  1. Blue Force Gear Vickers. I prefer the non padded. It's less bulky and I find it easier to maneuver.

    Shell stop mods

Good learning comment from your experience. I have the same GG&G installed and it works well. I'm not going to mess with it.
  3. You might consider replacing the front sling attachment ring with a piece that allows a short section of rail. I think that GG&G and Impact Weapons Components (IWC) offer something like this. There are probably others too. Then you could add a rail mounted laser on either the left or right side that could be actuated with your support hand. I have an IWC mount on my M4 for a Surefire light and QD sling. They are good quality. I do like the Surefire lasers and have 2, one on a J Frame and one on a 1911.

Hey Stranger, I'm curious what other benefits you are referring to? Is it just the weight savings (about 5 oz I think)? I have the OEM full length steel tube on mine and have added a Wolff spring and GG&G follower. It runs well. If it's just the weight savings, I'm not sure if for me the money (about $200) is worth it. Of course that's just my opinion. Sorry if this is a little off topic.
  5. Me as well... unfortunately
  6. Thanks Evolution... I forgot to mention the snap ring pliers. You do need those for the hammer. I always use gunsmith block, but a couple of blocks of wood could be used instead.
  7. I recently replaced the 4 springs in my stock plastic trigger assembly with Wolff from FFT. It wasn't hard at all. Just take your time and pay attention to how things come apart. A small punch, hammer (might not need it) and a pick is all that's needed to disassemble and reassemble the parts to the trigger housing.
  8. I did the same and it came with the 3.25 dot. The SYNC mount works well with the RMR, replacing the factory rail. Great design!
  9. I have the Trijicon RMR with a 3.25 and it seems perfect.
  10. I didn't realize that Scalarworks had discontinued the LEAP T-2 mount. It's still shown on their website. I agree it is tall. I didn't see their SYNC integral mount (much lower and nicer) available for the T-2. Thanks for the clarification Stranger.
  11. Check out Scalarworks. I have their integral mount for a Trijicon RMR on my M4 and like it. I also have their rail mount for a RMR on a Sig MPX and like it as well . Very well made and lightweight. Their integral mount doesn't seem to be available for the T-2, but the rail mount is. T-2 rail mount https://scalarworks.com/shop/quick-detach-mounts/leap-01/

    IWC mount

The IWC mount is a perfect fit with the Surefire Scout M300C. The direct attachment keeps it very low profile. You will be pleased that you got the M300C. I also prefer the 2 point sling style and got the IWC rear QD mount for the collapsible stock as well. My Vickers sling works great and I like the QD at each end.
  13. Roger that... good point.
  14. I have the Surefire M300C on the IWC mount. Got it as a combo (light and mount) from Earl. I bought it back in December and he had them in stock then. It's 500 lumens and plenty bright enough for my needs and it's light weight. I've found that much brighter is too much, unless you're trying to light up long distances.
  15. I like that. Maybe I'm wrong, but I always thought the Velcro side saddles needed to have one piece glued to the receiver. This design avoids that. So this fit's the M4? Sorry to butt in, not trying to hijack the OP's thread.
  16. That was ugly as hell the last time I saw the pic, still is. Like some sort of cartoon camo.
  17. Nice work, it looks awesome!! Is the NP3/NP3+ only available in the mat silver?
  18. No bids, doubtful any one would be interested at that price?
  19. Looks Great!! ? I have the same Trijicon RMR and Scalarworks mount, but hadn't thought about removing the front sight blade. Can you still see the mount through the RMR?
  20. As Stranger has said, the Trijicon RMR on a Scalarworks mount is very nice. I have the RMR with the 3.25 dot. I have not had any issues in bright sunlight.
  21. This is interesting for sling mounts for a right handed shooter. I have used Blue Force Gear for years and like their slings, but I have always mounted the sling on the left side (cheek side) of the stock for ARs. Just received IWC QD mounts for my M4 with a 3 position stock and was planning on installing the stock mount on the left side. I like to carry the slinged weapon in front across my chest. I haven't noticed an interference with the QD sling mount on the left side of the stock with ARs, but your idea of the right side is worth trying. Thanks
