Magazine extension cause jamming

Maybe you guys can help me out a bit. I bought a ati magazine extension for my supernova. I took it out and it's been causing my gun to jam up. What is the reason for this?

I'd be looking to make sure I had the proper length spring.

Be more specific about the problem. "Jam up" doesn't effectively describe the issue your gun is having.

Another common problem with extensions is the follower hanging up on the "joint" between the original mag tube and the extension. Sometimes a different follower can alleviate the issue. Something else to look at.

I went with the Benelli brand mag extension,because the after market ones are not as true as a factory parts,ya might pay more,but less hassles.

My Supernova was consistently jamming on the last shell from the magazine.  It has a 2+ extension from Choate, and the follower they supplied was the problem.

Looks like switching back to the Benelli follower (the simple red cup style) has solved it. Totally smooth throughput and no jamming.

Discovered Choate’s follower has crack in it as supplied, but I think it’s probably more that it’s a poor design. They use the same follower for all their extensions so I’m betting this is a pervasive issue ... at least with Benellis.
