country9994 Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 This is my first year turkey hunting does anyone use a scope on thief superblack eagle 2 and what kind? I just rigged my SBE II with a new Aimpoint 9000SC. Haven't shot it yet but it looks awesome and the camo matchs almost perfect. Quote
Flhawghuntr Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I use a Bushnell Holo sight with my outfit and it seems to work like a charm Quote
splashtx556ftw Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 yes. a simmons 6x24x50mm on top of a Remington 700 7mm mag. Quote
wizzlinwings Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 I've never used one, so I dont have any experience with them. For those who do use them....what do you do when you miss, for sake of a situation. I know...you guys never miss right? LOL! I missed a big bird a few years ago, and when he jumped and flew...I took him right out of the air like a goose. Thats where my waterfowling experience came in handy! LOL! I think that would be hard to do with a scope. Quote
splashtx556ftw Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 thats the down side to hinting them with a rifle. if you miss you rarely get a second chance. the up side is, if they ever stop, thier still in range. Quote
jrhuntcamp Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I've never used a scope on my SBE, but I will be mounting an Aimpoint 9000SC on it for this season ... ... not sure if I'm going to like it or not, but I'm going to give it a try ... Quote
jrhuntcamp Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 ... well I decided not to mess with my SBE LH, so I got a new SBE II LH which of course is factory drilled & tapped. I mounted the Aimpoint on the II, took it out to sight in & "wow" - I really do like the scope ... Shooting with both eyes open is really nice, & on the ground or in the air, doesn't matter ... very quick on the target. ... as soon as the Nitros for the II get here, I'll do a final pattern & I'm in the woods in 7 days ... Good luck to all this season ... "gobble-gobble" Quote
Trapshooter1 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 you problably dont want to invest in a scope your first year turkey hunting. A double bead will work ok or you can put some clip on rifle sights. I would get a turkey choke and see how you shoot at 45 yards and then see if you think you need rifle sights or a scope Quote
Brad C. Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I'm thinking about putting one on my 835. But it shoots pretty good as is. Some chokes will shoot to different point of impact. Quote
