnt want to go in and change because he didnt want to miss the early morning shoot:D He missed the mallards cause he couldnt feel his legs in order to stand up.

Haha yeah I know you mean, I duck hunt with 2 guys who shoot the Extrema 2 and they cant stop talking about that damn thing. Too bad they cant shoot anything with it

Both of these shotguns are great, there are thing I like about each one and there are also things I dont like. I would like to know what you guys think is the better of these two shotguns and why.

Thats good at least it was a simple thing to fix. Yeah same here im headed out at 3:30 AM, hopefully this storm is gonna be pushing them down.

Keep the bolt in the locked open position before taking off the barrel. Its much easier to attach and remove the barrel that way.

Yeah if the bolt is not all the way forward than all you'll get is a "click", every benelli will do that if its not completely engauged

Hey another thing, make sure the bolt is fully engauged or it wont fire.

Id take it into the shop because the only other think of is that the spring might be cracked or the the firing pin is just bad. Its not gonna be cheap if thats the problem. Have you ever shot a Franchi I-12?

Whats the spring around your firing pin look like?

That shouldnt be happening. The only problem I've had were shells not firing because they were wet. Have you took apart your bolt and looked at your firing pin? If its worn down (which it shouldnt be) your gonna need to have it replaced, if its not then make sure its inserted correctly. I've noticed Benelli's firing pins wearing down after about 7 years but yours should be fine
