1. I'm talking about LEO and self defense applications, don't know if you are. If it's an acute issue then why doesn't US law enforcement employ 22" shotguns? They don't. They use 14" and 18" shotguns. The Versamax Tactical is a 22" 3 gun competition shotgun for gamers. The R12 is a law enforcement gun and comes in 2 lengths; 14" and 18". The Benelli M4 is a law enforcement/military gun that comes in 2 lengths; 14" and 18". I took a 2 day defensive shotgun class this year with shotgun SME Rob Haught. He said something to the effect "you don't know how great shotgunning is until you try a 14 inch gun".
2. Capacity on a shotgun is really a non-issue. If you train with a competent instructor, you can keep that thing fed. Shoot 2, load 2, etc. I'd rather have a 5 shot, nimble shotgun than a 10 shot 22" broomstick.
3. I have no use for a 22" long combat shotgun. The sweet spot is the R12, but apparently Remington thinks us civilians aren't worthy.
4. Shooter > Prince Of Product Procurement
5. "Made to sell" doesn't sound like it applies to what you're trying to say, to be honest. Might want to go back to the drawing board with that one. Taran Butler probably has more rounds downrange than everyone on this forum combined. He certainly has more 3 championships under his belt with a Benelli than anyone on Earth. You may be the Gear King here on the Benelli forum (what a title!), but I think he has got it figured out.
6. He doesn't need to compete with an M4 to know what makes a good charging handle for a Benelli. He does compete with a Benelli M2. "Made to sell" product. What product isn't made to sell?
7. I'd suggest buying Taran Butler's charging handle for the M4. Who knows more about 3 Gun, and the rigors of a shotgun in competition? http://tarantacticalinnovations.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=116_118&products_id=330
8. Then cancel your order. A mom and pop shop SLAMMED with orders over the past year, as was the rest of the firearms industry because of Sandy Hook. Heck, I bought mine years ago and they still took a few months. Why you waited until 2013 to buy this part is known only to you. If I were you I'd buy someone else's tube and install. When Kip's does show up, sell it at a mark up which will probably pay for a good chunk of the other tube you installed.

M4 Noob

I don't have any tips or tricks for you, but wanted to show my solidarity, for I too am left handed. But as luck would have it I'm right eye dominant and shoot right handed.
10. Botach is selling the Mesa Tactical Urbino stock and forend for the M4 for $90 delivered, which is a smokin' deal.
11. Well firstly, congratulations on getting some formal instruction. You're way ahead of most of the guys on this forum or at your local range. The thing about classes is that you take whatever they tell you, use it during the class, and if it doesn't make sense to you, just push the mental delete button after the class. A lot of guys are stuck in their ways, so it's good to see something different. Game guys like your instructors are gonna have a different way of doing things than LEO/MIL guys. Depends on what your focus is, since the former is fighting a clock, and the latter are fighting bad guys.
12. A Shotgun 1 class that's only 3 hours long? Take a class with Louis Awerbuck, Scott Reitz or Rob Haught. Those are the world's shotgun gurus. I've taken classes with 2 of those guys; they were 2 days long each. I port load the same way you do, over the top. Harder to drop a round on the ground that way and you can see the port while you're doing it. And you can run brass up and load that way easier. I'm a big fan of push/pull; it's very effective. I don't agree much with your instructor. What are his credentials?
13. Looks pretty straightforward to me, dawg. What I like about TTI is that he runs his stuff, and runs it hard. A lot of aftermarket makers out there, but do they even shoot?
14. Taran Butlers custom Benelli parts are currently 15% off. I'm not affiliated in any way. Makes an extended safety, extended bolt release, and a charging handle.

Rebate

Ask them and tell us the answer.
16. Whatever you bring, make sure you shoot a bunch out of your gun first to make sure they cycle reliably.
17. No, not at all like that one. Unless you're carrying other reloaded metal bricks around with you, because the post you're replying to said "instantly removable and can be quickly 'reloaded'". I'll hazard to guess that he put "reloaded" in apostrophes because by reloaded he meant slapping on another loaded shell carrier.
18. What combat shotgun courses have you taken? How did your Sidearmor perform in those classes? Velcro has a sticky back. I stick it on the receiver. You can unstick it if you want. The gun will not die because of it. SOE and Ares Gear make velcro panels that you wear on your belt. Upon those you can carry spare 5/6 round velcro cards. When the one on your receiver goes dry, rip it off, toss it, and replace it with the ones on your belt. I use the same system with my 870 Police. Commonality between platforms is good. So in summation. Cheaper and lighter is better. Lower profile than the Sidearmor, too. Plus I can use the same cards (I have over half a dozen) with other shotguns.
19. Took a 2 day shotgun class with scattergun guru Rob Haught. Student handed him his M4 with Sidearmor rail. Instructor felt the rail and said "wow, you can shave with this thing". That means he didn't like the sharp angles. I recently took off my Mesa saddle, and replaced it with velcro from Lowe's and SOE shell cards. 6 rounders. Cheaper, lighter, better.
20. Take off the accessories and sell them separately. Not many people are gonna be interested in buying the worlds most expensive Supernova. Supernova $400 OBO, Briley extension $100 OBO, stock $300 OBO. There.
21. I use these. Brownells is currently on backorder. http://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/general-gunsmith-tools/cartridge-dummies/shotgun-dummies-prod31872.aspx
22. Then why don't you buy it off the Benelli website? They sell for $300 elsewhere.
23. Ran this through a 2 day class and decided I am going to use velcro side saddles on all my shotguns instead. Has a few superficial scuffs, screws look like they were screwed on, then removed. $79 delivered, MidwayUSA sells these for $105. Part No. 90880
24. Wow, I didn't notice when I posted it, but he has a FDE vertical foregrip with light attached to what is probably as jsn124 said a Surefire M80.
