  1. Yes, I did rig up a 3 point sling for the MR1. It does support a standing shot, and helps prevent the barrel from rising if you happen to pull your head up early, but one other major advantage is that I can now load the rifle without having to set it down. I was forced to put down the rifle in order to load the clip, so this is a safer method. I'm not sure if I have the best quality sling here, because it isn't easy to shift the straps, but it is much better than going without one. Since the MR1 is good for steady aiming and shooting but not so great for rapid fire, than the sling is the way to go, tell me otherwise or else send Canada some high quality slings!
  2. I had one of those in my hands today, an AR. It was very light, and I was surprised by how light it was. I was wondering if the handle would come off, but they must be tough. Try your hands on an MR1 some time, that is the Benelli equivalent.
  3. Is the safety on? Weird stuff happens with them unless the safety is on, otherwise it sounds like someone got a hold of it and removed parts, for their own gun.
  4. It sounds like you are attempting to load a semi automatic rather than a pump action. On a semi automatic you load the bottom, and than throw one in the chamber.

    Benelli MR1

Also... More testing needs to be conducted, for sure. I am going to have a better concept of the MR1 next time that I shoot. It feels very nice. I now have it set up comfortably with some adjustments. It is nice and light. I'm confident that I can shoot it accurately. I'd take some 40 grain but I'm stuck with 55's. I'm not sure what will happen. I might get a different impression of the rifle this time. It will be more fun to shoot. Don't get me going after these movie stars. I have much better things to do. I'm not quite ready to recommend the MR1, however I just might. Anyway, it feels very offensive, rather than a defensive/protection gun.

You cock suckers asked for it. Yes, that .22 caliber is the smaller round than the MR1 fires as far as I can determine and I wouldn't push this gun too hard. As if I didn't know what automatic meant, lol. What do you think this is? You should stop watching television. I gave it up completely, and I went to guns and aquariums. You can learn more in aquariums about guns than you can learn here on this website. The world is full of ******* ********, hehehe.

    Benelli MR1

What I mean is what is the difference between the automatic and this rifle, but now I see that the automatic is lighter, and that makes sense because I felt that this gun was somewhat of a heavy bullet and uncomfortable to shoot rapidly. I like it as long as I take time between shots, but not too much time, say for example three seconds or so, only than is this gun comfortable to shoot with, and accurate. It has it's place in the gun family.

    Benelli MR1

It's not a very fast gun, it needs to be shot nice and steady. You can easily aim with it. I'm not sure what I think of it yet. My first impression is that it felt too much like an R1 rifle, yet with less recoil. That is why I was wondering what an assault rifle was like compared to the MR1. I'd like to try 40 grain bullets rather than 55 grain. It didn't go the way that I thought it might but it takes time to grow comfortable with the rifle, and I mean it is capable of being accurate for sure. It is a powerful gun yet it felt very wrong to shoot rapidly. Nice and steady, paced shooting, and it is a great gun, the MR1. I'll use it instead of the R1 from now on, unless I need more fire power for some specific reason.

What are you people doing here on this forum? I'm into guns. These guns that Benelli make, what is the other ****, you stupid ****** up cunts, lol.

This is the truth, boy. I just read in one of the review articles on the Benelli website. A review done on the MR1. The author said that it was a sure shot at 40 yards using the metal sights. Well I was good for 50 yards inside of a tunnel with low lights, but I think that the barrel might have lifted twice, but I must have shot close to 40 rounds altogether. Also it is not good for rapid fire shooting, you need a shot gun for that. I thought maybe it would be, so I didn't quite shoot the way that an experienced person would, but now I know about that. What troll are you suggesting. I just picked up two new Benelli guns in the last two weeks.

    Benelli MR1

What are you talking about? So my question basically is, how does the MR1 than compare to a rapid shooting rifle, since I don't feel that the MR1 is good for rapid shooting, it carries too heavy of a punch, but it is good for picking up quickly and shooting, just not for emptying a whole clip without aiming. Anyway, I've never tried a fully automatic, but this MR1 is going to be interesting. Well Benelli doesn't appear to have a fully automatic rifle. That is what I'm saying, I wonder why they don't but maybe this MR1 is better anyway but only after you become familiar with it.

