I don't know where they are made. I have a few of them and have been pleased with the quality. For long gun cases it's either these or Pelican for me. Made in USA is certainly preferred. I do try hard to not buy anything made in China.

Looks nice, but a bit expensive. I use the US Peacekeeper bags.

I have refused firearms when purchasing from a LGS and requested to see another just because of blemishes. Of course this was done while at the store before completing any paper work. When ordering online and completing the transfer at my LGS I have always been lucky with the firearm being in the condition expected. Beauty marks are okay, but I would rather create them myself.

You are much more patient that I am. I would have cancelled my order.

I haven't noticed it myself. I don't have a new one to compare it to though. Have you had any FTE issues?

Yeah, I have heard plenty of bad about Botach. No personal experience, but I wouldn't buy from them.

My 11721 came with the factory 7 round 2 pc mag tube and it worked just fine. I did decide to replace it with Carrier Comp titanium just because I preferred the smooth 1 pc look and it is a little lighter weight.

Great choice for a first defensive shotgun! You will be pleased. Take the time to become familiar with it and enjoy shooting it. It is far too easy to buy all the cool stuff you see and find out later that some of it doesn't really work for you. I agree with StreetSweeper56 and his suggestion that you consider a sling and light, especially for home defense. Read up on what's available and take your time making selections. Just ask questions. I have the same stock on an 870 and their barrel clamp with sling QD. Never had issues but good stuff.

I also don't know if it adds performance over the regular A&S trigger housing but for the additional $141 over the standard black version I'll pass. Mainly because my 11721 is black and the black would be my preferred choice, purely for aesthetics. I will be ordering the black A&S trigger housing. If I had a H2O the NP3 version would be perfect.

I use their mount for an RMR and like you, it went on tight. Bought about 2 years ago. Maybe they changed something in the design of their receiver mount or maybe the screws were just too long?

What you ordered is all you need. I have the same set up.

I use the A-Zoom as well and have had no issue. They are all aluminum and I haven't seen any signs of damage. I have them for my other guns as well.

I agree. I use the same IWC mount which serves well for a light and sling mount. Personally I do not want a pressure pad and the wire to the light. The push button on the tail cap is fine. A simple QD sling attachment and light mount is what I want. For me the factory hand guards and the IWC mount are fine. I think the options available are more for looks unless you are mounting a bunch of different (unnecessary?) stuff.

I know that many have used the GG&G version. They include a modified factory latch and have a nice button ready to assemble. No drilling or tapping needed. I have one and it works well. https://www.gggaz.com/benelli-m4-tactical-bolt-release-pad.html

I have not installed that exact bolt release in a M2. However I don't think you need to drill and tap the hole to be any deeper that the length of the screw. Anything deeper may compromise the strength of the factory part and wouldn't make contact with the screw anyway.

Does that allow you to bring it to your shoulder quickly if you needed to shoot? It looks like you have it over your left shoulder and under your right. If your right handed I would think it would work better reversed. Over your right shoulder and under your left. Everyone is different and you need to decide. My thoughts are that the sling can allow the rifle to be carried in a ready position that you can bring to shoulder quickly. I'm right handed so for me it hangs over my right shoulder so I can bring the stock up to my right shoulder quickly. Watch this video it may be helpful. He is running a Blue Force Vickers 2 point sling. As I had mentioned, if you want the best IMHO return what you have and get one of these. An older thread about slings...

Try slinging the stock end on the right side. It will pull the stock close and pivot the pistol grip away from your torso. That may be more comfortable. Question... what is your intention with using the sling? Long hikes, moving quickly through the house? A long arm with a sling for me allows me to release the weapon to use my hands without dropping the weapon. It allows a quick transition to a handgun while retaining the long arm for quick access. With it over the right shoulder and under the left arm you can swing it back and have it behind your back if needed while still allowing a quick transition to a firing position. Earlier in this thread mkporwit provided a link to Blue Force Gear. Larry Vickers designed a sling for just this. Check it out, there are many vids with him detailing how to set up his sling. If you can't get the Benelli sling to work for you maybe you should return it and get something different. The beauty of the Blue Force Vickers sling is how quickly the length can be adjusted from a snug carry position to a looser shouldered position. Edit to add: Your first pic looks wrong and your second pic looks correct, but the sling seems kinda weird with an extra strap running along the length of the gun? Other than what is shown on the Benelli parts website I'm not very familiar with that sling. It seems too busy.

Which side you use it on is more of a personal choice depending on how you may carry it. I'm right handed and would want to use the stock sling slot on the left side. The front attachment doesn't matter because the metal hook can slide to either side. I like to carry it in a ready position with the stock end slung over my right shoulder and the front of the sling going under my left arm. The shotgun is basically slung across my chest upper right to lower left with the barrel pointing down to my left side (i hope that makes sense). A 2 position is just that, the sling attaches at 2 points on the weapon. A single point has both ends of the sling connecting together and attaching to a single point on the weapon. I personally prefer the 2 point except for my Sig MPX Copperhead K 4.5 which is very compact and the 1 point works better.

Agreed! I like to use the Vickers by Blue Force Gear and they are typically less expensive.
