The two items I eliminated where the magazine spring seal ring which you just removed with your relative pliers, and the colored rod,,which is the shell limiter, save them for a hunt with your friends .Now when you undo your magazine cap, watch out for the spring fling beause there isn"t anything holding it in place ,keep your magazine end cap tight and blast away,---Small Arms Review magazine--new issue March 2004 Get it. Your first Benelli ,A--PRACTICAL,,,,what an awesome first.I grew up on a Benelli Practical,my buddies a 1999 purchase, blew away the others, with no problem,we use full power ammo and never had a problem.look at page 2 Benelli tactical topic, check it out man. seeya M1014

Sounds like your magazine spring seal ring is still in their,if you bought this M1014 new ,the spring seal ring is still on the end of the magazine tube that you unscrewed the fake one off.refer to page 50 of your manual ,it will show the tool needed for the job.thats what I had to do. Your a privileged man to be able to reconize and own such a weapon. keep us posted-----M1014

Good clear shots, thats the way mine is,I"m still gonna plug up the bogus vent hole, maybe try some kind of end cap that will fit snug. seeya M1014

hey man, the little extra end cap thing is called retaing ring for the three round limiter rod, definitly no need for either of them, got them stashed some where just in case a hunt comes up.not sure how the Nova is set up,wish I had one.my magazine end tube cap has the little hole on it which is the one that retains the spring.Slow down and regroup, theres nothing wrong with your equipment,I was the same way with my stuff,it will fit,get the manual out, match things up,thats why Benelli has the forum for us too unite, which is a cool idea, alot more variety tech from the masses than from one.Peace my Benelli Brother---M1014

Very intresting, mag extensions are the #1 very first thing I get for my Benellis, the M1 tactical extension came with the longer spring which I think is too much, the reason I say this is because M1014 extension came with no spring and I had to used the stock one which works fine. That hole in the front on the mag cap is gonna be plugged up soon.the extra end cap attachment I just took off and ditched it didn"t do any thing. I can get 7-2-3/4 in both my Benellis,I,m gonna try my stock spring on my M1 like the M1014 to check it out and feel the feeding differenc.thanks M1014 [ 02-04-2004, 07:05 PM: Message edited by: M1014 ]

That happened to me too,my friend gave me his practical stock and it went in just fine,I thought about modifying to make it fit, instead sold the pistol grip stock, didn"t like the drop of the comb, pistolgrip was fine bogus comb,I'm happy with the results. thankyou M1014

Hi,I looked at my manual and tore down my M1 tactical, too see what exactly is there. They are all held in there by retainting pins which means a punch set would be needed to drive out the pins. Examine everything carefully and refer to your manual,go slow and easy and things will work out,I've never had trouble with these items so this is good for everyone, keep us posted if you will, good luck M1014 [ 02-01-2004, 08:06 AM: Message edited by: M1014 ]

the #s are normal, the barrell #s are its part # identification, the reciever #s are the weapon serial #s,your Benelli box #s will match the weapons #s,if they don"t something been swapped. seeya M1014

RM,--- Saftey First, make sure the gun is unloaded.after that its all cake,Unscrew the magazine end cap,Carefully remove the barrel to get it out of the way, capture the two forearm halves. Now simply unscrew your fakie and screw your REAL ONE in,watch out for the mag spring fling and you will have to reuse the same spring,Put everything you took off back on and your set for action. Note refer to your owners manuall for the magazine spring seal ring page '50' if you want to put it back on.--------------- M1014

NOVA TACTICAL#1 IN PUMPS///////////////

Sport Shooting-COOL,Jan 2004- "Gun Test" magazine calls it Benelli over the other one.I"ve shot a military 590 which I guess was okay, not a lasting impression for me,a very imposing looking weapon but a real pig too handle. Now about the Nova, smooth, sleek, user friendly, doesn't need extra aftermarket gadgets to so call enhance it,put a Factory mag extension on it,& go.Barrel porting optional, more like barrel shroud for people burns &barrel protection. Doc,all civilian version M1014s from 0001-2500 serial #s have the extra heavy duty military fixed choke barrell,no changing out chokes reqiured.Theres alot of books, mags, internet stuff that will also show this feature ,and your owners manual will mention the choke option"if supplied" hope this helps M1014