    Benelli MR1

There is this place that I shoot at and it is located inside of a tunnel, and at 50 yards it is a bit tough to shoot the target because of the fact that it is inside that tunnel rather than out in the open. I've shot at 100 yards out in the open with my R1 and hit the target every time. I hate that scope, but I was able to hit the target fairly easily standing. Inside of this tunnel, 100 yards would be pure **** I bet. Anyway, I used the MR1 and I was able to shoot a critical shot when I tried it out last week. That cleaning patch went a fifth of the way in and than it got stuck and I pulled it out, but it needed some pliers to get it out again. That is what happens when the cloth patch is too big. Well those barrels are quite hard, so perhaps you are not incorrect after all, but I know that I shouldn't have to force anything. Usually that means that something bad has occurred. I'll have to take it for another walk soon. Yeah, like I said, with my R1, I shoot differently every single time and each of my chess games are completely different, so you never know how I will shoot. It could be perfect or it could hit the ceiling (although with a proper sling, that should at least never happen). I hit the jugular on the neck of that human target. That was a cool shot but I was sort of tired that last round, but this MR1 is easy to pick off the body and to go for a head shot and get close for sure, but damn it, rapid fire is garbage, total junk. I will never try that using an R1 or an MR1. Damn youtube videos.

    Benelli MR1

I probably already wrecked mine. I pulled the cleaning patch at the end of the cleaning rod back out, and afterward realized that that might stretch the barrel slightly. Oh well. Well it will still shoot, I'm quite sure. Damn guns. You have to learn somewhere. You know, it is nice and easy to shoot, but it is difficult to clean because it is so narrow. I didn't have a problem cleaning the R1 rifle barrel. I messed up on some other part on that one, I used a copper brush on the bolt, although it still works fine, but that was not ideal, and I shot it fairly heavily twice, but I heard that they are not the most accurate in the first place and I can shoot it just fine. I tried the MR1 and there I learned that you can't fire rapidly with it, not like an automatic, yet it can fire quicker than the R1. I'm not talking about aiming and pulling the trigger a bunch of times, but aiming and getting a hit on target. I'm not sure why anyone just pulls the trigger all those times without stopping. I actually am going to take my time when I fire and not think of it at all as similar to an automatic, but rather a comfortable small rifle, with very little kick back, yet the barrel might rise if I lose any concentration. It is more fun to work with than the R1 but I need a proper sling. The R1 with a good sling shoots fine but it is such a large bullet, whereas this one is not that small and it is easy to navigate using the rear sight instead of a scope. A scope is better if you are resting the gun on a support, but here this MR1 is fine to shoot standing. It's my first set of guns and I'll learn from them for a couple years and than grab a new set, knowing better how to use them of course. I was curious how it compared to an assault rifle. I think that the military might use assault rifles, but I don't know for sure. Well I shouldn't think that way. Yes, this MR1 is quite fun, although that R1 even with the scope, with a proper sling, that thing is very nice although each standing shot is a big effort. I was getting a weight lifting workout every time. Well I better not mess up my MR1 too much because I'm not ready to buy another one right away, I'd stay away from rifles if that were the case.

    Benelli MR1

Okay, so the MR1 is not automatic but it is a semi automatic and it kicks out NATO bullets, but why isn't it an automatic rifle? Is that what they call an assault rifle (a fully automatic rifle)? Is the MR1 in any way similar to an automatic rifle? does it have any advantages? What is your opinion of the MR1? for example is it used at a different range/distance, is it closer to a hunting gun than an assault rifle?
  17. I like being on the offensive with fire power for a couple hours during whatever day of the week it is, because I often remain defensive at other times. It is a good outlet for sure. I shoot them in a very specific way, although sure, I've blasted a dozen or so bird shots at the air with some less care, but I have shot the serious fire power only under strict conditions. It is the only way. I hate these guns until I am familiar with them. They are a burden and there is no sense regarding them because there is no understanding based on what these news agencies dish out to the dogs. So I know each gun according to my own purpose which I am working on fulfilling.
  18. I have a picture of a Benelli gun on my photo album. That there is the only gun anyone ever needs unless they get into guns for a specific purpose. The way that it should work is that if I needed a certain gun than I could get it but it would help to know which ones I wanted in the first place. Don't you think. That there answers all of the questions. Now, make sure to disassemble, think safe, etc, lol.

