  1. Ditto, I removed stock, trigger group and bolt. Stock removal may not have been necessary, but why take chances?
  2. The pictorial was interesting and helpful. I'm aware that there may be other methods for removing and replacing the stock magazine tube on the M4, but this is the one that worked very well for me. The key was patient application of heat, I was probably a tad too conservative for fear of overheating. My advice: be patient and take your time. The instructions for replacing that come with the Carrier Comp tube worked perfectly well. Please be aware: You will hear from others on this thread, no doubt, that they have a "better" way, and will advise the use of heat sinks, or other methods. Don't be put off, or intimidated, by the various opinions or allow yourself to get to the point that with so many "experts" sharing opinions, it is not something you feel like you can do by yourself. Just follow the instructions that come with Kip's Carrier Comp tube, and you'll be just fine. If I could do it, frankly, anyone can. Interesting to notice that the residue on his shotgun was green, mine was red. Wonder what the difference was? Perhaps different locktite substance?
  3. Interesting how the residue looked like a green substance, mine was red.
  4. I will let you know ... Will compare with my vertical grip.
  5. Probably will be a good idea for me to hang on to the stock parts, in case I ever need/want to sell the M4.
  6. I decided to go with a Surefire rail foreend and the Magpul forend angled grip. Should have it installed today.

    No more 922r??

Does anyone have a link documenting an instance in which a M4 Benelli user was penalized by any government agency for not complying with 922r? I'd find that interesting.

    No more 922r??

    Thanks for proving my point.

In other words, rather than offering a helpful response, all you get from Sukhi is a reminder that you should have searched the forum for your own answers. Nice.
  11. Hmmm...that picture convinced me to avoid a vertical grip, thanks.
  12. If you use a foreend grip on your M4 Benelli, which foreend grip do you prefer, and why? A vertical grip? Or, one of these? http://www.amazon.com/MAGPUL-AFG2TM-Angled-Fore-Black/dp/B0044J84OC/ref=pd_bxgy_sg_img_z
  13. I'm interested, message sent.
  14. I just think you are not giving it enough elbow grease.
  15. What is it about just watching guns being shot? Not exactly sure why it is fun, but...at least to me...it is. Next best thing to being there? I strung together a lot of clips of pistol shooting, just thought I'd toss it out there. Enjoy. VIDEO LINK
  16. Because it spins I sometimes lose hold of it while ghost loading.
  17. OK, so I've swapped out my stock M4 mag tube, for a full length tube. Is there any market for the stock magazine and limiter?
  18. I got one too and can't stand the fact it spins, I've lost a good grip on it as a result. I'm definitely getting a CC when I can.
  19. Well, I think I went at it way too conservatively at first, so not sure my time would necessarily be yours. I did not have the gun hot enough, but when I did move up the temp, I'd say maybe four minutes? Better to take is slow than over do it.
  20. No oil on them. Where metal rubs against metal, you need some lubrication. I'm using TW25 which withstands high temperatures. I'm not worried about "smoke and carbon." And since I clean mine after each session with it....well, you get the picture. It's interesting to me how many military guys have told me they really never have shot their's much, beyond training.
  21. I confuzed. No gas enters the mag tube.
