  1. I've fired my new M4 a bunch of times the past few weeks, nothing wrong with it at all, except for perhaps a little sloppy detent pressure in the bolt, that holds the charging handle, other than that, it is great. My old M4, also nothing wrong with it...

  2. Look at this forum. It has grown pretty heavily in the last few years vs. how it was for years. Check out Google Trends. The Benelli M2 searches don't turn up much of a trend. It's been pretty flat. The M4 on the other hand right around the end of 2019 began getting a LOT more hits. I say all of this to say that I think quality has been the same, we are just seeing more samples in the wild, and more people at home on the internet posting about it. The only thing "new" is that the stock extensions on SOME of the shotguns being put out are a hair crooked. That is new, but it is not entirely damning, as yeah, it's a thing that can happen. That it happened now, in isolation, doesn't mean a lot. Back in 2009 or so, I had an M4 with a FSB welded on so crooked I used nearly all my windage on the rear to zero it. Benelli replaced my barrel or front sight, I don't recall, probably barrel. I also notice some machine marks inside my upper receiver where the barrel tang goes on my new M4 Entry...weird? New sign of dull tooling? Well here is Kip Carrier's from the 2000's... Everything I am seeing from Benelli is "within tolerance" and just an increase in prevalence, more or less. This Blu Boi was posted in 2013 by Stranger Danger: Again, I am seeing nothing really bad going on here, just more guns out in the wild.

  3. Speaking of Benelli QC, down at the machine shop finalizing details on this 6 position tube, and we have 2 collapsible buttstock a here. 2020 is left, 2021 is right. There is an obvious difference with QC on these, 2020 production tube opening has a chamfer, 2021 doesn’t. 2020 fits and locks better on the OEM tube and the 6 position, 2021 doesn’t lock in as good with OEM and with mine. 2021 is also WAY tighter on the tube (for both) Benelli seems to have switched manufacturers in 2021. And it isn’t better..

  4. A friend of mine ordered a C-stock from them when there was a 1 week ETA. He got his stock in about 2, 2.5 weeks. Zero issues. Makes sense considering shipping and inventory time.

  5. Backorders, they are risky business. I am in control of my own production and finishing, and even with this, I rarely do backorders unless I am VERY confident of a ship date. I recently put up backorders for the Ti charging handle and even gave an extra 2 weeks past what I am expecting for shipping date as I never want to be the company that goes over the ETA. Backorder mess up can make or break vendors IMO.

  6. I just got back in from patterning 10 rounds of LE133 00 at 25 meters (maybe a hair longer, I paced it off, and my pace measures out a hair longer than a meter). The largest single-shell pattern was 9" across. The combined group size of 5 round's pattern was 11" and 13", for each group, respectively. This is a 14" Entry gun.

  7. The JKenny was developed for competition use. I ended up buying both the JKenny and the M2 latch to compare. I wanted to see for myself if the $150 JKenny latch is superior to the $45 M2 latch. I can say the OEM latch has gotten a little easier over the past few months to load, but it still doesn’t compare to the M2 latch. I can load shells with the M2 latch installed with my index finger easily. No more Benelli thumb. Knowing what I know now, I would have made the M2 latch one of the first things on the list to upgrade on my M4. In my opinion, $45 well worth it if you’re okay not being able to drill and tap for the larger pad as previously noted. I’m still gonna put the JKenny latch through it’s paces once it arrives and decide which to keep on. Thanks, Garza
