BK Dawson Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I just purchased this gun for Turkey hunting. I thought it would come with drilled & tapped holes for a scope mount, but to my surprise there are no holes to mount a scope, is this correct or will I need to send it back to Benelli to have them drill & tap it for weaver scope mounts? My SBE II came with scope mount holes. Quote
austinbirdnut Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 This may seem like a silly reply, but why would you put a scope on a shotgun?? Your range is pretty limited distance wise and you should be able to hit a turkey with one shot and no scope! Quote
Bello Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 all supernovas are tapped! novas are not are you sure you have a supernova; also it should have like 4 lil holes above the reciever where you pop out little plastic plugs and put a rail on it then you mount your scope! let us know whats up Quote

albrubacker Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I have a SN apg that is not tapped Quote
BeermanJoel Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 The Benelli Web Site says that only the Supernova with the 24" rifled slug barrel has the receiver tapped for scope mounting. The Supernova field w/ 26" barrel that I had wasn't tapped. Quote
KB Fab Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 That's what I thought. I know the tactical models are tapped as well as the slug guns but not the field models. Quote
gfpd707 Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 I have a steady grip version that is tapped. I believe all those that have that stock are. Quote
albrubacker Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Does anyone know mount to use for a super nova? Quote
shotronnie Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Someone in another forum suggest these rails. I just order this, I guess you can mount whatever you want on your gun. http://www.sidearmor.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=46_49&products_id=62 Quote
