  1. Ok, revised LOP figures taken from the OEM C-stock. All measurements were taken following this drawing I found over on Shotgun World in this thread. http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=141987&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Fully collapsed = 9 1/8" Middle position = 12 1/8" Fully extended = 14 1/8" Here is a great explanation of stock fit that is quoted from the same thread.
  2. Have you ever used one of the OEM C-stocks on an M4? I think you would be surprised at how well made they are and how solid they feel in all three positions. At least mine is.
  3. Good question. I have seen it done different ways over the years. I can go back and measure it that way for sure.
  4. Mine is too for where I live.
  5. IIRC, the Nordic Components button is a simple round part that requires "you" to drill and tap your carrier latch. Not a super technical thing but it would be tricky for the average hobbyist. The only problem I see with this one is the potential for the button to loosen and spin. You could mitigate that some with loctite but the whole design doesn't leave me feeling too confident. The Arredondo bolt release I am less familiar with but I personally did not like the long skinny shape and the fact that it was a plastic part. Simply my opinion, nothing else. The GG&G bolt release is what I consider to be a well designed and executed part. Yes it is expensive but IMHO you get what you pay for. First, they modify a stock carrier latch and do it in such a way that the pad is fully secure on the post and will not spin. There are a couple of notches machined into the post that correspond with the pocket on the pad and they match up superbly. I also really like the shape and texture. It makes for a very positive feel when employing. I also enjoyed learning a little about my weapon with the install. Sure it is somewhat tricky getting everything lined back up but it really isn't that difficult. I went back and forth for some time before I decided to go ahead and shell out for the GG&G. To me, it's money well spent.
  6. Wel..........there ya go.
  7. Yeah.....well.....I thought I would try and be of some help. To bad these Urbino fanboys can't have the real stock that should go on this weapon.
  8. The LOP on the factory C-stock is as follows. This was measured from the pistol grip/receiver interface to the center position on the end of the recoil pad.. Fully collapsed = 8 3/16" Mid-position = 11 5/16" Fully extended = 13 1/4"
  9. And the OEM style brake installed.
  10. Finally got around to taking some shots of Kip's new muzzle brake/choke set-up on my M4. As with everything else, the quality of these parts are superb. Haven't had a chance to shoot with them yet but hopefully soon. Until then, enjoy. First two are with the extended choke installed and the second is with the external thread protector.
  11. You really need a 3/32" roll pin punch to start. I would also put the gun upside down and put a drop of CLP in there, leave it overnight, and proceed to remove it. Then, you'll need some sort of slave pin to hold everything together while you drive the pin back in. A 3/32" drill bit works great. This is way easier than you think and I really had no issues installing mine. PM me your number if you want and I'd be happy to give you a buzz and walk you through it.
  12. All pump shotguns will do this to some extent. I'm on my second Super Nova tactical and both of them had a slight rattle in the fore grip. In fact, even when you rack the slide and close the bolt there is still about 1/16" of for/aft play. These things are normal for a pump shotgun. If you think the SN has a little rattle, you should look at a new 870 or a Mossberg pump.
  13. I guess they see the writing on the wall.
  14. I read somewhere on the internet that rogue trees are becoming increasingly problematic in many areas. I'm pretty sure this will fill that niche.
  15. Arrived yesterday. Thanks Rezarf, great transaction. Couple of pics for ya. One by itself and one on my Super Sport with my turkey loads.
  16. The SNT's with Comfortech stocks are available. I recently picked another one up myself. You should be able to go to any authorized Benelli dealer and have them order it for you.
  17. +1 on that. I spoke with Todd there this morning about a couple of inquiries I had. I sent them an email through their contact page and he called me back within 15 minutes. It's pretty exciting the amount of M4 accessories they are providing, especially the new forend.
  18. I know he's busy. I just got my shorty tube from him in the mail two days ago. The best way to contact is through the "contact us" button on the website. Hang tight bro, he'll get back to you.
  19. I'll take it. PM me how you want payment.
  20. Uhmmmm, no, I didn't order an Urbino from anyone else and you can bet your ass that I won't be in the future. As for what I said, you need to learn how to read better. Here is what I said and I have in bold the words that you should pay particular attention to. I never said one word about "what is". I did say a few words about what "it seems like" and to anyone with a brain, there's a difference. I cancelled my order because I didn't find out until the stock was released that you had forgone the original M4 design principles in favor of some flathead screw. Subsequently, there seemed to be an issue with installation interfering with the trigger group and that was enough for me to cancel my order and take a "wait and see" position. Your attitude didn't help much either when I specifically stated that my criticism was meant to be constructive but you seemed to take it otherwise. Furthermore, you write up some big essay on collapsing stocks based on your five year old M4 and then you have to be told that all M4's are coming equipped with the three-position tubes? Whatever. I suppose it's a good thing that you have a new M4 but you can bet I won't be buying any Mesa accessories for mine. Have a nice day.
  21. Ya think?