With both of the rifles, you need to lower the bolt part way as you fit the stock and the barrel parts together. That means lining up the bolt into the stock spring so that you can lower the bolt by pushing it back into the spring. It will fit together flush than, otherwise with the bolt up, it won't allow the pieces to join, so lower that bolt part way and than it will clasp together. Than pull the barrel down and it will slide right on. The R1 is actually a bit tough, whereas your gun there is not that bad. I've put an MR1 together and it was easier to assemble. It should be a breeze, but that is the secret, lower the bolt as you slide the pieces together.
  20. I'm not completely certain that it is a must have gun since I have the Super Noval Tactical, but than again it sure is popular, isn't it (the M4)? It is a gun that I think that I could put the brakes on for, however one day when I am sitting there with a few bucks, than I could spring for it, or if the Super Nova Tactical does not hold water, or some good reason. I quickly tried the Super Nova Tactical and it was alright, but I don't like the plastic pump part, it seems that it should be more solid, like metal rather than plastic. This would not be an issue with an M4. I'm a little bit better with my guns. I was a bit rough on my R1 rifle, yet it can handle some roughness. It is doing fine. Next one, if I need to rely on a big rifle, I'll treat it with experience. It is one heck of a powerful gun, yet nice and compact. I'm generally more aware now in all kinds of ways when handling any rifle. A few months ago, the rifle was the same as a shot gun, as far as I knew. I am now heading into some tactical guns, which feel nice and it helps to have used the hunting guns. You know, I went into this place today and did some shooting, but I asked them if they had a tactical sling, such as the two or three point type, and they did not have any of those slings. Is that ever insane. What in the world is going on. Two days ago I was in another gun shop and it was the same story, no slings. Boy is this ever nuts. I'm almost forced to open my own gun shop here. Anyway, it is just a hobby and I am getting mixed results, some good things have transpired. I'm not ready to shoot up any store. The last thing that I was going to say, is that I really am using my guns. They are not for display, but I want to see what kind of proficiency that I can develop over the next few years. I think that the Benelli guns are fairly tough. I wish that there were just a few more available, but at the moment I'm done shopping, at least until after Christmas. I probably have a few questions about specific guns. Here is the thing though. I'd like to be able to get any one of these Benelli products and not worry about supply. I don't want to be forced to act like a criminal because there is a certain gun that is rare. The prices on these guns are not all that substantial but they are the guns that I want to use. I wonder why they are so rare, other than the Super Black Eagle II, that is. I shouldn't complain too much however. I'm stacked up for a while, and satisfied. It will keep me busy for the months ahead. I'm sure that I can wrestle up a sling somewhere. I have not tried that hard even though they should be prolific. I get tired sometimes after say four or five shots during one turn, and the sling keeps the barrel level. I think that I ripped one or two off the ceiling accidentally right at the end. By the powers, was it done on purpose, that is the question.
  21. I went slightly too far but not to insane with buying them. The problem was that Benelli is not that easy to get, for example, I still can't get an M4, although I only tried so hard. I checked with about three popular gun shops and one out of the way one. The result was that I was able to get most of the main feature guns, not that I bought them all, but I could get them, however there is not a large supply, for example, if I wanted another R1 rifle, I could get one from a couple different sources, but they don't have a whole bunch of R1's lying around. This is how I figured out how this whole thing works. There is plenty of differentiation among the family of Benelli guns, as well as among the super family of firearms, not just Benelli. These guns present different possibilities and I bet that over time, I might want to use one type over another depending upon what mood I am in. Well, so my plan is to be able to grab the gun that I want and head over to the gun range or where ever (at some point I will probably take the hunters education one day course and then get a hunting license). I liked shooting the hunting rifle, but now the tactical shot gun is interesting (you can add night vision), and there are other guns, not just for shooting clay, but there again, that is a different gun. What I should be able to do, now that I have a firearms