    M4 pistol grip

Didn't realize there was a rubber overmold on the grip. I'm in the market for a M4 (having owned a HK S90) and thought from the pictures I've seen they were a plastic grip. Guess my question is somewhat irrelevant since I was wondering if I could remove the "flip" at the bottom and change the texture more towards my AR grips.

    M4 pistol grip

Curious, has anyone modified their pistol grip? Stippled, re-profiled or otherwise changed it? I did a quick Google search and didn't find an aftermarket replacement grip so I'm guessing you'd have to use the one that comes with the M4 or find a replacement Benelli one to experiment on.
  19. Thanks for the additional info and pictures. Look forward to a range report. Yeah, billet lowers are going to be a bit heavier, but hey, the non-AR15 magwell looking half full makes up for it. I've got most of the upper here, waiting on a Green Mountain barrel to be cut to 6", then I should be able to assemble the upper. Holding out for a 7075 Colt magazine lower, but I'm beginning to wonder if it'll ever happen. Plan on adding a AAC Ti-rant that will recess into the rail/forearm and give me a fairly compact weapon.
  20. SD, nice seeing a Double Diamond Glock lower. How do you like it? Been working on a DDLE Colt magazine piece by piece as availability and funding allows.
  21. Thanks for the info, I've been wondering the same myself.
  22. I could use a Benelli patch. Just need the M4 (soon) for the other items.

    New here

Thanks for the welcomes. I had lurked on this forum for a bit before joining. Saw the free exchange of knowledge and figured this was a good place to get info on a M4 before I bought one. I've definitely learned a lot and feel secure in buying one now.

    New here

Wanted to introduce myself since I'm new here. My name is David and I been around shooting for most of my life, but am by no means anything resembling an "expert". Owned a HK S90 way back when they were first being sold and used it fairly successfully in IPSC. May have even had one of the very first in the country, since my dealer had to wait on getting it for almost a month. Broke it in per HK's verbal instructions; 200+ rounds of 00. It really did make it run smooth, but I have to admit I was a bit tired after the days work. Let a few others try it out and did they ever complain about how "hard" it shot compared to their Remington 1100's! Personally I never felt it was all that bad, even after shooting slugs. A buddy and I had some fun with clay pigeons one day at the range and I was really surprised how well I was able to bust them. Beginners luck most likely. Anyway in the interests of not making this first post too long, like I said, just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. Been thinking about getting a shotgun again, and of course I naturally am inclined towards a Benelli after my previous experiences. Look forward to contributing to the conversation.
