benelliwerkes
^^Doubt it. Average 2-3/4" cartridges are 2.2-2.3" long X 3 =6.6-6.9" leaving only 3" for magazine follower and compression of magazine spring. I have a 7.5" Rem 870 and it's 2+1. Scout_21
Hmm.. well if the 14" can take 5 in the tube. The loss of 4 inches should be equivalent to ~1.5 shells. That's how I got to 3 in the tube. But maybe I'm overlooking something?
benelliwerkes
It may well work. Again depending on the brand of cartridges, as we have detailed here many times before, its their cumulative length that dictates number loaded. Ghost loading will always be +1 as well. StrangerDanger
This is likely why the Israeli model went with a 12” package to keep the capacity at 4 in the tube. 3+1 would be a tough sale in an auto loader.
AnToNicS09
AVA Tactical mount ..... I have a question, is this considered normal "fitment"? I seem to have a gap around my barrel...all screws are tight and the clamp is bottomed out (fully closed) do any of you have the same gap? Thanks! Hey JR, I have the same issue with the mount, but mine is worst. I couldn't put the screws on because it won't even reach the threads. If the top is clamped closed, then the bottom will have a gap and vice-versa. I got the M4 brand new a few months ago so Benelli may have done some spec changes since AVA came out with their mount. I even checked with another M4 from a local gun shop and the mount didn't fit that one either. Joel from AVA Tactical has been helpful with trying to solve this issue, but it looks like I'll have to send the barrel to him for custom fitment. I'll keep ya updated.
