I still say guns are cool.

Oh.......you know how the internet goes, win a few and lose a few.

I read on the internet that it is quite desirable to have a ported gun in a duck blind.

No problem. The correct punch size is 3/32". There is probably a metric equivalent but 3/32" is close enough that you won't have any issues. The proper terminology is "roll pin punch" and they are available from Brownell's as well as a plethora of on-line retailers. Like I said, I would be happy to walk you through it if you want. There is a bit of a trick to getting it all back together and you will benefit from a 3/32" slave pin or drill bit (in addition to your punch) to keep things aligned while reassembling. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=5551/Product/ROLL_PIN_PUNCHES

The only advice is to get the proper size punch, period. I can't remember what I used to do mine but I'll try to go out to the shop in a bit to see. I own and run a welding/machine shop so I realize my tool inventory might be more than average. The other thing you should have done is put a drop of CLP in the bottom of the hole a day or so before you did the mod. That will allow the clp to penetrate enough where the pin won't require much force to remove. Don't sweat it too much, I'll get the punch size for you and walk you through it if you like. You could PM me your number and I'll call you on my dime.

I prefer the ones with "wings" myself.

I read somewhere on the internet that tampons were good for cleaning shotguns.

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. Don't forget the pumpkin pie!

Uhhhhh..........guns are cool.

I have had mine for a little over a year and I love it. It is very easy to disassemble and clean and it swings like a dream. I have the 28" barrel on mine and it will eat anything I put in there. I know I have at least 3000 rounds through it with zero malfunctions.

Maybe that's the reason I can never seem to come away with any useable meat.

Well here ya go superfly. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/search.php?searchid=1440281 All you have to do is type 922r into the search function and you will get 140 threads that cover the topic in some detail. There are a few that cover it in GREAT detail. I find it funny, and inevitable, that there are those who choose not to use the forum as a reference but rather asked a question that has been answered ad nauseam. Maybe your next question could be "Can you tell me if there has ever been a 922r prosecution for a Benelli M4 shotgun?"
-
"The truth..........you can't handle the truth!"
-
Oh no, thank you for yours. The 922r subject has been beat to death here in many a thread that could be easily found by using the search function. Have a nice day.

You never heard of Johnson rods? Man, you have to have those for your M4 in any kind of doomsday scenario. Best get to gittin'.
-
Don't forget about the extra Johnson rods.

I read somewhere on the internet that storing a gun barrel down could possibly cause some things that may or may not be advantageous to a successful outcome where someones well being is threatened by a warthog invasion that was initiated by a redneck having his way with one in the middle of the Louisiana backwoods. Probably nothing to worry about but you can never be too careful.

Very well as far as I could see. There were a pretty good mix of guns there in terms of brand and semi vs pump. Obviously the Benelli's stood out to me because that's what I own. Travis and Chris had an M4 as well as an M2 (I think it was an M2). The M4 was decked out with a C-stock and a Surefire fore end. It was obvious, to me, that Travis and Chris liked using the Benelli's but they didn't overly try to favor one gun over another. The video is pretty well done IMO.

After watching Magpul's shotgun video, I don't think I'd be interested in a Mossberg. It was the most difficult of the bunch in terms of doing round changeover drills. Not saying that is isn't a good gun but after watching them use the it, Benelli's, 870's, and 1100's, I know I won't be adding one to my stable. I'd rather have a Supernova Tactical for a pump.
