  1. Hey Stranger, any chance you have a spare black IWC QD mount sitting around?
  2. Nope, it's not the follower. The CC is an exact copy of the OEM, down to the lines and all. It just has the US stamp on it.
  3. I wish I had known about that. Probably would have been cheaper.
  4. Thanks! Well to be completely honest, I knew that the Wolff spring is in stock at CC and is only $12 to replace if I screw up, so I decided to try my luck. haha. Plus I contacted Sean at Wolff Springs and he recommended I cut it. I thought about just leaving it at six but I knew it would drive me nuts if I didn't fix it. Also, I've wanted this gun forEVER and there's no way I'll let a cheap spring stand in the way of it being set up just the way I want. I'm assuming the Wolff spring FFT sells is nearly identical to the Wolff spring CC has listed, right? I was trying to figure out why they sell it for $12.99, and FFT has it for $24.99.
  5. Went back and trimmed off about 3/4 of another coil then rolled the cut end in a bit. I noticed the follower was skewing to one side due to the cut, so I put the unaltered end in the follower then the cut end at the retainer. All seven rounds go in just fine, but now the last round will push in by a mm or two, which seems about normal compared to the stock five round tube. Tested out loading with just one and then two rounds in the tube and it functioned without issue.
  6. Thanks for the info! I did some more reading and found a few people ended up just using the original spring from the five round tube and it worked fine. My fear is with use it would lose tension and cause those last rounds to jam. I decided to just trim the full length spring just enough to make that seventh round fit while leaving the spring retainer flush with the tube. In total I took off about five, maybe six coils then put the cut end inside the follower. Didn't curve the cut part though, so I might go back to do that. As of now it lets me put that seventh round in no problem. The round is def pushed against that stopper but it cycles just fine. Think I should trim off one more coil just to givt it a little bit more room? Or just leave the mag full and let it loosen up on its own?
  7. Hmm.. well even when shooting 3" magnums this gun isn't as bad as I thought. A 25-40% reduction from that will still be a noticeable difference. I think I'll go for it
  8. Okay, so maybe I'm doing something wrong here.. I just installed the 7 round OEM tube and installed a CarrierComp Wolf spring and a CC follower. Even within the spring cap about half an inch out of the tube I STILL CAN'T get seven rounds of Federal LE 9 pellet Buckshot in there. I'm going to take the spring and follower out to make sure it's properly seated, but I was wondering if any of you have another suggestion other than changing my choice of ammo. I just bought a case of it, so it will be feeding these shells for a while.
  9. Okay, good to know. Thanks for the info! In your experience, will drilling a hole take away from the effectiveness of the pad?
  10. Gotcha. Well I can handle the recoil as is but I still wouldn't mind a softer pad. If I were to order the 10403, I wouldn't need to drill anything or limit the movement of my stock, right?
  11. So there is no way to have full range with my stock and still have the pad, correct?
  12. Hey all, I'm a big fan of these buttpads but I haven't been able to find one for the collapsible stock. Does it even exist?
  13. I just emailed Marcy from CC to find out. I'll let you know what she says.
  14. Yup, I'm on the waitlist for the July batch as well. Sigh, I guess I'll have to settle with the OEM 7 round mag for now.
  15. I see. Well, maybe I'll just use the factory tube instead. I mean, it's only a 5.5 ounce weight difference, basically two shells. Is it really that noticeable?
  16. Question- would it be worth keeping the OEM tube once my CC is ready, or should I just sell it?
  17. My friend Jon lives in the San Diego region and is actively looking for an M4. Can you message me your cell? I'll have him reach out.
  18. I managed to find a NIB OEM tube, so I have that and springs/follower from CC on the way. Along with the sling, it feels good to be done building this. Stranger, I'm taking your advice and NOT adding up this build. haha
  19. Hot damn, that bronze is sexy. How much did it cost to get done? And nice group! Have you found a good place to buy bulk cheap Remington slugs just for plinking?
  20. Duck, I've got a brand new Limbsaver with the AirTech that I bought for my M4 only to find out it wouldn't fit. Pulled my BassPro receipt and paid $39+tax. I'll ship it to ya for $25 if you want it.
  21. Okay cool, thanks! I just got back from shooting it for the first time and I gotta say, I'm very impressed. Ran a combination of the loads I mentioned above, along with some federal buckshot. No issues whatsoever. What really impressed me though was when I ran Remington Magnum 3" shells through it, the recoil was not much worse than the other slugs. I was preparing for the pain those things normally cause but when I pulled the trigger, I hardly felt anything. That ARGO system is AMAZING! I was actually able to enjoy the fireball instead of wincing from pain lol
  22. My shoulder already hurts just reading this. What will happen if I just regular slugs through it, e.g. Federal 2 3/4" low recoil tactical loads? Will my gun not break in?
