  1. I think the switch occurred around 2014, but I may be off a little. Do a full trigger test once you've done that trigger swap. I've done a few of those triggers that needed fitting to make function properly. The hammer would hang on the disconnector. So familiarize yourself with how the sears engage on your OEM pack before doing the work. How the hammer engages the disconnector, then slips past the disconnector to the trigger sear. How it behaves when pulling and holding the trigger to the rear vs. no pull on the trigger and rocking the hammer to the rear and engaging it. Make certain the safety is performing as intended. I'd also recommend using a good grease on the sear contacts, any will do fine but I've had really good luck with the standard weight Brian Enos' Slide Glide. One tube is probably a lifetime supply for the average shooter.

  2. Thanks for the recommendations. Transferring a NFA item can be complicated. When asking the ATF, they recommend getting permission from the ATF for each leg of the transfer which takes a while. However, their wording is vague and it seems to just be a recommendation rather than a mandate. Your extension is definitely off. It wasn't intentionally set that way. Whoever did the installation permitted the extension to slip while torquing the jam nut and didn't notice or care to check their work. You'd think they'd have a jig set up to do this kind of work? I'd recommend tackling the job yourself if you're willing. If you need help guiding your way thru it, I'd be glad to give you my number for text or calls.

  3. Not to bum you guys out too much, but having seen free and fair elections, free speech, fair reporting in the media, energy independence, common sense, decency, the border, etc go out the window ... Unless there is some sort of military coup or civil war or Divine Intervention to turn back the Woke Mob, it is just a matter of time before forums like this are declared to be Hate Speech Centers and are Banned from the Internet. No joke. I have no doubt that the Demoncrats in the ATF, FBI, Whatever Sneaky Secret Dept are already monitoring our posts here and on similar forums, and are just waiting to pounce. Sad stuff but it's also an interesting time to be alive - to watch individual cities, perhaps regions, and then the country as a whole just melt down into lawlessness and mayhem. Basics you need (Might need this tomorrow maybe): https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/70107 x2 or more These can tear when plugs are removed, and there is no round count predictor here. Could they last longer? You bet! But PM matters for optimal function. Things like the extractor would be inspected closely during the spring replacement. The Ejector spring is an exception due to it's absolute pain to service. 1 drop of oil on the ejector pin, and work the plunger. If no glaring deficiency is noted, you're done with that. 6. I had an M3 with that stock. Was easier to use that the C stock but probably not a durable (mostly polymer). As for everything else, I like the classic look of the M1014.
