  1. My M4 came with only the choke installed in. Thanks for the head up about NOT using a choke in it and damaging the threads. Doh! Getting a turkey at 50 yards is impressive stuff. Awesome.
  2. I just placed an order for the Crio flush cylinder choke and will be giving it all a good test run with various Flite Control loads and with the choke that came with the M4 as well as using no choke at all. As I've read elsewhere every shotgun barrel is unique and will pattern slightly differently than the next, then the issue of the choke comes in and that too will effect shot patterns. Thanks for your explanation, it finally sank in this morning re. the unique wad used in Flite Control, either cylinder or no choke will not cause it to open up sooner than it is designed, hence, carry the buckshot load as a tighter group for longer distances, thus increasing the lethality of the spread more effectively out to greater distance. I'll enjoy testing variations of Flite Control including "low recoil" and the regular and then the high power loads. I'll stick with 00 loads for now. Again, thank you, Steve, for your comments on this, very helpful in confirming and clarifying what I've been reading elsewhere and taking the time to provide a helpful response on this thread.
  3. So, I have my shiny, brand new M4 Benelli H20 and ... Choke! It came with a choke that has three stars on the side. And four notches. I'm given to understand that for the best performance of the Federal Flite-Control 00 Buck I need a "cylinder choke" in it. So...what do I have? What do I need? Thank you.
  4. It's a beaut, Clark. Congrats.
  5. OK, so I'm looking into Federal's "Flite Control" ammo in various flavors. I want it in 12 guage 00 Buck. My application is SD/HD. Benelli M4 with 7 + 1 + 1 capacity. But now, my options have me a bit confuz-ed. 12 Gauge Federal Flite-Control 8 Pellet Buckshot Ammo 12 Gauge Federal LE12700 Buck Shot High Power ammo with Flite-Control Wad 12 gauge Federal Low Recoil 8 Pellet Buckshot FliteControl Wad ammo What kind of sacrifice in performance am I looking at between these three options? That is, low recoil v. "regular" vs. "high power"? Thanks for your thoughts/opinions.

  10. You drove yourself directly to my point. Thank you.
  11. Oh, so in fact you do expect people to communicate in a civil tone and constructive manner, since you now want to point out what you perceive a failure on my part to do so. So, you can't have it both ways. And if so, at least have the decency, to acknowledge that the needlessly snarky and insulting remarks by "Evolution" are a failure to critique in a cordial and constructive tone and manner. I rest my case.
  12. Doesn't it require a bit of Gunsmithing to install it? I just happened to watch a video review of it last night and the guy reviewing says he prefers it to the larger/square releases because he feels there is less of a chance of inadvertently hitting it while using the shotgun.
  13. Virtue signalling on your part does not change the fact that the comments we are critiquing are a violation of this site's standards, as clearly indicated in the forum owner's directions as cited/quoted above. I don't care about your quaint story about your friend. Facts are facts.
  14. @sniiped The "issue" is expressing an opinion in a cordial and constructive manner and doing so in a way that is not cordial and not constructive. Think about it.
  15. Yowzers...that is something!
  16. I'm not sure comparing recoil management on a 12 guage shotgun using a chin weld to the chin weld required with the M4 with a RDS on top of an ACOG is a good comparison since the recoil on a 5.56 M4 Carbine is much less than that of a 12 guage, even the M4, using 00 Buck. FWIW, my .02.
  17. You can express an opinion without being a jerk about it. You seem to be having a hard time understanding this. Read this...again. 18. I know it is probably the same on any Internet forum, on any topic, but it never ceases to amaze me how folks on a firearm discussion forum feel this odd need to tear down and attack personally other participants for their choices. Seems that "Senior Member Evolution" would do well to reacquaint himself the sticky about how to behave himself on this forum, and pay particular attention to the words underlined and italicized below: Inappropriate language and inflammatory statements will not be tolerated. 19. Would you elaborate more on this point please? Thanks.
  20. How about not being a jerk about it? Hint.
  21. That response was really obnoxious.
  22. Has anyone purchased, installed and is using the Asgard Defense rail system with their M4 Benelli? Would like to hear how you like it. How easy it was to install and how field stripping is with it. Thanks.
  23. I apologize for the necropost, but I'm wondering if the fact that it appears nearly every company that once made and sold railed handguards for the M4 no longer do should tell me something about the usefulness of the railed guards and maybe I should leave well enough alone on my M4? I just got my H20 LE model in and it is waiting for me to pick up at my FFL.
