  1. No problem, just glad to get it confirmed. Thanks for your help.
  2. THANK YOU .... So, clearly not a NP3 coated, but Cerakoted model. I appreciate the fact you posted useful information.
  3. So.. apparently nobody here knows that the dating system is after 2008. That's a bit surprising.
  4. OK, based on the information at this link, if I'm reading it correctly, it appears my M4 is stamped with a CS and since CC is 2008, it seems mine was made in 2024?? What am I doing wrong? Here are pics:
  5. Thanks, can you let me know why you think it is NP3 plated, not Cerakote? That would be good news, to be sure. I just bought it a month or so ago from a small dealer in Iowa, so maybe it is one of the older ones and was just NIB from those days? Or, let me ask this, is there a way I can calculate the "born on" date from the serial number?
  6. Reasonable offers will be considered. The longer it remains unsold the greater will be the temptation to keep it.
  7. Reasonable offers will be considered.
  8. Thanks for your help with this. I'll give everything a try. Because +1 matters.
  9. My M4 came with the factory 7 round magazine and, I assume, an OEM spring. Maybe I'll try another spring to see if that helps. I was using Federal 00 Buck and I could only get less than half the seventh shell in the tube, which surprised me.
  10. Right, as is the case with my Mossberg and Remington shotguns. You have to remember to place your thumb on the spring and slowly unscrew then release the tension. Thanks for confirming.
  11. Thanks for the useful responses. Question re. the spring retainer. Can I remove that entirely and just let the magazine cap retain the spring? And in so doing, perhaps realize a bit more room in the tube? Or is there a purpose for the spring retainer beyond simply allowing you to disassemble without the spring popping out of the tube?
  12. OK, guys...riddle me this. My M4 H20 with the full length mag tube will not take 7 rounds. I can only get 6 in the tube. I've been reading a bit about why and I'm, frankly, confused by what I've read. Remove the retainer cap? Cut off a four spring links? Buy another spring? Was gibt? As the Germans would say. Your thoughts, suggestions?
  13. Here is my H20 with the full Asgard rail system. The fit and build quality was superb. Installing it went well once I figured out how to orient the shotgun. The instructions were, um, minimal at best. A nice install video would have been nice to have, but I managed. Everything works great and once installed field stripping is a breeze, etc. Well designed. I like all the rail space for the options it provides, and the shell carrier is also equally well made.
  14. I heard however that if you stroke it too often you will go blind.
  15. When I asked this question recently, not sure if it was here or elsewhere, I was informed that their really is not a very effective option when it comes to screw in comps, which really are simply for the muzzle to be placed at the point where a door hinge needs to be blown apart for breaching purposes. The "compensator" allows the muzzle to "stand off" from the point of breach and eject the muzzle blast, etc. For the best compensation folks recommended having the barrel machined with port/vent holes in it. A pricey option. Please keep in mind you need to take care with muzzle devices that may well defeat the point/purpose of the Flite-Control wadding if you are using that ammo in your shotgun.
