  1. I think the difference is that if you look at the pic I posted, all the others have a conical taper at the bottom for the first stage/part/feel of engagement. The RX is flat. So it goes from nothing to high effort and that makes the feel different.
  2. I've been afeared of doing one of these because I thought I would scratch up the receiver as it was actuated. But I like the 1911 ones.
  3. I'm readin' them both at the same time as well!
  4. It's working. It's different from the others I have. They all have some "feel" as you put them in. Then the "feel" increases as you push them in. Yours is different. There is no "feel" at all as you basically drop it in. Then a lot of resistance and then it sharply snaps in. Hard to explain it if you haven't done it. It at first feels like "somethings" not correct. You go from nothing to all of a sudden a hard push is needed. The others I have are sorta "mushy" by comparison. How are you affixing the steel portion to the Titanium portion? Here's the collection thus far.
  5. Thanx! No scratching of the receiver with this?
  6. Ahhhh, I got a problem. Mine doesn't work. Something is definitely not right here. Here's a pic of what I got today.
  7. I've always liked this one, where did you get it?
  8. When you change out these releases for say a FFT or Taran Tactical, do they scratch the receiver when you use them?
  9. I was watching some M4 video on youtube the other night and saw a receiver with an aftermarket handle that was all chewed up. So overinsertion is definitely a thing. The first aftermarket one I bought would go all the way in, I tossed it.
  10. I bought an LE gun originally. I put a Titanium Mag tube on it which came with Follower and Spring. I see no reason to keep this any longer than the 6 years it has already been sitting in my closet. In New condition. There was never a round shot or chambered in the Mag. I did use the follower for about 20 rounds. Included: Benelli M4 Steel Magazine from LE gun Benelli M4 Red Follower Benelli 7 Round Spring Price: $150 shipped CONUS
  11. Don't think it would be a Fluke. I only Run 123A batteries in weapon lights. I was surprised that Surefire went the Dual Fuel route. I took that 18650 battery and am using it in my Flashlights. The idea about not training with batteries in place seems like a good idea.
  12. Briley has a lot of Black chokes
  13. Ohhh man, 3 hours! That always makes me think I didn't ask enough for something!
  14. I did go there... More than once I must admit... But I looked in the mirror one morning and said to myself, "are you freaking crazy" I won't divulge what the answer was here, but I ain't been back.
  15. You cut a hole for the pin?
  16. So I had the Original AVA Tactical mount and had bought an Elzetta light to use with it. Got a good deal on the Elzetta on FleaBay. First time went to shoot the gun, the Elzetta pulled the ripcord and easily escaped it's restraint. The mount would not hold that light. Probably could have used some InnerTube material and got it clamped down, But I would have always been suspicious of it. Stranger Danger steered me to the Impact Weapons mount. Still needed another light though... The Surefires M600DF looked nice but High $$$. told me a while to make that leap but I just did and I have to say, they make nice lights, and strangely lightweight for their size. Glad I got it, never owned a Surefire before, now I kinda get why people like them. The Elzetta weighs 5.9 oz. and the Surefire weighs 4.6 oz., so that's a good thing saving 1.3 oz. SF is a little longer which will help with unshrouding the light a bit, the Elzetta threw a pretty big barrel shadow. Also, the Surefire ran 3 hours on the 18650 Battery that came with it, amazing! The Impact Weapons mount is really light and get's the job done perfectly, low drag as well compared to the AVA mount. The Impact Weapons folks extended the combination discount for the Surefire/Mount combo even though I had bought the mount quite a while ago. Thanks Earl Pitman for the discount after the fact! He seems to carry his phone around and answer it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week... With the discount the light was like $5 more from Impact, but I think those $ went to a good company for sure. StrangerDanger turned down the SureFire Switch for me and everything is ready to mount up now. Nice to have SD as my personal Gunsmith! I'd like to say thanx to everyone who helped me out on this! Here's some PIX:
  17. Ahhh, I didn't think to look at that, thanx!
  18. Quote from the Strangest man in the World: I don't come here often... But when I do, I order another new Bolt Handle
