  1. EMDOM adjustable two point. I just used the sling point on the stock with the sling. No quick attach hardware.
  2. hmm... not on the ARMS site... try here http://www.mountsplus.com/AR-15_Accessories/AR-15_Scope_Rings/ARMS-31-LII.html My mistake on the name... #31 LII
  3. Look for the ARMS #31S, which has adjustable tension.

StrangerDanger, Where can one purchase the front mag tube mounted QD sling mount you have on your M4? I would love to get one!

Mine with the B&T fore end. I tried a Surefire for end and it was really wide... not to my liking. the B&T has a narrow girth on the bottom rail making it very comfortable to hold, even more so than the stock fore end. I will say the B&T does add weight, but it isn't that significant. With the full length M4, I'd stick with the stock fore end.

You could try importing one from Canada. Wolverine Supplies carries an extensive line of B&T products. I find the B&T fore end to be much more comfortable to hold than the Surefire M80. Some pics of mine:
  7. In 10% ballistic gelatine, the Duplex 32 round performed better than the Winchester Ranger Reduced Recoil LE slug load. The tests revealed that the steel 'petals' separated at around the 6-8" range and traveled only another 3" at most. The main body of the lug continued an average of 22". We tested through bare gelatine, jean material, Level II armour, dry wall and glass. All barriers had very similar results. The wound cavity was impressive. Recovered slugs had the plastic portion compressed, but stayed with the steel body. Accuracy was good, but we only tested from 25 yards. Recoil was very manageable out of the Remington 870 14" we use. I shot a few out of my 14" Benelli M4 and the load cycled without malfunction... but it was only 14 rounds. The next tests will be against a vehicle. The one thing that has to be justified is cost... it is EXPENSIVE! The Winchester Ranger was shot through bare, jean material, glass, and drywall, gelatine and exited the 32" length every time. Level II armour stopped the Winchester Ranger slug every time when tested in the past. We are still evaluating this round as a duty load, but it does look promising. The other round we were testing was the PolyShok round, but since it is no longer in production, it leaves the Duplex 32 by itself right now. Because the Duplex 32 round is made in Europe, there is some concern with continuous availability of the round in the future. I have heard that a new round similar in performance to the PolyShok round was released, but I still have to follow up on it. (Can't release more than that due to department regs...sorry)
  8. +1 for the Aimpoint Micro red dot sight. I experimented a bit and found that the lowest mount is from ARMS. When I use the middle length of the C-stock, I get the perfect cheek weld. These are old pics of my M4, but it's pretty much the same.
  9. Have your wife try shooting the PPQ, or at least holding one. It has a very small grip and the trigger is FANTASTIC. In 9mm, it should be more than manageable, recoil wise. My wife tried the PPQ along with the FN FNS, S&W M&P, and SA XDm, and she found the PPQ and the M&P to have the grip size that fit her small hands.
  10. Through our testing, Hexolit 32 ammo will penetrate Level II body armour, and still penetrate a fair distance in gelatin. In comparison, Winchester Ranger 1oz reduced recoil slug does not penetrate the armour. Tested from a 14" Remington 870 and a 14" Benelli M4.
  11. Meprolight manufactures a couple with different thread pitches.
  12. It's pricey, but a B&T (Brugger & Thomet) fore end rail system is very nice and allows for takedown without issues. If the Vickers Sling is too short, EMDOM has a two point adjustable sling that works for me. Lots of adjustment. I have found that the Larue mount sits higher than the ARMS mount. I like the lower profile of the arms mount for my cheekweld. Flashlight always a good thing on a fighting firearm I am using ESSTAC shotgun cards mounted on a velcro I stuck onto the receiver. Works well for me and avoids the stripped receiver screw issue that can occur. I like the forward facing shell carrier idea. I might get a Sidearmor version sometime in the new year to try out. Good luck! Sounds like you thought this out.
