Yes, the bottom has fallen completely out. Nearly everyone is running either a factory C-stock or Mesa Urbino. That's why you're selling yours, probably. That leaves hundreds, if not thousands of orphaned pistol grip stocks looking for homes. They have completely changed eBay. You can return anything to any one and get all your money back, including shipping. Even if they stipulate they don't take returns. They now require sellers to take returns, but all you have to do is file a "not as described" complaint and eBay has Paypal take the funds from the sellers account and doesn't return them until you say you're happy or until it shows you've returned the item back to seller. They also no longer allow sellers to leave buyers negative feedback.

I don't care what people on YouTube are doing with a product that I am interested in. That wouldn't affect my purchasing decision. Maybe you could ask the Marine Corp to upload some videos of them using their M4s. Would that make you feel better about buying one?

KBFab, with your vociferous attacks on Mesa Tacticals Urbino stock and it's use of a screw driver for assembly which later disintegrated into personal attacks on the owner of the company it doesn't seem that is how you roll. :-)

I asked how much it weighs, I didn't say your gun, or the M4 in general was too heavy or light. I wanted to know how much more it weighed as configured, with extra rounds in the shell holders, to compare to the weight of my basic M4. Maybe some folks don't need to be so easily butthurt, or read more into questions.

Put it on a scale, let's see how much it weighs.

If you're worried about overpenetration in a house use #4. Don't go any smaller. Birdshot is for the birds; literally. Federal LE makes a #4.

I have my HD guns loaded with one in the chamber. I'm shocked by the number of guys who even carry without one in the chamber. It's usually younger and less experienced shooters. There's a reason why many modern handguns don't have any sort of manual safety (Glock, Sig, etc). In that split second moment you have to operate your weapon, fine motor skills go out the window, adrenaline is pumping and many officers would forget to disengage their safety, ultimately costing them their life. I want to get as many of the odds in my favor as possible. Set your alarm clock for 4am. When the buzzer goes off, see if you remember to insert your mag and rack the slide before going out into the living room:-)

There's a gun auction website called Gunbroker.com. When you register you can search through months of completed auctions. This will give you the best estimation of your value.

I don't know if "correct" is the right word, I don't find anything wrong with the grip other than it's a little different from the OEM grip. Mitch at Mesa said they'd give the revised grip to whoever wanted one. I don't think this is going to happen soon, as their plate sounds pretty full with the launching of the Urbino for the other platforms.

I say that the owner of Front Sight kinda creeps me out, and a few guys get butthurt, like you questioned the virtues of their mom. I'm asking honest questions. Can someone answer them without hysterics or name calling? Front Site virtually gives away classes. $89 for a 4 day handgun class! You see people selling memberships and gift certificates to Front Site on the various gun boards for pennies on the dollar; because they received them for free or for pennies on the dollar. Why does Front Site need to deeply discount their training? This is an honest question. The people who sing Front Site praises, have they trained at other sites like Gunsite or Thunder Ranch? Or is it the only training facility they've been to? I ask because when they say how great it is, I want to know if they have anything to compare it to. These are honest questions. I want to know why Front Sight has to virtually give away its product, while other training sites charge big bucks. Gun Site and Thunder Ranch both have several merchandising deals with ammo and gun makers. Why doesn't any manufacturer want to be associated with Front Sight? The owner calls himself a "millionare patriot", but Front Sight is in court mandated receivership. Front Sight aggressively advertises online, Gun Site and Thunder Ranch don't.

Hey SD, the president of Mesa said it's possible. They're all at SHOT right now, but you can ask the question on their forum, he's usually quick with responding. Instead of paying full retail and ordering directly from Mesa, order from New Frontier Armory for $37 below retail and Mesa fulfills the order.

You sound like a woman and her purses. It's not that difficult to picture the gun with a color matched tube, or a bright stainless tube. I guess it's a big deal if you're modeling your M4 in front of the mirror with your MOLLE gear on. This ain't a fashion show.
