splashtx556ftw Posted December 7, 2008 Share Posted December 7, 2008 nothing , and i mean nothing will strip old oil and powder than berryman b-12 carb cleaner.it doesnt hurt the blue, but DO NOT get it on the furniture [ wood ]. it will peel the varnish right off. i use it on wood to strip it for refinishing.be sure to oil it well afterward too. Rost Posted December 8, 2008 Share Posted December 8, 2008 Warm soapy water. Yep, when my M1 needs a scrub, I just fill the sink and use Dawn dish soap and a toothbrush. Rinse it under running (hot) water. When I am finished, I run a hair dryer over the parts to make sure they are completely dry. Works great.
