  1. Not me, I don’t buff my shotguns after every ranger trip. I run a bore snake and spray some lube every now and again. I have a nova that has just over 10k rounds on it and I think I’ve cleaned it 2-3 times. Benelli’s just run. 25k rounds no cleaning is what I think the M4 did to get the military contract. YMMV
  2. If you have a vent rib gun then you have a few more options. Aimpoint makes a red dot with a vent rib mounting system. It will cost 1.5x the original cost of the Nova. Both the S1 and Afro are available. A quick search found this too… there’s are several folks producing similar products… Vent rib mount
  3. Man I don’t think you should have contact there. If open it up, air hose it all, hit everything with brake clean and spray it with a light lube, then darken the area with some sharpie and see if you’re still rubbing. I’d press Benelli, that’s not normal.
  4. If it ain’t broke… seriously though if it’s running well for 500 rounds so far I wouldn’t be concerned. If the finish is wearing off in spots and you start to see corrosion then I would come back to this. I’m sure Benelli would make it right. in the end these are tools. Even if they are beautiful Italian tools and they are going to take some hits as you use them for their intended purpose. It’s hard to tell from the pics and lighting but is the finish wear on the bolt down to bare metal?
  5. Good thread idea. I too have been holding out for a used one... but no one gives them up. @RxArms hint hint.
  6. Nevermind, I should have checked RXarms... he's killing it with the custom M4 parts.
  7. Finally tracked down a collapsible stock for the M4 and only needed to take out a second mortgage on the house to buy it. Pro tip: Buy the M4 ONLY with the stock you think you want to run. It will be the cheapest way to acquire it. Now that I have a collapsible stock on the way, what is the best way to mount a QD for a sling onto it in a secure way? I really prefer my QDs on the right side of the gun above the centerline near the butt stock. Not sure the M4 gives me many options for that? I am all ears. I have added Noveske's QD's to several guns and they are robust, but I am hoping to see what else is out there. Pics are always appreciated.
  8. Found them both. OUCH that hurt... $$$ but I am happy.
  9. How about some more info? What kind of gun is it? What kind of sighting system is on it? What kind of shooting do you do? What ammo are you using or plan on using? What is your shooting experience? Have you been shooting forever or is this your first gun or somewhere in between? How high and left are you hitting at at what distance? That info might get you some good info on where to start.
  10. Hey thanks nyc71 I am stoked I can get one full reload on the gun. That's cool.
  11. Thanks guys, knocked it out last night. Easy peasy.
  12. I have run one on my Benelli supernova truck gun for years. It’s the same model, they’re a really cool design. However, I would like a bit more output and it doesn’t allow you to run an extended mag tube but otherwise there are no drawbacks. I really dig the switch, though there is no momentary on/off which I prefer on a gun. The form factor should be imitated by other makers. The concept is rad.
  13. Looks awesome! Thanks for the pics. I like the way the pistol grip came out. I was debating what it would look like to do both the ridges and the grooves. Thanks for taking the time t post up the pics. on another note, we’re you able to fit 4/5 Ed’s tac card on their? All I have is 5/6 rounders and the forarm would slam into the cards, I was hoping a 4 shell card would fit.
  14. Funny, most find the factory pistol grip to be too long. Have you tried one of those? They seem to be the most plentiful of the stock for sale. Have you contacted Mesa Tactical? I am not sure if they sell a spacer but that is essentially what you are after.
  15. Truegunnut is GOOD TO GO! Fast ship, great coms and a smokin' deal. Thanks again @truegunnut I know there isn't a feedback system here but don't hesitate to do business with truegunnut.
  16. Just get both, you won't be disappointed. I am not!
  17. Thank you Steve, your work is impressive. I have a few things I need to send your way before too long. I appreciate the response.
  18. I have stippled a ton of Glocks over the years to give them more grip. Has anyone here stippled their Nova or SuperNova? I can't see how the plastic would react any differently to heat. I am going to chop down my Nova's stock and use the scrap from the stock as a test sample but I wanted to see if anyone here has already taken the plunge? Any lessons learned? I am working on a Nova pawn shop find I am converting to a SBS. Its project "cheap-scape" I bought the gun for $200 at a local pawn shop and I'll add a $200 stamp and pretty much be done. Here is a cheesy rendering.
  19. I love my Midwest Industries M4 rail too. Might as well toss that one into the mix. It is a great rail, very solid and looks great in my opinion.
  20. Hey @truegunnut I will take this. I'm sending a message now.
  21. Such a cool product. The time and effort you’re putting in to being innovative products to an older design isn’t lost on me. My M4 is an entry model so I won’t be able to try this but I LOVE how it will allow a “c-clamp” grip. So rad. I just ordered a M4 charging handle last night from your site. Keep it up man, your eye for details is what impresses me.
  22. Check the threads when it’s off and make sure nothing is binding before the end cap/nut seats fully.