license, is to be able to grab whatever gun that I want and go shooting and than forget about it, just enjoy the temporary high that I get after. I'll buy all of the guns, but they have to be purchased over time. You see, all of the guns add up to less than twenty thousand dollars. Well a car costs more than that. Over four or five years that is pocket change, lol. Otherwise I'll buy about four or five primary guns and buy replacements for them every five years. The point is that these guns are not very expensive, and if they are purchased slowly than they cost almost nothing, but here is the final blow. I might have solved the riddle. These are not guns, they are a hobby and simply food for the imagination. My perception is changed from what it was before because I thought that these things might be useful. I'm not a gun collector but more like someone who is proficient at using the different types of guns, yet it feels like I already robbed the bank, and found out that what I need the money for is a mystery. The guns are good to have, although with a few other hobbies, it was worth taking the firearms course. I'm glad that I did it.
  22. A few of the things that I wanted to accomplish is that if I were faced with a situation in which a gun was presented to me in some way, form, or circumstance, than I should be able to handle the gun safely rather than see it as a dangerous object that I did not understand. I also wanted to see what it was like to shoot them, and it is also fairly normal for where I live to have a long gun, at least. I'm slightly older in life now, not ancient, but a little bit of shooting is acceptable risk, and I'm past the point of relationships, family building, etc. It is a hobby with some fire contained in it, along with my other less tense hobbies. Now it is not all good, this gun conscience is now ever present, however it must mean that I need to do more practicing as you said, so that it is solved; my conscience that is...and the reminders. Oh yeah, but these guns are just fun and games in fact. So I can keep plenty but I started out of the gate too fast here, yet they make it that way, they force you to. Anyway, I did alright, that is the point. I'm satisfied, and I went with Benelli. They have almost all of the bases covered I think. Where are their hand guns...and not this one handed shot whatever it is.
  23. Now that I have had my license for a few months I was able to try out some guns and I also purchased some. Now, I see that there is quite a difference between a rifle and a shot gun and than there is even some more differentiation based on each type. Well I didn't know anything about shooting until I started trying them out. Now I have a bit of knowledge and it continues to expand. Here is what I feel. I probably have a couple of guns that I do not really need. I might not use them very much in other words. Either I'll hold on to them or else I'll sell. It does not hurt to hold on to a gun that fits into a category, for example, long range, or mid range, or short range accuracy. I have enough money that I can just hold on to a gun that I don't use very often. What I am saying here however is that if I actually knew what these guns were capable of, than I wouldn't have bought certain ones because I only wanted perhaps one or two types which is plenty because they are what I now believe are the ones that I would go with, having tried an assortment of them. When I started out, I just wanted to try out a gun, plain and simple and I just went to the store and bought one which seemed to look awesome. When for the first time I heard the instructor shoot my rifle, I was amazed that it was so loud. That was unreal. I thought to myself, why am I doing this. This is crazy. Anyway, now I can handle it. I have not gone too far overboard here, BTW. Yet, there is a large variety to chose from. I think I'm done now. I believe that I have now exhausted the possibilities by the end of this month. I graduated it appears in general firearms training/experience.
  24. The pump action is less accident prone and a tactical pump has features that allow a shot gun to be used for combat. Now the semi automatics are more powerful but they are not required in most situations, so they have a special team that uses them. Now a police officer has the ability to carry a shot gun and a shot gun has more stopping power than a hand gun. You can shoot open a door and other things as well with a shot gun (at least in the movies). Yeah, a shot gun is great to use as the primary weapon. An officer could carry a few slugs and use the feature of the Super Nova Tactical that locks the magazine, than throw in a slug in the chamber and have a short distance rifle shot right there (100 - 300 yards), say at someone attempting to run away from a crime otherwise they should use shot. That is what I think anyway.
  25. Yeah it has to be slammed.
