M4 operating temperature?

hi guys.

 

i'm just curious, does anyone know the temperature range for the M4 to function properly?

i mean will it work in alaska as well as in the desert?

or will it freeze up?

Definitely works very well in the deserts of Iraq and Afghanastan for our troops.

ok, no problems with HOT temperature i see

but what about -40°C, not unusual in europe?

Personally tested in 130 degrees F in the shade. Direct sunlight was probably 170 degrees F. Not a single issue.

 

Extreme cold could cause issues depending on the lubricant used.
