AMEN That was the year of the Monkey, my 1st day in country.

I use a Streamlight TLR1 (Amazon less than $105) that I have been using on my Benelli M4 & Glock. Just ordered the BattleComp Mossie Midnight Mount / MT2400FSB, now I will be able to share the light with my AR. Note # 1 I didn't need the strobe option, therefore the TLR1 Note # 2 the allen wrench is only for illustration. :-) http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BattleComp-Mossie-Midnight-Mount-MT2400FSB-p/bce-mt2400fsb.htm

If you are bored and sitting around, copy the above and paste into a google search.

Dang, PROP 120 went down, therefore I won't be purchasing prime hunting property. Dang, what a bad day for this old man.
-
So we now have a corporate surreptitious plan between Benelli & ProMag. Resulting in deception of the public, for sure that makes loads of sense. As for Arizona, when they vote next week to take control of the Grand Canyon and Federal Lands, I will be interested in purchasing prime hunting property.

Just got off the Phone with Benelli Tech Support: 301.283.6981 Benelli USA has no working relationship with Pro Mag Industries. Also stated - never heard of ProMag Industries and we haven't tested any aftermarket C-Stocks.

Purchased mine from Michael Murphy & Sons this past spring and they were in stock. Send them an email asking price and availability: [email protected] Their web site sucks, can't perform a search but they reply to email questions the same day including weekends.

Yes the Geiselle Hammer is certainly one long wait, after ordering the hammer go over and order FFT's disconnector & trigger. Received the disconnector & trigger within one week of ordering.

A few weeks back my friend purchased a new M4 (his 1st shotgun) and off to the range we went. Following showing him the basics of the weapon, he started firing double-ough down range. He had FTE and the last round the bolt carrier wouldn't lock open. It was my turn and all worked great, again he had the same issues. I then noticed he was holding the weapon very loose and didn't have an aggressive stance. Had him adjust his hold|stance and from that time on, zero issues. It was the 1st time he ever fired a shotgun and his biggest concern was recoil, maybe that and the hold|stance was your friends issues. my $.02

42 users have read the thread, but zero replies. Keep checking. I believe porting isn't the way to go with .45's.

Switch to #1 buck! Dr. Fackler who was head of the Wound Ballistics Laboratory for the US Army’s Medical Training Center and considered one of the leaders in terminal ballistic has published papers about 12" penetration. Great article on ammo for shotgun. Cut & pasted from the article: Bird shot is not an acceptable self-defense shotshell round. To believe that it is could get you killed, and that has been the sad outcome in too many incidents. # 1 buck shotshell has the capacity to produce over 30 percent more potentially effective wound trauma. In all shotshell loads, number 1 buckshot produces more potentially effective wound trauma than either #00 or #000 buck. In addition, number 1 buck is less likely to over-penetrate and exit an attacker's body." http://www.chuckhawks.com/home_defense_shotgun_ammo.htm

My BAD, posted in wrong forum. Hopefully the moderator will move to the Franchi froum. Franchi’s New Affinity Compact Semi-Automatic Shotgun ACCOKEEK, MD (September 19, 2012) –– Franchi proudly introduces a new short-stock semi-automatic model called, the Affinity Compact. Integrating form and function, the Affinity Compact is the perfect gun for both young and small-statured shooters. It’s a sleek, perfectly balanced, semi-automatic shotgun that’s driven by the ultra-reliable Inertia® system. The key feature of the Compact is its adjustable buttstock, which starts with a 12⅜-inch length-of-pull (LOP), and to which spacers can be added in ¼-inch increments, increasing the LOP to 13⅜-inches. As a young shooter grows, so grows the gun. When the time is appropriate, a full-size buttstock can be fitted to the Affinity Compact. A shim kit comes standard with the Compact, allowing for adjustment of drop and cast. The Compact features a 24-inch barrel, slim fore end, and is light-weight for shots requiring a quick swing. Its refined design allows a responsiveness that few shotguns can claim. Available in 20-gauge only, the Compact receiver is made of a lightweight, durable aluminum alloy that’s strengthened with steel inserts that ensure a solid steel-to-steel lock-up. An innovative light, fast and reliable self-loading shotgun, the Affinity Compact is right at home in every type of shooting situation, whether it’s hunting birds or busting clay targets. Shooters now have an Inertia® Driven, short-stock shotgun at an attractive price. Picking up the distinctive Compact gives new meaning to “feels right.” SPECIFICATIONS: Gauge: 20-Gauge Barrel Length: 24” Chokes: IC, M Sights: Red fiber optic bar Finish: Black synthetic, Realtree® APG™ Stock Material: Synthetic Average Weight: 5.5 lbs. Try the push|pull technique (70% push and 30% pull) the forearm is the shock absorber. Use the same stand for pistol, rifle and shotgun.
