Stupid question about SBE/M4 recoil tube

On the FB page I moderate there's a guy that bought a "super rare" set of walnut furniture for an M4. He says the recoil tube won't work with the stock so he's going to put an sbe recoil tube in it. The furniture, I'm sure, is from one of the new black aces m4 clones. Anyhow...  Will that work?

I wouldn’t touch a recoil tube not designed for the M4… I would suggest modifying the furniture instead.

I'm not sure. I guess I'd assess to see what was interfering with the fit. If the attachment is the same as the polymer stocks with the rear sling plate assembly being what holds the attaching screw that interfaces with the bottom of the receiver extension.

 

I'd probably be all in if someone made a dark walnut stock set for the M4.

This is the post on FB. He paid $280 for the stock. I dunno nothing seems right about the whole ordeal

Looks pretty cool. I'd love to see the inside of the handguards.

 

It doesn't appear to have a buttpad or a traditional sling swivel setup. I'd guess it has a hole in the bottom of the stock that screws into the receiver extension kind of like how the Mesa Tactical Urbino stock attaches.

Yes. It will work. You would need the larger M21 thread size. I actually helped out another forum member regarding this earlier in the year and they installed it without issue.
