I poke around on Mesa's forum now and again and it's my impression that they won't be addressing it anytime soon, if ever. in my experience, you have those that like it and this who don't with little in-between. After handling one I don't like it compared to the OEM. That said, the OEM grip will fit on the Mesa stock so that in itself kinda relegates it to moot. Most will be switching over from a PG already so they should have the OEM version and if not, you can order if from Brownells or Numrich. I'm not crazy about the urbino in general, mostly because they decided to go bolt-on instead of the way that the OEM stocks mount. I prefer the c-stock anyway.

Yep, doesn't look right. Mine has a similar count and looks like this.

Pulled mine apart tonight and here are two pics. First one is of the receiver and how it's positioned. Second is of the carrier latch and the "spring retainer cut out". At least this is how both my carrier latches are constructed.

Oh I had no worries that he would stand behind the product, he's a great guy. Hopefully it's just a heat treat issue that will get resolved quickly.

Has anyone with the hammer dings spoked to FFT yet?

Clay from Impact Guns called me today. My 11722 is shipping to my dealer tomorrow. They are in Utah so it should be here by Monday. Stoked is putting it mildly. On another note, he confirmed what I had thought regarding the new M4 configurations on the Benelli website. Seems that Benelli has decided there is a real market here for their M4 entry models so they are moving production from Beretta Defense to Benelli. He said that as of a week ago, these will no longer be so difficult to obtain. Just an FYI.

Hookster, go to the Benelli site and look at the new M4 offerings for 2012. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Right? I can't imagine why someone wouldn't pay $100 more and get the real McCoy. -

Wow! Only $300? Why hasn't someone snatched this up? If only I had an M4. :-/ -
Pretty sure mine is in the same place as above. IIRC, there was a small circular indent where the end of the spring is supposed to ride. Mine is 2010 production.

Help Needed Please - Super Sport vs SBE II with Comfort Tech Stock
KB Fab replied to sigarmsp226's topic in Benelli
Super Sport = Bad A S S! I've had mine for about 3 years now and have upwards of 6000 rounds through it. Not one malfunction and it eats everything I put through it. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. -
I just had the same problem a couple of days ago. I started a thread and put in a link to the Benelli site.....never made it to the forum. Probably some BS filter. As long as you upload images and refrain from hyperlinking you should be fine. (roll eyes)

Funny thing is, I bought one of the 14" barrels from HK last time he had them for sale just in case this deal fell through. Now I'll have an extra barrel that I can either sell or keep as a spare. I really wanted two guns though so this is the best outcome.

Well it's time to resurrect this thread. After a 15 month wait (you're kidding me.....right?) my 11722 is about to be shipped to my local dealer. I had almost given up and was going to get my deposit back when I got the notification a couple of weeks ago. I waited until I had a serial number and had my dealer check on it with the ATF last Monday and the dealer to dealer was approved that day. There were apparently various reasons for the delay in getting them from Beretta Defense but at the end of this, I'm getting it shipped to my dealer for $1714.99. If I didn't already have my 11707 M4 already I don't know if I would have been able to wait that long. The thought of getting it for what a regular M4 costs is what kept me going. At any rate, there are a few friends waiting patiently for it to get here. I'll post gun pics when my dealer takes delivery.

Could be FFT has a new customer for their trigger parts.
-
There is the possibility with the introduction of the new NP3 coated M4 w/collapsible stock that Benelli may start selling them. Just have to wait and see how it plays out.
-
Thanks Hookster! Yeah that is a cool name. Helluva band too.!
-
Thanks man. Yep, I did the photos as well as providing the guns.
-
I took these to help promote a local band playing a gig this Friday night. I thought they turned out pretty good.
-
Well done SD, well done. I'd be getting the parts if I wasn't already compliant with the stuff I have.

New M4 at SHOT Show with NP3 finish, full mag and collapsible stock
KB Fab replied to HopetonBrown's topic in Benelli
Model differentiation and they can sell it for more money, that's why. If it was black it would look just like a regular ole' M4. Personally, I wouldn't want my M4 in anything but black but that's just me. These will sell, of that I'm sure. -
Don't see why not.

It's toast dude. You're probably gonna have to send it back to Benelli for repair.

Here it is. http://www.ammoland.com/category/pro-gun/page/138/ Manasquan, NJ --(Ammoland.com)- Saiga 12’s, Benelli M4’s and virtually any other tactical/military shotgun can no longer be banned from import by the ATF. A little noticed provision tucked into a large appropriations bill obviously flew under the radar of the “Brady Bunch” and the “Illegal Mayors.” The new law effectively kills ATF’s plan to stop tactical/military shotgun imports by way of abusing the“sporting purpose” requirement and their agency rulemaking powers. The “Fiscal Year 2012 Agriculture, Commerce/Justice/Science (CJS) and Transportation/Housing/Urban Development (THUD) Appropriations bills”, also known as the “Mini-Bus”, was passed by Congress, and signed into law by President Obama on November 18, 2011. The new law reads as follows: SEC. 541. None of the funds made available by this Act may be used to pay the salaries or expenses of personnel to deny, or fail to act on, an application for the importation of any model of shotgun if– (1) all other requirements of law with respect to the proposed importation are met; and (2) no application for the importation of such model of shotgun, in the same configuration, had been denied by the Attorney General prior to January 1, 2011, on the basis that the shotgun was not particularly suitable for or readily adaptable to sporting purposes. This new law became necessary due to the ATF releasing on January 27, 2011, a “Study on the Importability of Certain Shotguns.” The “Study” argued “military shotguns, or shotguns with common military features that are unsuitable for traditional shotgun sports” should be banned from import into the U.S. The ban would have applied to all shotguns including semi-autos, pump-actions, double barrels, etc. As part of the rulemaking process, comments from the public on the study were allowed to be submitted until May 1, 2011.

Looks like all these stupid compliance parts may be moot. Check out this article.
