  1. FYI... Another new drone swatting scatter-gun, the M4 Advanced Impact Drone Guardian... https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/benelli-introduces-them4-a-i-drone-guardian-44815792 An optional 26" barrel, a Steiner red dot(?), with everything else a modern day M4 Tactical may have (including the newer c stock).

  3. Looks like it is a Benelli LE model with a red dot, lengthen the forcing cone, and some new font on the side? How much are they going to sell those for? Marketing scam maybe? I guess it will get them to sell more Benellis and more M4's sounds good to me.

  7. One thing's for sure about the Mark 23 (& the D.E.) is that you've gotta down a "Can of Man" (or two) to handle them. Definitely not for "delicate" hands or "weak" shooters, especially shooting .45 Super regularly. I've got a spare slide inbound for my Mark 23 to receive a direct milling job for an Acro P-2. Should be quite a beast...

  8. For my Marine Security Guard assignments to the U.S. Consulate (Embassy now) in Panama City and the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, we had our M1014's (M4's) equipped with the stock Benelli split handguards. They were set up that way for a reason and they worked 100% without fail, as Benelli had intended. The stock handguards may not be "high speed" or have lots of accessory mounting options, but they are actually the best thing for the M4 especially if it can protect the Agro dual piston gas system in both Central America and the Middle East. My detachments were not always indoors with the rest of the State Dept personnel and Contracted Security crews, as we routinely trained with national & local forces (and even other countries' forces) in their varied environments with our issued gear. Our M1014's handled everything like a champ, even when we had a couple of actual incursions by militants and insurgents. For OIF and OEF (& to some extent, OIR), the M1014/M4's stock handguards took on and survived some of the harshest operating conditions and environments and still performed outstandingly well in protecting the dual pistons. Although I was equipped with my M240B, we saw "teams" with their Benelli's looking like they've been through literal #ell but they were still "taking out the trash" with them. As MSG, the only thing we couldn't do with our '1014's was modify the stock set up and functionality of them, lest we'd potentially cause an international incident. That should tell us all something about the stock handguards, as they just simply work and do their designed job. And that's to provide us Marines a perfect ergonomic place to grip to shotgun while we buttstroke the enemy in the teeth... (per DoS, DoD, and RoE regs, of course) (sorry about the wall of text and rant) I'm currently using the Agency Arms handguard on my M4, as it is a backup HD shotgun that needed a WML and a foregrip for my Dad. I can see myself with another M4 very soon as a "slick" SBS w/ stock split handguard & stippling.

  9. The traditional M4 weighs in at 7.8 pounds unloaded. This new model with its rail and different stock weigh in at 8.4 lbs. Considering most of the new stock is polymer, my guess is most of the gain lives in that rail. I'd assume this rail is either 6065 or 7075 aluminum. So its a bit of a chonker. Looking at the rail closer, I don't think those are MLOK/Keymod sockets. It appears to have threaded holes for attaching Picatinny rail sections. In two years, I'll be at 20 years on this platform. I've been riding the struggle bus chasing a proper rail system all that time for the sole purpose of mounting a weapon light in an efficient manner. Nothing beats the ergonomics of the OEM polymer handguards, extra points if they're stippled professionally. Every rail system out there for the Benelli M4 has been poorly designed. Poor installation systems that require the use of tools to service the firearm. Terrible ergonomics where you're holding onto a Pringles can. Stupidly positioned Picatinny/MLOK/Keymod rail positions that have little to no thought process on why they are there. Failure inducing designs where the rail makes contact with the gas pistons. All add substantial weight to the firearm. All rail systems abandon the enclosed ARGO piston design that keeps debris out and gases trapped inside. This is why the IWC weapon light mount is so popular for the M4. It gets you a serviceable light mounting solution without ruining the firearm with stupid crap. Unfortunately the mounting solution isn't perfect either on 18.5" M4's. Most of these rail systems require that you remove all of your accessories from the rail in order to slide the thing off of the barrel assembly. So after you've locked all your screws in with thread locker to keep them from being shaken loose, you get to do it over and over again for general maintenance of the ARGO system.

  10. to each his own, if one wanted small and mag capacity why wouldent you go to the Genesis Arms 12 5" or 7" barreled suppressed 12ga with 15 round drum? just won the big FBI contract for breaching shotgun? the m4 SBS is an amazing gun and quite compact and if you need more than 7 rounds of 00 buck or slug your in hell imho, you can also reload and there are other guns.. a 12ga for personal defense / home defense is about inflicting as much damage / instantly stopping the threat as soon as possible if were talking capacity, rifles always win. maneuverability pistols always win.

  11. Why would I need 15 rounds drum? Did you consider price of Genesis 12, it’s weight with a 15 rounds drum or it’s availability in my country before recommending it? On M4 SBS you don’t get 7 rounds in magazine, but you do in KS7. I’m not suggesting anyone to buy KS7 instead of M4, I’m saying for me KS7 makes more sense than an SBS shotgun.
