dwayned Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Hello all, Does anyone know how to remove the red plastic cap from OEM follower in order to put it onto domestic made ones, all without damaging it ? Many thanks in advance! Quote
Scout_21 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I slowly removed it with finger nails and a needle nose plier. Just took my time to make sure all 4 tabs moved forward at the same time to prevent damage. I think carrier comp used to send out a small piece of tube that was perfect for removal...so there is that method as well. Maybe someone still has it and can give id measurements for it? jk6672 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I comes out the front end. You twist off the end cap and remove spring retainer clip and spring and it will slip right out. Quote
Scout_21 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I think he was talking about just the plastic piece on the follower for one of the compliance parts....not the follower itself Quote
cspcrx Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I got the carrier comp unit and it came with a small piece of pipe to pop it out the back with. So a punch or something that matches the diameter of the hole in the back would work. Quote
Unobtanium Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I use a 357SIG Gold Dot cartridge. I just push. The slope of the HP cavity and its diameter are perfect, lol Quote
WrenchBender Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Using live ammo as a "tool" are always a very bad idea...... http://www.sniperforums.com/forum/off-topic/30942-50-cal-rounds-not-hammer-graphic.html Quote
