  1. http:// I've found that the 1st knuckle on my support side hand just gets beat-up after loading 50-100 shells while running Tactical Shotgun Drills. I decided to take a trip to the Village Smithy and get a little work done. He opened up and rounded off the edges of the loading port and also welded up the slot/fork on the end of the elevator. Everything came out silky smooth. I may put a black finish back on it if I have an OCD rush.
  2. I had a Bushnell TRS on my previous S/A shotgun and it went down after a few hundred rounds. I swapped it out for a Primary Arms red dot and loved it. I currently have an RMR on my M4 and love that setup. It is the RM08 which doesn't require batteries and I like the amber triangle.
  3. I run a Trijicon RMR with the amber triangle on my M4. It's perfect!
  4. Keeping the firearm light and clean enhances everything it was built to do. The only things I've added to my M4 are a 6x sidesaddle and RMR with the amber triangle. There has to be a simple way to run a light and with the RMR only taking up 1 1/4" of the factory rail I still have options although I haven't wanted a light yet. KISS is a valuable rule.
  5. With proper shouldering of the gun and the proper stance you should be able to shoot all day without having any discomfort in your shoulder. I've taken several courses at Front Sight that were 4 days and 600 rounds. The first time there I was taking a 2 day class because I expected to be wore out after 2 day and 250 rounds. I ended up extending to 4 days because it was so much fun and I had zero pain. The biggest part of learning shotgun is learning how to keep it fed and firing. Working though malfunctions clearances is also very important although the M4 is nearly flawless. I have the same model M4 as you and it is a pleasure to shoot. Being a lefty I had to learn a different way to clear a type 3 malfunction quickly and single feed a slug while loaded with 00 because of the shell trip being positioned for right hand shooters.
  6. Just use some Flitz Polishing compound on a small rag attached to a shaft for your drill. Flitz does a great job polishing everything.
  7. I use these guys for all of my slings. I have the one on my M4 CS setup a little different than the picture. http://www.urbanertslings.com/b.html
  8. I run a RMR-08 with the amber triangle on my M4. It is great, by far the best optic I've seen for a shotgun.
  9. New Frontier Armory in N. Las Vegas sells them @ $1375. Out of stock now but 3 coming in soon.

    M4 vs FNH SLP?

Sawright. Having a good gunstore close to you is priceless. I have a great one and consider myself lucky. I was waiting for a standard M4 to come in and the big brown truck delivered a M4 Tactical with the collapsable stock. Wow, I had to have it. Like I said, lucky.
  12. My M4 Tactical came with a collapsable stock and still 5+1. Way less than $2K if you can find them.

    M4 vs FNH SLP?

The #1 biggest item is reliability. I've shot side by side with a friend with an SLP for the past 2 years while initially I shot a 930SPX. The SLP has been very reliable, almost perfect while I wore out my 930. I just bought an M4 Tactical last week and we went out to shoot a Tactical Shotgun course, 400 rounds. Now both of our guns were near perfect. I like the self cleaning ARGO piston system better and the locking bolt on the M4 seems like a good idea although I haven't seen an accuracy advantage between the two. The takedown of the M4 is right out of the SOCOM requirements which is definately the fastest and easiest out there. Both come with rails and quality ghost ring sights. A FN Police SLP runs around $1025, while a standard M4 would have run me $1325 so for $300 more there are a few features that come with the higher price. Overall both are great guns and I wouldn't hesitate 1 second on getting an FN.
